To some extent, this strategy is useless because they take an average of all the judges, and there's always one judge who's way off, so you have to put in some random crosses IMO ;-)

The thing to remember with spot the ball comps is that there really is no winning formula, it’s as good as pot luck.
I’ve been playing for years and got very very close multiple times.
Thing is you could be bang on but the photos are judged by where the ball actually is, they are judged by a panel of people using personal interpretation, which may still not necessarily be accurate.
Further more you’ve gotta think there’s probably tens of thousands of people playing and if 1000 people get it just right the prize has to be picked out of a hat so to speak from the multiple people who got it right.
I’ll always enjoy playing because you never know what’ll happen and if ever I win a beautiful car and 50k on top it’ll all be worth it but i take it with a pinch of salt and try to remember that it’s always going to be incredibly unlikely I’ll win even if I get really good at it.
If 1000 people got it right, those are really good odds lol. There's just no way. BOTB constantly state it's either bang on with the Judges selected target or the one closest to, and we are probably talking micrometres, so even if you were 2 or 3 from the target, and someone else is even 1 closer, they'll be the ones to get the win. These do seem like impossible odds, and chances are small, but hey I tend to look it like this - A small chance, is still a chance, you'll never know unless you play. (Of course responsibly, don't let it consume you). The more tickets you buy, the more chances you have.

I always try to find the original photo on line somewhere. No luck so far
that's cause they crop players from different games and stick them on... so it's not even a real scenario... then they make people guess where the ball should be

Picture are taken from lower league irish, Welsh games, I've been able to find the teams, but it's impossible to find the game, I go off the sponsor's and then the kit, but with those lower league team they play each other so much over a season. But the players are 100% absolutely not cropped out from other pictures, that's a ridiculous statement to make

The lifestyle comp in a ticket out of the hat job, the more tickets the more likely one of yours will be picked, car comp wise, there is no strategy, do as the "How to " says and hope the Judges play the game the same way. Anyone who has ever won the car comp either had a different strategy to each other or no strategy at all.
In 2018 I almost won the new m850i lol

That's a better way to win. Although I think it's fixed but you can render the image in a 3D Photo professional editing software like 3D arclight which is what they use for movies. You cam easily see how the image was edited and where the ball originally was. Just saying.

Not how it works. Winner is not vs where the ball actually is, but vs where the judges think it is

if the judges don't do the same it's pretty much useless. to win you have to think like them
He's about a quarter of a cm off to the left of the ball location if he is off, but the question I have is, what do they do if there are 10 or more crosses on the exact same spot, and they are all the closest to the actual ball location, who wins then, how do they decide a winner in that situation?.
BOTB chooses another spot with 1 person that's closest to the spot with 10 people. Then the spot with 10 people loses, none of them wins
Kamz, even though we carefully pinpoint where the players eyelines are focused on, unfortunately the judges don't! The judging in this game is so far off most weeks it makes you wonder what is wrong with them. New judges are required
The judges cycle every week,always new ones. I wonder what it's like being in the room when they all have to compromise on one single point
Using my engineering experience: the method works in a 3D model's case, but transforming the 3D model to a 2D one leads to a different position on the 2D diagram, they are two different models in different ways. Hence, many people thought they got it through this method but actually not.

Why would you take the cash alternative and buy a second hand version, that makes no sense at all because the cash alternative is only about 80%, of the cars value which is pretty much the same as what you get for the car after a years free driving of a new one and that’s including insurance etc. Please people, if you are fortunate enough to win always take the car, even if you intend selling it because it makes no sense not to!
Mate if as I u're not living in UK u won't go for an right driving car. I would go for the cash and buy a left handed here (France)
It can take up to 12 months to get your prized car, hence why so many people take the cash right away. Also the insurance and tax can be sky high for some of these cars. If you win cash and a car then it's probably a better shout to wait 12 months to receive and then sell it. There's a lot of fine print. Pretty sure it only takes so long to receive the car so more people take the cash alternative.
@onkouth Actually it depends where you live. I'm in France and I'd be subject to 10% import duty, 20% french VAT and their 'new car' eco tax.
So assuming I won' a 100k car which produces high C02, I'd be looking at €70K to register a car I won for free!
It's madness, but that's how it is here - so I'd take the money and by a second hand car, pay no import duty, no additional VAT and much less eco tax.
Again, this is just my personal situation, but it doesn't make sense to have to find 10s of thousands to profit from your new prize.
@@gratifi_ thanks for your input on this, I was looking at it from a purely British point of view and wasn't really taking this into account. But, yea everything should be looked at when winning this competition, it's still always a great thing to win and those questioning it's legitimacy, please don't, it's actually a very clever business model and for car guys, which the CEO is, it is good for us all.

I don’t know about other competitions buddy. But BOTB is going for over 20 years, so definitely doing something right.
On the other hand, if you play other competition and if they are genuine, then will definitely have more chances of winning that compare to BOTB.
