Repairs none? So it should be, definitely over priced though.
@@kjph7438 2018 was the last year for the Focus, so all the bugs were "ironed out". All I've done is maintenance, like engine oil & filter, transmission fluid (uses DCT fluid), and sparkplugs.
@@SamCarLegion even the run-of-the-mill 2023 Corolla does have a center armrest. I would instead go for the Integra Type-S... if there were a dealer that would sell it at MSRP, that is.
Toyota needs to cut out dealerships and go direct to consumer business model. BUT in the US I doubt that will happen cause of stupid laws. I love the GR Corolla but I'm afraid of the 3 Cylinders and how much less mod potential you have because of it.
They don’t want that
70k is a joke😂
For that price, I'm expecting a rear wheel drive Camry with 600 HP V8. And real blue flames that come out the exhaust tips. Hell, Cadillac has several options in this price range.
PLEAAAAAASE DO m340i vs stinger
A limited edition plate epoxied to the fake plastic leather means nothing.

I thought the driving experience was rather boring TBH. I had more fun driving the Kona N…
I can see that
I'm confused about these dealer markups, I was just at a dealer a few weeks ago and they had one for list price, $57k I think, I also bought an IS500 a few months and paid list for it. I've heard alot about these markups but I myself haven't seen them
57k in Canada? That’s probably core edition
@@SamCarLegion I'm honestly not sure but It was either grey or black, and if it was grey it would have had to be been the circuit edition. I know that same dealer had an IS500 launch edition a year or so ago and they were asking list for it.

@@jimmyvu6919 if you want to win the race go get 8 speed ZF transmission.

The vents on the hood are for dissipating heat. Lol

70000? insane
There was a dealer asking 100k for a CE anf 70 for core
@@Lairex_Rai a fool and his money are soon to be parted
You can get racing parts and build a car for these prices. Even the MSRP is a hoot. 😂 Better off buying or trading for a car with some mild rod knock and just go nuts with H rods and forged pistons. I hate to say eBay turbo but ... eBay turbo...
This is in Canadian dollars, not USD
@@nissanguy16 so? still insane
Yes this Corolla is overpriced, heavily overpriced! Focus: 2261 cc, Corolla 1618 cc, you get ~ 40% larger displacement, 13.5% more power, 19% more torque from the Focus. I know some people will boost the power of this GR but one must compare stock vs stock. T he GR and civic type R are a rip off.
Totally agree
Well Ford doesn't have a track record of building anything with problems 😂😂😂. I had a mazdaspeed 3, when Mazda was part of Ford. After 80, the engine when bye 😂😂. The engine block was Ford and other parts
@@ju4121 " with" or "without"? Should have been "without" as your sentence sounds illogical.
@@valentinorossi7771 yeah. Damn fingernails to big to type with 😁😁😁
@@ju4121 I bought my daughter a Ford Fiesta 1.6 dual clutch back in 2012 as her college car and boy it was a night mare. No more Ford! Let them go bust. Yes the Corolla would be more reliable than any Ford's product but at that price it is too expensive!
Sams new daily
I joke. Lol.
😬😬😬
I prefer my GR Yaris
Mine too, god bless Toyota for making such a bonkers little car
I got problem with it being a 3 cylinder! That is pathetic. They could've made a tubro charged version of the 2.4 in the Scion tC, then this car would have way potential.
So long as it puts out the power, who cares?

Not really! I would pick up a used Focus RS before this or even a Type R
I'm going to bet that Toyota won't futz up the first run of head gaskets like Ford did on the Focus RS.
That’s because the GRC isn’t as fast or powerful as the Focus RS 🤭🤭
It looks like a toy for an 18 year old. The price is ridiculous. The interior is plastic I’ll take a golf R any day.
The three cyl is and always was for the little Yaris. I don't know what is in store for the US market. How bout some blank slate cars. . . . . 😅

You could build something better from an old broken Toyota from a scrapyard. Actually this will get canned like another commenter said. I can't even find regular corollas anymore at the dealership. Maybe 4-5 camrys
You shouldn’t regret selling the Focus RS…it’s a ticking time-bomb that’s more trouble than it’s worth. 😝 The GR Corolla would be even better with the base Supra’s turbo 4, but save that for the aftermarket.😉
Post head gasket issue engines are really reliable up to 400hp. And higher, open deck will show weakness.
