This is our final video for 2021. We wish you a Merry UrbeXmas, and a great start to the New Year! Before we continue our France series, we want to share some other projects with you. But more on that soon!
I'm so glad I found your channel. You all do a wonderful job of presenting the material and I enjoyed this very much. Thank you and I hope you all have a wonderful holiday.
These are the saddest explores of all, to see glimmers of former beauty that is fading and tarnished with no hope. Still, they are intriguing! I loved the tree rings. I don't think I have ever made it to the center counting either. Another wonderful video from wonderful explorers!!🤗
@@OffendingTheOffendable Maybe with crowd funding....even an extension ...of the window channel....crowd funders from all over the world can make a kind of money to restore these places. And keep them .
Excellent cinematography again folks! I especially like that whole intro part of the Church in ruins segment with the panning through windows and the lighting on the stained glass etc., beautifully done, thanks for putting in the work and sharing these videos! They're definitely something I look forward to and have yet to be disappointed. Kudos.
Really enjoyed this episode - thanks for having a close eye on all the hidden details and perspectives of these structures. I really liked the shot at 6:29 - two layered window revealing the inside. Also very intuitive is the Dia-Show effect when showing the historic photos. Also great is the amount of work you put into the voice-over and history telling - thank you very much for that. Merry christmas and I wish you a lot of surprising explorations and always cooperative neighbors of the abandoned structures.
There is something beautiful in the architecture of this period…and in the way Nature inexorably takes it back. Those who designed and built this intended it to last, but nothing we make will last forever, and Nature will always find a way. It was sad to see such an ancient Mother Tree cut down and left to lay like that, but Her body will give life and shelter to other creatures as the years pass. I wish you all a good Yuletide filled with health and happiness, and a joyful Winter Solstice. Stay safe out there.🖤🇨🇦
It seems such a waste to see these buildings abandoned and forgotten! The cost to restore would be in the millions to get it back to its former glory, money to invest in this project and upkeep would be phenomenal and would need lots of investors to get this up and running again. Look forward to more abandoned sites for next year and have a safe and Merry Xmas!

You guys are amazing and I enjoy each and every one of your videos. Looking forward to what you will bring us in the New Year and have an awesome Christmas.
Wow this place is amazing. The decay is both sad and beautiful. The stained glass windows are so nice. I hope you have a great Christmas and new year. Thanks for all the great vids. Love and light to you all ❤
Wow, great locations, mind blowing photography, amazing videography, awesome writing, very good commentary and music, but most of all, incredible editing. This channel is by far the best urbex channel out there imo.
After watching six videos today, I went to Patreon and signed up for $5 a month U.S. This is some seriously high quality content, much respect. I wish it could be more but after 21 surgeries mostly on both feet and lower back, I cannot work. I am an American (not my fault btw) who has traveled extensively, Europe, Asia, Hawaii, Canary Islands, Caribbean, I lived in Brazil and Mongolia, plus I worked in film production in L.A., AND I am a fiction writer, those combined give me deep respect for what you guys (and girl) do. Bless you all.
Great story and beautiful photography, as always. Isn’t it amazing how the roof and walls of the chapel are mostly destroyed, but the stained glass windows endure? I see they are set in deep enclosures, and that must offer some protection. Such beautiful colors in the glass, Ss well as the colors and patterns of decaying walls. It was kinda scary hearing the creaks as Til explored the upper level. I wondered if this would be the video when we watch a wall or floor collapse. But no, so happy you guys always come out safely again. Phew! Merry Urbexmas and happy exploring in 2022.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year BWT crew! I want to sincerely thank you for blessing my year with your amazing content and I can’t wait to see what you create in the next year. (Btw this video came out on my birthday which was so amazing because I spent it more or less alone this year but I got a BWT video to celebrate! :)
There are many abandoned properties that contain asbestos, lead paint and other hazardous materials. Stay safe and thanks for a window into your urbex adventures.
Hey Anita, we grew up in Eastern Germany which used to be the GDR before we were born. Lots of houses were built super cheap with asbestos. We know the struggle.
Amazing, loved all you brought to us last year. I know we will love what you share with us in the coming year♥️ I wish you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a healthy and blessed NEW YEAR 👍😊🎅☃️🎁🌲🤶🎄🎅
Hi from Australia. The Mayor of the this village where this old school is, should be prosecuted. For allowing such a beautiful historic building and church to fall into such disrepair, and almost complete ruin. It’s a disgrace. I certainly hope French citizens see these important videos. Because you guys are actually documenting for historical purposes for the future, of what the French government and other countries are not spending money on. Well done!!!
Got my calendar today! I ❤️❤️❤️ it so much! Thank you for the beautiful images. They bring peace to my soul. PS- I was thinking during this video that you should sell back packs that are durable and have compartments for video and photography equipment and could include your logo stitched into the back. I would buy one as my current exploring backpack is getting threadbare and will need replaced once winter is over.
@@bwturbex Understandable! An online store brings it's own set of headaches and has the potential to tie you down. As you say, "Stay curious and keep exploring!" 👍
I love your videos.. The way it was filmed, edited and especially the story telling. Happily holidays to you gusy.. stat safe and keep up your good work in the new year/years to come!! Greetings form The Netherlands.
What an interesting place. Mother nature has reclaimed her though. I love the pictures of the decay! Thank you. I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a prosperous, healthy safe new year. Be happy dear ones from California💜🎄😎🤟🏻🇺🇸
Yes that picture of the stain glass before it was gotten worse I love it because the person who designed it was a very great artist and stuff like this is priceless as it is whole together instead of breaking apart this is why I think it is beautiful artwork in that time period and I can make a big painting of it on canvas if I had the money I could make it just as it was in stain glass
Such a weird contrast, seeing all the trash people left in that place, whilst the walls themselves are decorated with graffiti from people who wanted to express themselves in the most grandiose ways they can, yet in the most hidden of places.
My dad and grandfather are actually looking to see if they can buy it to restore it. To make it a hotel and museum. Yes they know there are gonna be many Costs but my whole family may want to put some mony in the project if they come up with a good plan 😄
Beautiful video. m I the only one who wondering how there are so many books ( which are good condition)? This place abandoned in 80s. All these papers survive for so long? How?
I think even if someone had a billion dollars, this property is beyond repair. Just for safety reasons, it cannot be fixed. It would take a total reconstruction by bulldozing everything and just starting again using the same plans or building lay-out. What I find sad though, is that someone should have removed the beautiful stained glass windows and preserved them somewhere or put them into a sculpture for the town...perhaps even a protected marker where the building used to be. That is easy enough to raise the funds for.
Hola!! Sigo a muchos exploradores del pasado como tú, me gustaría y lo agradecería que hubiera subtítulos en español. Aún así me gustan tus vídeos. Tienes una voz extraordinaria para narrar, sigue adelante mostrándonos el mundo del pasado.
Very beautiful countryside where this is located. If vandals did not destroy, it would take longer for mother nature to reclaim. I have never figured out what makes people do this to things that do not belong to them. Stay Safe and have a Happy and Relaxing Holidays. See you in 2022.
Maybe this is a stupid question.. but are you not worried about asbest? or things like that.. Since the buildings are already crumbling down.. I would think that there could be floating particles in the air, no?
At this point it would be much cheaper to tear down to the foundation and rebuild. If it's your money being used to restore the property then do as you like, but not with public funds.
