You are using S23 ultra for a week and yet you have an Apple Watch ultra , which means an iPhone as your secondary device .. that pretty much tells everything.. you can’t do justice to one device by leaning one leg on another ecosystem … I don’t understand these evaluations at all .. everyone gives opinion on android devices being an alternate but can’t leave their Apple Watches 😊
Im always puzzled by this.
Almost every youtuber has a "main" device. Something reliable they are used to. Usually an iPhone. This absolutely doesn't mean they can't do justice to phone review. You can still test all the necessary parameters that makes a good phone. I think only real compromise you make in such situations would be finding problems which you would usually encounter if you depend on the device for it's day to day usage
The purpose of a review is to help buyer make the decision. Not just read the spec sheet and praise the phone. You have tons of youtubers (especially from India) who would do the latter and call it a "review". Much prefer this review over those
@@F2_CPB you can only say , one can substitute another only when you use that one exclusively, navigating around your dependencies for another and then opine on the experiences … you cannot state one can substitute another when you use both in your day to day life , that is ridiculous

I had a thought, the sensors in every premium phone are going to be of roughly the same quality/ technology. So realistically the noise levels will be almost exactly the same. Every phone has a super wide aperture lens like f1.8 or lower. The only thing you can do really to reduce noise optically is have a better OIS and IBIS to allow shutter to be open for longer.
But being able to see the noise means they're not over processing unlike most phones. My iphone 13 pro max over sharpens and over noise reductions every image and it annoys me, I have to shoot in proraw because of this.
I think that's the biggest reason why phone photos are so much uglier than photos from big cameras and that's the noise reduction and sharpenning.

Sad to see the shift of smartphone size from mini to ultra. But you can't fit the huge camera bump like 1inch sensor or periscope in a small form factor even if you can the weight distribution will not good.. although apart from the small userbase fan of small phones literally most of the people want big phone now a days thus brands is listening to their actual customer not fanbase

i have noticed that gamma has done poorly on s23 series such that colors are not as vibrant as that of s22,s21 series even in vivid mode. can u talk about this?

Please comment on that iphone lacks some of very basic features of a phone and it makes daily phone activites complicated.
Which basic features, according to you, do iPhones lack? Since my switch from Android to iOS last year (after using Android for 12 years), day to day activities work brilliantly on my iPhone. Idk what's so complicated that you're talking about. (Fyi, I moved from a Samsung).

1. No call records in iphone while others can do it.
2.why not we can have a back button on for comfortable use.
3. Truecaller doea not work on iphone and we cannot deny the usefullness of the same.
4.We cannot connent iphone to laptop for viewing files.
5. No file sysytem in iphone like in androids phone. File system folder in iphone not reliable and it can be romoved easily from iphone and we will loose all files in one go.
Please reply point wise. Ita healthy discussion. Please correct me if i am wrong. I want to use ios but beacuse of these i think twice before buying iphone.

S21 fe should be better buy in my opinion. Otherwise Pixel 7 and Nothing phone 2 are great options in that price range.

there will be but the same goes for Samsung phones. If you don't want heating go for nothing phone 2.

Can you please explain why we have to turn off the Ram Plus feature?
Ram plus starts using your ROM as temp RAM and it makes it a bit slow because the storage is not as fast. So turning that off won’t keep everything in RAM but whatever is there will load faster.
Great review, I agree totally about the camera. I loved the rest of the phone, but for anything other than well lit scenarios, it was really poor and noisy.

There's nothing wrong with preferring something else, this is mountain top tech though, you can't deny it, the learning curve is there, even with seasoned users new things happen every year, i love it, people like me stay on the edge having the newest experiences first, someone has too but this ultra/ note line is too good, and now we are waiting for the next big thing, until then let's keep perfecting what we have

I'm using Note 20 ultra.
Design:
Note 20 ultra has a curved display which makes the phone beautiful and premium.
Note 20 ultra screen has Minimal bezels which gives 92% screen to body ratio
S23 ultra comes with a flat screen with little curve which doesn't look beautiful and the bezels are thick with 89% screen to body ratio which looks doesn't give the premium look.
Camera:
Note 20 ultra has 12 megapixel regular camera and S23 ultra has only 10 megapixel regular camera.
Coming to the main lens, I tested both the phones with the main lens of 108 MP vs 200 MP and the output is the same.
Quality is the same.
In some photos 108MP giving better output than 200MP
(200MP is an absolutely a marketing trick to attract customers)
In the regular camera, both the phones shows same results and in few pics, Note 20 ultra showing better quality.
Selfie Camera:
Note 20 ultra has 10 MP and S23 ultra has 12 MP
Here S23 ultra has more MP but the colors are yellowish in S23 ultra. I mean the skin color gets warm.
The selfies on Note 20 ultra are natural.
Storage:
Note 20 ultra has sd card option upto 1 TB
And there is no sd card option in S23 ultra.
The only thing S23 ultra has the better Processor.

The day i was planning to buy that regular s23 that Google pixel 8pro's video with that striking sky blue colour got leaked. Now i will keep my regular pixel 7 and buy that 8pro when it comes out..😉
And it's gonna be matt finish on pixel 8pro's glass back this time, only hoping for a better hardware to begin with.

@@shantanuvarun9900 I have no such issues, but my battery life is very poor. My phone only heats when recording videos for a longer period of time. And I do have to agree on poor cellular reception..

I can get the S23 8/256 for 600 euro, and the S23 Ultrà 8/256 for 698 euros (so just 100 euros more).
I am very willing to buy compact phones but the very small price difference is making me uncomfortable with the decision.
The Ultra is slightly superior and costs just a tad more, while the base model is more compact and easy to use with one hand but has less battery life, banana blur issue and so on.
I am really confused since I need a new phone and these two are the most interesting candidates.
I will tell you the S23+ is a fantastic option. Its 95% the phone the ultra is & much more easy to hold & use. Much more comfortable then the ultra. It's very hard to say no to the ultra if it's such a small price difference. For me it's $200 difference & I had the S23+ & sent it back because the ultra was really bugging me so got it & now I know the ultra is awesome & like it a lot but I wish i was still holding the S23+ because it's much more comfortable then the ultra with its pointed corners & how it pokes into your palm & just isint pleasing in the hand. I hope I didn't confuse you even more lol.

I have tested both in these days since I have friends who have both, and I can say that although I love the form factor of the base S23, the Ultra at 89€ more cannot be left on the shelf. I am buying the Ultra version even though I have very small hands and love compact devices.
You do give up some functionality and a bit from the camera + the super charging
If it would of had the super charging it would of been better
10 minutes of charging at 30% easily holds me till next day so that's a big plus for me (normally I charge at night, but I really want that for some situations
From 30ish % to 85%(I'm in battery protect as I don't need more than that for 99% of the time) is like 30 minutes and that can last me close to two day depending on usage

Uncomfortable, big, not perfect for me, but I have paid less money than expected for it.
998 - 300 for Cashback = 689 euros.
Then I registered to another Samsung promo and they sent me a free Galaxy Tab A8, sold it for 100€, so I basically got an S23 Ultra for 589.
Cannot complain, but it doesn't suit me perfectly. Would have never bought that for its full price: I don't like the size, OneUI is not my favourite UI, the colors in the photos are off when taking pictures of people and landscape (skin tones, foliage and skies are not captured properly), and the white balance is just off.
Network performance isn't exceptional too, I had to change provider to get a more stable connection where other phones from other brands have no issues.
A great well rounded phone, but I keep it just because of its price. Not really what I would call my ideal one.
wish samsung made the S23+ like the ultra...cuz the ultra is too big and thus impractical
just bought s23 plus .....it's smooth but I guess iphone are still superior.....going to sell it for iphone 15 pro max......great review though

Although I love my S23 Ultra so much, I would say that his comments are still acceptable, for lack of better word.
I didn't see him condemning anything other than stating some of the downsides that I would personally admit myself.
And he did say that he recommends the phone to others, which is why I fail to see why he should be called as such.

Hi. I really need your opinion on this one.
I am an s22+ user. I really want to giveup this phone because of the battery life and the frequent gitters in the performance. I want to upgrade to s23 ultra but the size is a burden. If I go for s23+ it is just a processor uograde over s22+. S24+ will probably be an Exynos crap.

Wait for S24 series, may be Exynos will turn good or they will use Snapdragon in India. I am also S22+ user but battery doesn't annoys me that much because I am mostly work from home & also have many other devices in house.
