Farm supplies production from omatana is 240,000 conversion per month, per recipe, with multiple recipes. Input 2 million, output 2 million. Also makes digestate at the same time for grass and chaff, fertilizer and lime, and tmr. Also accepts bales. $25,000 to place down
Thank you driver 53. I was having issues trying to find a silage silo that held a million plus liters, and came across this video. It really helped me. Thank you and GOD bless.
Field Products Factory has been my go to for a while but it's a huge silo bin compared t everything else so can look a bit odd, the other downside is that the unload/fill points are too narrow to take a forage harvester with the header still attached. I sometimes do the massive grass field on some 4x maps and harvest upwards of 10 million litres each time, forage harvester with the superior dump trailers in tow work well but even with five harvesters there is a lot of dropping/picking up headers every time a trailer is full.
I use oma tana’s farm supplies production . Worthy mention excepts bails 2 million capacity makes grass chaff hay and STRAW silage . Put some water in it too and get liquid fertiliser too .
It is great that there are so many mods now for console players. But this is what I love about playing on PC...I pick the mod that comes closest to what I want...and then I just mod the mod to be exactly what I want. 🤠
Farm factory would not even make my list if so just because it is useful i would place it dead last only because if you wanna make silage only or just one product because it's large capacity and various inputs all your products you don't want there will still pile up there if you are automatically distributing other products like potatoes etc
How DARE you pit “best” in the title and then, not tell us what you think is best. Great vid! I have the fermenting silo - small stave… yea Ill be replacing that, adding an additional mini biogas and extra biogas distribution locations
Where do people like to be on the "realism" thing? I like the slower silos best on this chart because of the perceived realism. I find oma tana's mods and the multi-fermenter to be amazing and well done, but I tend to avoid them because it's not quite realistic enough. 🤔
@@XD-rd8zd "Farm Production" because it's able to mix pig food and tmr. It also dries hay, makes seeds, and ferments silage. The only unrealistic thing about it is that a building with that much capacity would be much bigger and more expensive irl. So, I guess we just assume that it has a basement...This is not related to silage, but I also like "open-air garden", it's a fairly realistic mod that can grow certain crops year-round because it has a greenhouse mode for the cold days. It gives you more choices than the in-game greenhouses while still growing things that are realistic, like potatoes and corn, two staples for pig feed recipes.
@@XD-rd8zd So that post above is about my favorite oma-tana "barely realistic" mods. This post is about my favorite completely realistic mods and one plausible mod for processing grass or chaff. For Hay: Hay Storage and Ventilation by Austria Modding. This appears to be based on a European grass-drying shed; it looks right and works as you expect. Grass gets put in, air flows through it, and dries it. For Silage: American Fermenting Silos by Vertex design. That is the most faithful replica of an American harverstore I have seen in Modhub. It's very realistic, slowly fermenting grass and chaff both, with minimal losses and expensive, just like the Harverstore irl. For grass specialists, I recommend The Lort's grass dryer, a building that does both hay and silage from grass, but not chaff. It's the kind of building that would be possible in real life but I haven't seen it yet. As a side note, there are a few silos floating around modhub that are made very much like the traditional concrete silos on American farms. My father in law still uses one and likes it. I don't really have a favorite of that type, I think they are all good.

These are all I use anymore. I very seldom bale anything. These and a TMR silo. No need to do anything else. Great video driver 🎉🎉

I would really apreciate it if you could put down links to the mods you showcase like other content creators. Makes it so much easier to find them.
I'm definitely going to be adding a few of these to the farm!
I have just started trying to do the whole silage bunker thing and I think I am ready to move on 😂 Perfect video for me to find.
The Silage fermenter by OmaTana is the best by far.
It's a great one because you can take the grass back out but it only does 120k per month.
@@Driver53Gaming not if you turn hay on then hay silage

Nice representation 😁. Great work!
I'll stick with Oma Tanas fermentation silos
Thank you for all the information.
Fields products factory is best because you get silage from grass, hay, sugarbeets , sugarbeet cut, and potatoes.

but which one is the best for more realistic gameplay?
11:27 Can't you set the bale chipper to "distribute"?
I like the Fermenter Silo out of the Hessian Farm pack by BERNIE MW, as it allows for making silage from straw.
Yea, like that one too specialy because it fermetes straw.
Also acts as a hay loft as you can get the raw ingredients out again. 2,000,000 litres each!!!
On the map 4 fields, is a fermentising factory already present.
What is the mod because i can't find
You didn't mention if they ferment STRAW into silage.

I feel you - I'm looking forward for some "top 10 mods for more realistic play" vids
@@XD-rd8zd Since this comment, I have started using a few oma tana mods, because they integrate so well with animals.

The warehouse ferments wrapped grass bales after two months, at least as of 2024.
there are only 2 good fermenting silos
those 2 with DOUBLE YES
Get the bale chipper silo and you can use anyone you want
