Unrelated to mc but I had the name “sex” on fortnite and couldn’t open the game because of the 20k friend requests. I sent in a suppprt ticket asking to clear them out and all they did was change my name to user and then a bunch of numbers. If you tried changing your name to sex back when I had it, it would say the username isn’t available because of language, not that it was already in use. Idk how I even got it
Honestly it's incredible how far people will go just for virtual usernames in a block game. I really feel bad for Akron and other people that constantly have/had to deal with this shit

thanks for the shoutout :) Also I owned Tokyo for 4 months before it was locked, technically 6 months if you count the first account I used to transfer the name. After those 4 months were up the account was in limbo for a few months before I managed to confirm Mojang simply moved the account back to Jokubolakis' email without either one of us knowing. At this time we had a deal that I'd pay him a service fee for helping me retrieve the account but of course, the real owner had never sold the account before and I had simply bought it from a hacker without knowing. So he had just lied and had no interest in helping me is fair although unfortunate so he simply changed his account back to normal. I understand you can't simply buy memories from a guy like that so I'm not mad at him at all.

My account got hacked, too, tho I never had a particularly unique username. Everything was fine with the old account system, but then came the migration requirement and shortly after I migrated, my Microsoft account got hacked.
I deployed for like a year during COVID, and when I came back and opened up Minecraft, my account name had been changed as had the skin. Luckily, since the email was the same, and hadn't been hacked, I just had to change the password. Still weird, as my account name wasnt anything that special, but I imagine it was because some people purchase bot or throwaway accounts through black market means.
Or just secure your account properly and setup your 2fa to be unrecoverable by social engineering. My accounts have not even been remotely close to obtainable for s1mmers.
While not being as valuable as the others, I had the account "children" which was somehow taken away from me by either Microsoft or the OG seller. I've been emailing microsoft and mojang since last year and I've been ignored ever since.

I was really angry because there didn't seem to be any security measures in place to prevent somebody from just setting up a basic password-cracking bot and breaking into my email and Mojang account with minimal effort. The email was a Yahoo-mail email and it was only a sub-account of another email address. And at the time my account was not eligible to upgrade to a Microsoft account. Neither of these accounts seemed to have any password cracking protection, and there was no option to set up something like two-factor verification. In retrospect I should have moved my account to a different email, but after the third time Mojang support gave me my account back, I think that they blacklisted my email address, and so I just gave up at that point and bought a new account. My account must have been in a major leak because people used to email me all the time asking to buy my account, but I never had any intention of selling it, and now I don't even own it anymore.
The way that the player who bought DB's account flexes to everyone on the server, is just despicable to me. It really says alot about the kind of people who's in the market for these accounts

When you recover an account with Mojang support, Mojang automatically reverts the username. It's unlikely jokubolakis changed the name back himself.
