I’ve actually found parallels to Adam and Eve and the prodigal. Both were given authority in the house of their father. Both took something that the father wanted to give them (wisdom in the garden, inheritance to the prodigal). Both resulted in loosing their place in the house (theme of exile). Then both become like beast of the field (Adam and Eve become “erom” which is the word that describes the snake, and the prodigal eats the food of pigs). Each follow with an encounter with the father, Adam and Eve blame others but the prodigal confesses “I have sinned”. Then both stories are followed by a sibling rivalry. Of course I’m this story the authority lost is restored with that ring.
Wow!! As you said it was a parallel of a story from the Old Testament, I started thinking and guessed which one it was, but I did not see all those connections that you brought out. It’s so cool!!
It seems a refreshing message of redemption if you link it to Cain and Abel too. God blessed Abel when he returned from the field herding sheep, then his brother got mad and killed him. So if Esau welcomed his brother returning from tending to animals (or the future iteration still to unfold) it would reconcile the original sin that Cain committed, possibly un-cursing the ground so it will be bountiful again and freeing Cain’s lineage from exile. I could be wrong, but it seems like the Bible is a redemption story not just for Adam but for Cain as well. The sins of the father pass down 7 generations, so now we’re seeing the evolution of humans learning to acknowledge and atone for their mistakes and also forgive those who have hurt them, so that humanity can once again unite in purity and love and be worthy, and through the Sacrifice of Jesus, all we need now it to get everyone on the same page and be cleansed of sin, for the whole of humanity to be redeemed. Interestingly, there’s mention in the Bible where God refers to Himself as a lion to Israel and a young lion to Judah (Jesus reference) and that he will come, tear then go back to His place, UNTIL they acknowledge their wrong and accept him as God, so I think Israel/Judah admitting they were wrong and accepting Jesus/converting will be the catalyst that triggers Jesus to return. At least that’s what the scripture sounds like? Then I figure the reaction from the rest of the world to that will be what determines who falls with the antichrist and who ends up in the millennial kingdom, whether they act like a welcoming brother or one that tries to kill their brother like Cain did originally.
Regarding Jacob and Esau, I see Jacob's story arc, but I always wonder what made Esau change his mind and forgive his brother while he was away with Laban. Congratulations on your videos, I have seen them all and I find them very interesting. Greetings from Barcelona.
Hey, thanks for your comment! Glad you're enjoying the videos. Regarding Esau: There is only One who can truly make us change our minds and forgive others and that is God through the ministry of the Holy Spirit. I believe God moved Esau's heart in response to Jacob's prayer (Gen 32:10-13).
The Father of the prodigal Son - I haven't read anyone talking about how Parents give their kids things at the wrong time. Could both the Father and Son be experiencing self inflected judgment ?
Are the sons supposed to represent born-again Christians, where one becomes backslidden and ultimately repents and the other is trusting in works-salvation, or are both sons supposed to represent unbelievers?

Yeah, it's definitely fascinating!
This was really good! Hadn't seen that allusion. So good!
If you get a chance, check out Kenneth Bailey's book "Jacob and the Prodigal".
This is really cool!
WWWHAT?! mind blown, incredible and inspiring parallels!!

Golden!!!
Yeah, and I think there is still so much more to discover here. For more on this topic check out Bailey's book: amzn.to/3COuxar
Thank you thank you! Help me find more examples where God shows us to restore family relationships. My response is to run
The story of Joseph, for example.

😂😂😂you just love Jacob. But this is amazing
Thnk u...I thought I knew every angle of the parable 😮😅

Is it ok if I use a clip from this video in my sermon this week?
Sure! Blessings for your sermon!

There are some parallel with the history of Marc 5 too.
Could you elaborate on that a little bit more? What parallels do you see?
Why… it’s that he doesn’t actually make that tie directly. Even though there are similarities it doesn’t mean we read into it.
What about the two sons being son of God angels and sons of God man
Remember it?
I lived it.
Or, maybe Jesus was just a bad storyteller.
