"Mastering Access: The Proper Procedure for Opening the Hood

To open the hood of a Cadillac CT6 equipped with a two-pull latch system, follow these steps:
1. Locate the hood release lever inside the vehicle. It's typically positioned on the driver's side, below the dashboard, near the left knee area.
2. Pull the first hood release lever firmly. This will disengage the primary hood latch. Pause then pull the same latch a second time.
3. Exit the vehicle and move to the front.
4. Feel for the secondary hood release lever located at the front center of the hood's leading edge, just below the Cadillac emblem.
5. Pull the secondary hood release lever towards you. This action will fully release the hood latch.
6. Lift the hood upward until it's fully open, and then securely prop it open with the hood support rod.
Exercise caution when opening the hood, especially if the vehicle has recently been running or if the engine is hot. Always ensure the hood is securely latched before driving.
