Dude you and a crow bellow are my inspiration for building a prerunner. I wanted to let you guys know that the beams are on clearance for $30 right now! I couldn't help myself and bought 2 lmao.
Yah buddy, crowbelow customs is hella cool dude, I take inspiration from his stuff too. You know what sucks is when this stuff goes clearence its usually discontinued within a year and I suspect that the beams wont be around much longer. Alot of these prerunner parts got lawsuits for using other peoples designs without permission, if you ever wondered why the ranger fender flares were discontinued? Grab em while there hot! Thanks for watching. I got new parts coming, stay tuned, eta 1 to 2 weeks.
That's wild they used other people's designs, I just got this on clearance as well for a 10.1 and was led to believe it was a drop in with nothing needed and come to find out I need the servo mount and possibly knuckles from the 10.2, and now I'm screwed cause the parts are all on backorder
@warriorkm3111 dude... This has been the issue with finding parts lately for these. Kinda sucks proline semi dropped the ball in my opinion with these. The beams are dope but the motion ratio on the trsiling arms with 90mm shocks is straight up weak sauce. Plus they're rear battery trsy should have been further back for better weight over the rear axle. You can find cheap full metal knuckles for these if you hunt. If you need a yeti trailing arm conversion kit stay tuned got new dual shock design coming in about a week. Thanks for peeping it
@DoubleClutchProductions sweet, I will have too, but I'm definitely filing a customer complaint, wouldn't usually but this has me a little upset, saying it's a kit that works with scx10.1 but it clearly won't, gonna try to get the needed parts comped
@warriorkm3111 I am with ya man. Misleading marketing in a way. Its getting harder and harder to find scx10ii parts these days makes you wonder why they went that way. Good luck brother, have a good weekend!
I have been building a few kits for homies. Scx10ii's are getting harder to find in good shape. I do build these for homies and subscribers that understand its exspensive to build up complete with good components. If you buy the parts and truck I charge $100 to assemble tune and test.
Lots of great tips in this video. Its weird that prerunner-style trucks aren't more popular but maybe this Proline kit is a sign that the tide is turning. Crawlers are boring, there I said it. lol.
The reverse akerman steering was intentional to help mitigate under steer caused from having a locked rear diff(most common configuration on SCX10's) it does look a bit strange though
I wish I would have gotten into more in hindsight. It sounds like I'm promoting the Ackerman but I only hinted at with a proper setup, then explained. Glad you picked up on that, like your style. 👊👍😎
I dont have a scx10 but I might just have to buy a kit one of these days and build a fresh one with your trailing arm kit 😭 truck turned out super sick!
@alejandromun6445 check my channel for the most recent shorts video. Also click on the community tab and see my recent posts. Have full chassis kits, full frame rails with a rear dual shock. Element Enduro 313 and 325 and Axisl Scx10ii 313. I am also going to offer a Element chassis with the front end setup for the Proline twin I beam kit 👊😎hit me up if you have any questions
@@DoubleClutchProductions your enduro chassis kit with the dual shocks and the proline I beams is EXACTLY what im looking for! I want a fresh build and I see the axial ii kits are discontinued 😭 so whenever they’re ready im ready to place an order or two!😂
@alejandromun6445 Excellent! Please stay tuned! Chassis kits should be here in a few days. I'm building the hardware kits tonight! Very soon brother. Hope you have a good weekend!
Controversial right? Lol, rotational weight is a whole different important aspect to the science. Axle weights help keep the super light weight axle planted on the ground to help for traction. Full size fabricated off road housings are heavy compared to a 1/10 scale plastic one. If youu Google sprung vs unsprung weight for wheels and tires its amazing the ratio of forces per lb of weight that goes into the shocks. Everything is a trade off, without axle weights, it would work better through the whoops in theory but lack traction in loose sand and dirt. In my case all I have is sand and my 2wd trucks get better traction with added axle weight. 👊
@@DoubleClutchProductions If you want better traction, use a different tire thread pattern,or cut one transversal tire thread line in an alternate pattern.,one cut,one stock. Rotational weight will reduce your power on acceleration, but increase stability on higher speed, like a longitudinal gyro, and temper longitudinal oscillation since the mass is increased on the corners. Reducing unsprung weight will help to improve shocks reactivity, since less mass will can accelerate and deccelerate faster. But adding axle weight and reduce wheel weight are complete contradictions as i understand, both are unsprung, and rotationnal mass is also unsprung mass here. You better inprove tire traction, and reduce unsprung mass the most you can,and get the most traction with your shocks by increasing rebound speed,or a more balanced weight distribution with half the weight on the rear axle. Are you sure the lack of traction is not caused by the slow suspension response ? its geometry does not help to get reactivity,it's a huge lever compared to a strut/wishbone. You need minimum weight with that long levers.
@michaelovitch I go over a lot of this in the video. Your contradicting the books and research that I am referencing. The plastic axle housing with the added weight in my experience is closer to a real world fabricated axles, with light weight housings on these rc trucks after a few whoops it starts to pack because of the limitations in rc shock rebound tuning. The added weight is controversial, keep in mind I've tested these trucks with and without axle weights. Why I say it's controversial is its easy to blanket a topic with right and wrong but without testing and experience were just reading books and regurgitating proven science. 👊
You will be excited to see what I did with the IFS 2, installed with kyosho outlaw rampage pro rear shocks and baja rey springs. Stay tuned video coming asap.
Hey man I was going to see about ordering the trailing arm relocation mounts along with the battery mount. I think I’m ready to start my pre runner build
Yah buddy, links on my RUclips to paypal. Pretty easy setup, you'll need yeti length arms, Element battery tray and some 5 inch shocks. Hit me up of you have any questions 👊
Awesome, thanks for the input man! I’ll submit an order today! I’m going to be starting this build from scratch, would you recommend the axial chassis or element enduro? My plan was to go ifs or I beam front and then yeti style rear. I also wonder would this be possible to run on the rc4wd blazer body? It’s got a pretty short wheelbase at 11.4in so it would need quite a bit shorter trailing arms
@kadenmaxwell8631 Right on brother, I used to think Axial was superior. I'd go Element unless your doing a twin I beam build. Element enduros are easier to find, get parts and are a tad more durable. Nothing wrong with either 👊hit me up anytime with any questions
@@DoubleClutchProductionsGotcha, that’s kind of what I’ve been hearing. Do you know if the I beam kit will work in place of the ifs that comes on the element trailrunner? I kind of want want to run ifs while the I beam kit is on back order :/
Thanks buddy. It is the stock scx10ii trans with the 17 tooth pinion. Wheelspeed does also come from the rear ring gear that is 24t. Time will tell if it will hold up but seems good so far
How did you remove the front battery tray? I was trying to figure that out, but part of the tray is connected permeability to the setup. It's right where the Iveam kit installs to the frame.
I actually trimmed it to fit my setup. This is a scx10ii cherokee so it's a different battery tray than the scx10. Do you have a scx10 or scx10ii. I heard from a few homies that it needs the scx10ii battery tray.
Weight biased is measured from center being 50/50. Old school BMWs used to have close to a 50/50 making them super balanced and excellent handling cars. Desert racing you want more weight over the rear hence 60/40 rear biased
Hey man, love the build! Do you have a website for the mounts i can look at? Ive been considering getting a scx10.2 and doing a prerunner build like this after i get paid at the end of the month and i really want to do a trailing arm rear setup!
Yah buddy. Currently sold out! I will have these available in about a month or so. New designs are coming. Moving to a new spot so everything is boxed up. 👊stay tuned
That’s the difference between the scx10ii and the scx10iii, I can only find the scx10iii in the builders kit I don’t wanna buy a new rig and take a bunch of stuff off I’m not gonna use
To be honest I'm not totally sure. I know they went a diff way in almost all the parts. I see SCX10ii come up on Ebay all the time and in decent shape. Not to mention all the scx10ii parts after I did this video are out of stock or discontinued. Sucks for sure. The Element Enduro is a good option but requires some custom stuff to get them beamed. 👍
@@DoubleClutchProductions I like the enduro I’m just not super impressed with the performance of the a arms on it they need to make a center mount kit with longer arms
@icebox829 I think people miss understand the performance of these trucks. If you had a center mount you would have to cut the frame rails to accommodate. I just got a IFS 2 kit and it's leaps ahead of the ifs 1. I proved the ifs1 Is functional and durable to be enjoyed.
so im starting a basic build with a stock scx 10 ii and the proline ifs kit. What 2wd transmission should i go with? i already have the hobbywing ezrun3652 paired with the hobbyrun ezrun max10. Thanks
I'm running the stock Axial scx10ii transmission and I have yet to see if it will hold up. I've seen some good aftermarket scx10ii transmissions but I don't have any experience with them. Stock one is a good starting point, still enough gearing to rip pretty good.
Did you run into the issue with front shocks rubbing on part of the bracket because the shocks were to big? Im having this issue and struggling to find shocks that dont rub
I did with some proline short course shocks. It's a crazy tight fit. These prosc10 shocks at full bump are less than a mm from touching the swing steer set. A few people reached out and just make sure that one shock is mounted in front of the beam and one behind.
@DoubleClutchProductions I used the proline for the slash and they were hitting pretty bad, so I currently have the traxxas big bore with mini t springs but I feel they aren't going to be enough after all the weight gets added. Are the springs on the pro sc shocks similar in diameter to slash springs like the proline?
@devinwharton5058 have no idea on the diameter. Cool thing about sc10 or the 12mm shocks they have a ton of springs and pistons and it sounds like you know that's how you get the front to work. Your on the right track, I'd look at a spring kit for those traxx shocks. If all else fails you know you can get some associated front prosc10 and it will work. Good luck broskie, have a good weekend
Yes sir. Sold out almost immediately. Sorry for not restocking sooner. I was also waiting for my back ordered twin I beam kit to build up one to promote it. I'm slacking. Hope to have a restock this month. I will post some content here when there inbound. Appreciate the interest.

Yo man! I love the videos. And happy new years. I was just hoping you could do anything or return to the losi baja rey build. Not the 2.0 though. The better King shocks version. I'd just love to see it!
In the works brother! Happy New Year!
I would love to have a kit like this
Fingers crossed RTR
I would order one or two if I could 😄
@michaeladams8530 Appreciate the kind words. To have people like your art is why I make content and rc vehicles
This is an amazing idea!!!!! Looks so awesome!
Super fun project, thanks for watching, happy new year
@@DoubleClutchProductions thanks for the content! Just subbed 🫡👊💪
@Triple_C_RC_Crawling 👊👍😎
Amazing build and video!
Right on buddy, thanks you 👊👍
This build is nuts btw!
It's a ripper
Happy 2024 broski!
You too buddy, happy new year 🎉
I love these videos
Thanks for watching and I do appreciate the kind words. Happy New Year buddy 👊😎👍
Looks the nuts man!
Crash and Burn! 👍
nice work
Thanks buddy
how much would it take to get one of these kits and a SC10 II?
I have been building a few kits for homies. Scx10ii's are getting harder to find in good shape. I do build these for homies and subscribers that understand its exspensive to build up complete with good components. If you buy the parts and truck I charge $100 to assemble tune and test.
Amazing build!subed 👍
Thanks for the sub!
Lots of great tips in this video. Its weird that prerunner-style trucks aren't more popular but maybe this Proline kit is a sign that the tide is turning. Crawlers are boring, there I said it. lol.
Great point!
yea! prerunner trucks are like the mini solid axle monster trucks. guys would spend $700 to build one and now you can get them already done!
Great video🎉
👍👊😎
Man that looks cool
Came out super cool, thanks for watching
The reverse akerman steering was intentional to help mitigate under steer caused from having a locked rear diff(most common configuration on SCX10's) it does look a bit strange though
I wish I would have gotten into more in hindsight. It sounds like I'm promoting the Ackerman but I only hinted at with a proper setup, then explained. Glad you picked up on that, like your style. 👊👍😎
I need HOTLINE to make a long travel TT beam kit for most rigs including the UDR
👊😎
you killed it dude. thanks for all the secret sauce. you sketched your designs in solid works?
Yah buddy, thanks man. Fusion360
Gorgeous.!! 👍 👍 👍
👊😎👍
I dont have a scx10 but I might just have to buy a kit one of these days and build a fresh one with your trailing arm kit 😭 truck turned out super sick!
Ha ha,I know how that goes. Hit me up when your ready 👊😎
@@DoubleClutchProductions I most definitely will 😂 Would you ever do a dual shock setup for the trailing arm kit like the enduro chassis has?
Love it!!🤙
Yah buddy, thanks for watching 🤙
Why would you add weights on the axle and use the lightest wheels as possible ?
@@DoubleClutchProductions
If you want better traction, use a different tire thread pattern,or cut one transversal tire thread line in an alternate pattern.,one cut,one stock.
Good video!
Right on 👊😎👍
A M A Z I N G!!!!
Thank you so much, happy new year
I GOTTA GET THIS KIT!!

Check out the new Element Enduro IFS2 that Camburg designed!
You will be excited to see what I did with the IFS 2, installed with kyosho outlaw rampage pro rear shocks and baja rey springs. Stay tuned video coming asap.
@@DoubleClutchProductions Hell yeah dude love your content, super inspiring for me
@hwinterr Right on broskie 👊 like minds!
Nothing wrong with either
👊hit me up anytime with any questions
@@DoubleClutchProductionsGotcha, that’s kind of what I’ve been hearing. Do you know if the I beam kit will work in place of the ifs that comes on the element trailrunner? I kind of want want to run ifs while the I beam kit is on back order :/
If not, I will suck it up and get the solid front axle variant while I wait for the I beam kit to be back in stock
What length limit straps are you running back there? She looks killer man!
85mm, I'm running hot racing 1/10 scale 85mm straps 👊😎👍
Hey brother, love the build. Im curious as to what gearbox you're running in this beast?
Thanks buddy. It is the stock scx10ii trans with the 17 tooth pinion. Wheelspeed does also come from the rear ring gear that is 24t. Time will tell if it will hold up but seems good so far
How did you remove the front battery tray? I was trying to figure that out, but part of the tray is connected permeability to the setup. It's right where the Iveam kit installs to the frame.
I actually trimmed it to fit my setup. This is a scx10ii cherokee so it's a different battery tray than the scx10. Do you have a scx10 or scx10ii. I heard from a few homies that it needs the scx10ii battery tray.
this is BA!!
👊👍
So I guess I can’t use this with an scx 10.3 what a bummer….im wanting to convert it to a pre-runner soooo bad to breathe new life into it
Bummer, I never got a scx10.3, if enough people reach out I can get a kit designed, don't hold your breath though lol 👊
Very good and through video! You are using F360 I presume?
Thank you, Fusion 360 👍
Could you re-explain a little more on the 60/40 rear weight bias thing? Is that centered on the rear axle? I would love to know!
Weight biased is measured from center being 50/50. Old school BMWs used to have close to a 50/50 making them super balanced and excellent handling cars. Desert racing you want more weight over the rear hence 60/40 rear biased
@@DoubleClutchProductions ahh okay I get it now, thank you!

👊😎
Is your trailing arm conversion and battery relocation kit available for purchase somewhere? New to the channel and love what I've seem so far!
Yes sir, links to PayPal on my RUclips, any questions feel free to reach out
Hey man, love the build!
👊stay tuned
This probably cost as much as my first car.
Lol unless you found a $600 car..... And this would still be more reliable. 👊👍😂
Let er rip
Tater chip, 👊😎👍
When are the shock and battery mounts going to be available.
Links to my PayPal on my RUclips. Limited limited run👊
And here i thought i was clever modding my wltoys to carry an action figure.
Lol well said, 👊👍😎
That’s the difference between the scx10ii and the scx10iii, I can only find the scx10iii in the builders kit I don’t wanna buy a new rig and take a bunch of stuff off I’m not gonna use
OFF TOPIC - Where to download the MayCAD files for your two Sim Rig Designs? Thanks.
Not too off topic, for sure can get those to you. I will update the links when I get off work today. Love to share with like minded peeps. 👊😎👍
so im starting a basic build with a stock scx 10 ii and the proline ifs kit.
@@DoubleClutchProductions thanks man!
@robhoskins4120 👊👍
@DoubleClutchProductions I appreciate the help! Thanks bro! Have a great weekend
Are you dropping Scx 10.2 frame rails like you did with the element?
Yes sir. Sold out almost immediately. Sorry for not restocking sooner. I was also waiting for my back ordered twin I beam kit to build up one to promote it. I'm slacking. Hope to have a restock this month. I will post some content here when there inbound. Appreciate the interest.
Finally got my new protypes in yesterday. Should have some more info soon, building tonight 👊
