    Great project, and an awesome way to spend time with your Dad too. My Daughter is 22 and has always enjoyed working on stuff with me. She is really handy with tools and art projects. Wish us luck as I am going to be a Grandpop in May/June of next year! How awesome is that.

      Thank you so much, Kenny! Keep on working with your daughter for as long as you can! Wishing you SO much love and luck! So excited for you, Grandpop!

    How does your click lock flooring look since installing it some time ago? Planning on the same, but would appreciate your experience. Thanks, Jeff

    So awesome of your dad to pitch in!! Floor of the shed looks great!! Can't wait to see the rest of it coming together!!
    Quick edit: A longer, more detailed video would be awesome;)

    Way too late now. But if you do anything like this again in future the joist hangers have little tabs on them so you can hammer them into the joist to hold them in place while you nail them. :)

      I think I’m still cooling off from the heat exhaustion we had following the build. 😂

    I love so much that you worked with your dad on this. I’ve built a lot of things but never really included my daughters. I regret that now. You’ve inspired me to find a way to build some things ‘with’ them and not just for them as in the past. Thanks so much for sharing your experience!

    Thank you for sharing! This is more than a practical idea as using a garage isn’t always the most practical considering most of us depend on our vehicles taking up space. Hope you go into details of adding electricity to your shop as that’d be the most complex part for me lol 😋

    • @diyhuntress
      @diyhuntress  5 лет назад +1

      So happy you like the series! I actually hired a licensed electrician to do all of the electric work for me, since I don't know anything about wiring up a shed from scratch. Figured I'd leave that one to the pros...

    Hi, just found this awesome video. I live on Long Island as well, so I’m familiar with the 12X12 sizing restrictions, but could you tell me how far you went from the property line of your neighbors.

    • @diyhuntress
      @diyhuntress  4 года назад +1

      I don’t remember off hand. But, whatever local ordinance was, we added a few feet (if that makes sense). So (total example here), if the ruling was to place the shed 2 feet away from the property line, we went three or four to be safe. You’ll just have to check your towns codes to be sure. Hope that helps!

And I am loving my bonus treasure which is a old shed in my backyard. I am turning it in to my workshop/photo studio. Your videos have inspire me to keep moving forward with my dream. Thank you. Soon I will be posting videos also.

      Cheers for the video content! Forgive me for butting in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you researched - Mahorrla Wooden Paradise Method (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a great exclusive guide for building better sheds and woodworking without the normal expense. Ive heard some great things about it and my work colleague after a lifetime of fighting got cool results with it.
