    We were there. It was a truly great race. There are no words to describe the experience. Something I will never forget. My hearing hasn't been the same since. Bring back the V-10 or the V-12.

    Raikkonen's performance in the wet that day remains one of the most impressive wet weather drives I have seen in the 21st century. The Michelin wet was absolutely NOWHERE.

    Kimi was so chilled in the interview, but what a season this was. So damn exciting. Kimi was just unreal in this race (and all season). Somehow made those Michelins work in the wet and kept up with Michael on the far superior Bridgestones to setup a showdown at Suzuka.

    it was actually Barichello's fault : he steered too much, and he knows that Montoya is in the inside of the corner

    That costly thing when Williams delayed their fuel rig (on 1:35) might be one factor you might agree.

    Why Ferrari didn't use the tobacco livery, when Mclaren used it?

      You could use one sport with a brand in the US and Marlboro was used in Nascar or IndyCar by Penske that season. All from hazy memory of course.

    @thestonecoldandy Marlboro owned by Philip Morris was apart of the Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement in 1998 to not advertise their product for Motorsport events, Mild Seven is from Japan, West is german company owned by the british, BAR had a bar code for Lucky Strikes because they are owned by RJ Reynolds and was apart of the settlement agreement. Jordan was Benson and Hedges ran "Be On Edge" instead of Benson & Hedges because they were associated with Philip Morris since the 1950's.

    Montoya was a great driver,but he couldn't be regular and for this reason he never won the title...He can't stay to the same level for all the season...

    This was one of the greatest wet weather drives ever by Kimi. You ask anyone at McLaren, and they will tell you nobody has a CLUE how Kimi finished second on that GARBAGE Michelin wet tyre when Bridgestone had a 1.5+ second advantage in those conditions. Beyond belief performance, NOBODY mentions.

    @mgarofano Tell me one CREDIBLE person who places the blame on Webber for the Singapore incident, to be perfectly honest Hamilton was a tad to brutal in his squeeze on Webber and paid the price for it.
    As for the Montoya incident here, refer to 3:54 where Button demonstrates how NOT to run into someone into the 2nd corner, and refer to Japan 2008 where Massa was given a penalty for spinning Hamilton in a simmilar fashion to what Montoya did here. Dont let your Montoya fantasies cloud your view.

    Bulshit!! Barrichelo was a little ahead but Montoya had the position for the next turn and Barrichelo didn't give him space so contact was inevitable and no penalty should have applied.

    Oh shit, fuck that stupid rain, i crashed i would have won that race. Also i don't think that drive through destroyed Montoya's championship dream, it was that fuel hose incident and that stupid decision to put full wets on Montoya instead of intermediates.

      Such a stupid comment - Michelin clearly cheated in that season: contact zone became bigger in race just on their tyres.
      MSC - 6 wins, JPM - 2 wins, KR - 1 win. So STFU

    • @ciaronsmith4995
      @ciaronsmith4995 5 лет назад +2

      @@johnpreston8621 The tyre change ruined this season. Raikkonen was far superior to MSC or JPM in 2003. That McLaren was nowhere near the Williams or Ferrari yet Kimi dragged it to the final round. Kimi was robbed at the Nurburgring as well due to unreliability. Kimi deserved 2003.

      Ciaron Smith
      Just words. Even DC won on that McLaren. MP4-17D wasn't such bad as you're trying to tell.
      There is no place to miracle in F1 - you just can not win the race and be 7 times 2nd on the bad car.
      And again - Michelin cheated in 2003 and Bridgstone was clearly slower in the races.

    • @ciaronsmith4995
      @ciaronsmith4995 5 лет назад +2

      @@johnpreston8621 DC only won because Kimi had a pitlane speed limiter glitch in Australia. Kimi outpointed Coulthard by 40 POINTS (100 points today). Mika never did that. Enough man. Raikkonen was just the fastest in the world at this point.

    We are never going to see racing like this again. The lefty environmentalists have invaded F1 and put their ugly fingerprints all over it. "Green" in racing??? Gone are the screaming engines replace with lawn mower sounding power units. Set limits of fuel? Ers is kinda cool I guess. But what the hell. Build the fastest car possible and let them race their asses off
