I've wanted a GTR for 11 years also however if I were Spending my own money it would be on a New built to spec Porsche 911 Turbo S R version. I would take delivery in Germany take it around the Nurburgring cruise the autobahn and tour Europe with it before shipping it home & driving across the U.S. Would make for an awesome RUclips video.
If I could pay for an expensive car I would buy a c8 z06 mabey 3rd year run after they figure it all out work out kinks and refine the car. Also love that pandem body kit reminecent of f40 but newer
Great video bro... I purchased a 2017 premium for $71k with 9k miles on it. No issues and I've owned it 6 months now. My car wasn't perfect body wise looks like it's been in fender bender but i knew that when i purchased it. But i still have $35k available for upgrades so I'm cool with that. Also bought a 2019 amg so obviously could afford a new GTR but I'd rather have the money to upgrade
You should also consider the Tesla Model S Plaid. Its on pre order right now for 134, but its supposed to be insanely fast. No engine sounds, but also no engine problems either.
i never really liked GTRs but i just recently got into them. so cant wait to see it on this channel and the things you'll do to it. i have a few attainable dream cars. right now i have a type R and i will be getting a gt350 within the next 2-3 years or sooner. with a 400k annual income my dream car is for sure a manual 911 gt3. however with 400k and the way i am with money i'd could squeeze in a performante or gt2/3 RS lol.
@@Timbuckley01 yeah i have no kids but the CTR is super practical so i feel ya on that. Groceries no problem. I fit my 50" tv no problem. I even moved and used my CTR to store most of not all my clothes and accessories no problem. Hatch back is the closest thing ill have to a truck.
I like that you chose the GTR over the GT500. I’m anticipating the content when you find the right one. If I made 400k a year I’d have a three car garage consisting of the Kia stinger I daily now, a weekend GTR, and a fun half daily bmw supra 😂
People are already buying up the R34 for a premium and setting them aside until they are ready for import. By the time they are available for import it’ll be over 6 figures.
This is so interesting, my two cars of choice would be the GT-R and Mustand GT350 and the Civic Type R is why I follow this channel. Rarely do I see someone with such similar systems in cars. But to answer the question GTR would be my pick making $400k
I'm terribly pragmatic, my car choices would seem mundane but the interesting picks would be a 70 ss Chevelle for my wife (her dream car) and 1955 corvette v8 (my dream car)
Hey Man it’s your world and to each his own but I’m going to throw my last two cents at you. It’s cool and all having the latest and greatest performance wise but just a little food for thought...When you start considering the price range that you’re talking about...take a hard look at classic muscle cars or something along those lines that will hold their value much better in the long run. Just picture your childhood favorite automotive posters hanging on your bedroom wall and then picture them in your garage. If those posters were all GTRs?!....Then you go girl!!!...and Godspeed!!!😁👍
If I make 400k a year....I will get the top of the line Supra...and will only bring out between 5-10k as down payment...because cars depreciate in value once you bring it out of dealership....rest of my money goes to investment or stock to appreciate in value overtime. I buy vehicles that I can afford, if not then I walk away from the dealership and save more money so later on you can make a bigger down payment when your ready for it.
If I could have any car, I would buy either the '67 Eleanor or the '69 Fastback. Ever since I first saw one when I was like 6, I wanted to buy a Junker one and fix it up to be the best one of its kind. I have always found it to be the sexiest car I have ever seen and that'll probably never change. It has now been 13 years and that's still the car I want more than anything. It's my goal to be able to buy a Junker one and fix it up. Hopefully someday I'll be able to afford it.
Not so much in to the sports car game but I think I would buy the GTR and not to be the fastest in any way... just love the design of the car the looks and such... mild tune get it sounding perfect maybe some minor upgrades... but all in all rather have you civic type R just a more obtainable for me
I dont really think there's a high priced car I like enough to spend that kind of money on honestly. The cars I actually like all fall from 60k down to 3k and all would be in the used category since they don't make them anymore with the exception of the Civic Type R , that I'd get new and Im actually thinking about it more now though I'm torn between that or a Jeep Rubicon.
Forgot to mention if money was no problem the Mercedes GTR checks off a lot of the right boxes and word around the campfire is if we viewers had half of your money...we would burn all of ours!😂
I would get the Dodge viper. It is super rare now because they don’t make them anymore. I would get the color red with black and white racing stripes, a spoiler, modify wheels, a turbo, a body kit and exhaust system. Its my ultimate dream car. The exact same one I made in need for speed.
Without a doubt if money was not an issue I would buy an Audi R8 Star of Lucis. Special edition R8 that was put out in unison with Final Fantasy 15, which is one of my favorite games of all time.
My personal opinion would be the gtr but I would want an r35 and send it to ams congrats if you get that mustangs I feel like at overrated I’d take a zl1 over that for drive ability also I had a question were you still doing the course for RUclips I’ve watched a ton of your videos and it gave me inspiration to do this as well to spend time with my family also
Between the GTR and the gt500 I'd get the GTR, I know they are stupidity overrated and the fanboys are super toxic but I think it's exterior looks a little better but if it was between any cars I'd get a Camaro ZL1 that's my favorite car of all time.
$400k a year, 🤔 I change my mind like I change my socks, so, I would probably be buying a few cars a year. Number one on the list, would probably be a BMW M8. Which, I’m probably going to get, anyway. I loved my C7 for about 2 years. Then I stopped driving it. Got rid of that. My 2019 CTR only gets driven once a week. I’d probably own a McLaren 600LT, or a 720S. 2020 Bentley Continental GT. 911 992 GT3RS, I’m looking at 2019 GT3s, now, anyway.
I dream car would be a 1967 mustang but now in 2020 I’ll take a new gt mustang with a 6 speed Manuel any color could be pink and lime green I’d be give me the keys let’s go lol
I have always been a Porsche guy. I plan on having a '57 356 Wide Body built but with a turbo Subaru motor. But for your question, I would be looking at a Porsche 911 Turbo S. Another option would be a Ferrari Portofino M.
Hard decision As an import guy I love imports and high revving engines but also love american muscle Depending on needs and modifications, I hear the dodge hellcats are top tier after mods Out of the box the mustangs are best But I hate the dodge reliability So I would get a Mazda FD RX7 and fully build it and go 20b 3 rotor sequential twin turbo and beat all of the above.... or twin turbo Supra
Awesome video bro been following you since pretty much day one. Hopefully you get your GTR bro. My dream car is my 2019 GT 350 which I was able to accomplish last year as well as my 2019 CTR
Nismo 400R There is something about the R32/33s that has always done it for me. Call me old fashion, but Gran Tourismo and Initial D is what did that to me. Yup, video games and anime. Lol. One of these days, if my channel ever kicks off to the point where I can make the decision to make that purchase, I will. Unfortunately, that doesn’t look like it’ll happen anytime soon. Guess I’ll just have to keep trying the lottery. Good luck on your purchase. 👍
The amount of knowledge you have is amazing hope you get the gtr for what you want thanks for another awesome video and some great info on what to look for when buying a car thanks probly gonna save me in the future!
Nissan GTR also my dream car. I have a goal to own an American, Japanese, and German sports cars (Mustang, GTR, M2 comp or a 911) so far I have the Mustang GT. You can check it on my Instagram @Mr.Mustang5.0
I have both the 2017 Type R and 2019 GTR and both are amazing to own, drive and enjoy. Both offer a very different driving experience but the GTR is just a different animal and commands both respect and understanding of it’s potential that said, very little can match it in the road or track even at it’s model age. Like wine it gets better as it ages. Thank you for all the work with the Type R as I’ve watched your channel and learned a lot from it and good luck on your GTR. You will find that there are as much aftermarket upgrades you can add and enjoy for the GTR similar to what you have done for your Type R.
Hey Brother thanks for the heads up re fuel pump. Maybe since it’s September and the recall website said all affected vehicle owners would be notified by end of July...I guess my 2019 Type R is in the clear. My first two mods will be the Hondata Flashpro and their fuel system as well. I plan to keep stock exhaust as long as possible to avoid the 3am Honda stereotype. To answer your question re 400k salary/car choices I agree with some comments already made. The R34 is a beautiful and unique car. I’ve never been a big fan of pulling up to an intersection and seeing 3 more cars just like mine. Your choice for this generation of GTR is a solid one. All of the kinks have been ironed out and like you since 2009 I’ve always lusted after one. A GT500 is a phenomenal car but just wait until the hype as well as the price comes down. A screaming GT350R or the upcoming flat plane ZO6 would be on my wish list just because of their engine soundtracks alone...not the fastest but what an experience! The Acura NSX is a gorgeous car as well old or new. The last two cars I would recommend would be the upcoming Audi RS6 Wagon and the Acura Type S....AWD so they will both hook up in the wet or dry. That’s one thing the GT500 won’t ever be able to claim.
Dream car at $400k a year would be saving up for a few years to get a Koenigsegg Agera RS (One:1 is completely out of reach lmao 😭). In the mean time, while saving, it would be a modest C5 Z06, with full bolt ons and F1X procharger kit installed, and a Fast 102mm intake manifold and fuel injector kit. C7 ZR1 wheels and tires, Corsa exhaust system, big brake kit, and some tasteful carbon body panels, since the C5 quarters and all are bolt on instead of having to be cut and welded. Of course, being a gear head and mechanic, all the work done by me and as every gear head knows, it may start at just a modest build, but it never seems to be enough in the end 😂. Kind of like the content on your other channel 😉. Awesome series bro, can't wait to see how it ends up!
My heart if I could ever afford it would have to go to the gt3rs. IMO I think it’s the best “track capable” car on the market and truly gives you the most raw driving experience us enthusiasts love and still have the luxury of a high end sports car
If I made $400,000 a year i'd get an Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio and keep the change. Probably lots of faster cars for the money but I agree that it's not all about numbers it's an experience.
LC500 bro. Type R for daily driving and then LC500 for the EXPERIENCE !!
100% agree man...The new Turbo S is where it's at
can’t wait to see the typeR with the new color wrap!.
Me either man
I have 2 vehicles that I would love to have the first of which being an older Lincoln Continental 4 door and new would be a upper end Dodge Charger.
M5 competition! But I love me some GTR!!!
Thank god!!!! As a fk8 owner myself I really look forward to your videos! Keep them coming 👍👍
Thank you so much man! I really appreciate the kind words
I’d go for a 2020 NSX over anything under $200k
don't touch that used gtr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm assuming the new 400z isn't even on this ballot? Lol
If I could pay for an expensive car I would buy a c8 z06 mabey 3rd year run after they figure it all out work out kinks and refine the car. Also love that pandem body kit reminecent of f40 but newer
Checkout the Camero ZL1, 1LE package.
Great video. Can’t wait to see the wrapped R and the GT-R!
You and me both brother!
If the handling issue is like I think, it could have been negative caster problem.
And excellent video 👊🏼
Hi i would buy a porsche cayman gt4 😉
Nopeee
Hit me up if you have any questions. I’ve had mine since new in 2014. I’m on GTR life also as spdmn75
Will do brother, I appreciate ya man
You probably know this but I read they might discontinue the GTR models. So a new one might be the way to go.
Nissan just released a statement that the R36 is planned to arrive in 2023
TORQ Toolbox great news! Thanks

I looked at a GT350 before I bought my R, but I got kids... civic was more practical. GT350’s are sick tho.
@@Timbuckley01 yeah i have no kids but the CTR is super practical so i feel ya on that. Groceries no problem. I fit my 50" tv no problem. I even moved and used my CTR to store most of not all my clothes and accessories no problem.

Heck yeah man, same here I like the new supras
I would get an R34 in 2024 when they are legal to import. A corolla might be faster but like you it's about the experience.
I totally agree man...that's the dream right there
People are already buying up the R34 for a premium and setting them aside until they are ready for import. By the time they are available for import it’ll be over 6 figures.
My dream car is actually a 6speed Challenger Hellcat Redeye. Followed by the 6speed 2014 Mustang Shelby GT500.
This is so interesting, my two cars of choice would be the GT-R and Mustand GT350 and the Civic Type R is why I follow this channel. Rarely do I see someone with such similar systems in cars. But to answer the question GTR would be my pick making $400k

400k a year easy for me it would be a Mustang GT350R or a Porsche GT3 Manual. But that's just me.

Your videos are awesome man. Type R is what I’ve always wanted. GTR doesn’t do it for me personally.
now i got my Honda type R fk2 but my dream is the old and new nsx

I love the n 992 Turbo S
I'll buy a nsx first then gtr next on my list.
Hard decision
As an import guy I love imports and high revving engines but also love american muscle
Depending on needs and modifications, I hear the dodge hellcats are top tier after mods
Out of the box the mustangs are best
But I hate the dodge reliability
So I would get a Mazda FD RX7 and fully build it and go 20b 3 rotor sequential twin turbo and beat all of the above.... or twin turbo Supra

Definitely a good choice on a 2019 GT350, the 2017 and 2018's were blowing motors left and right
6:00 GTR vs GT500 comparison
If I could I would buy the old or new NSX.
Nismo 400R

IF Toyota comes with GR Corolla (manual, awd, lightweight -ish) I might thinking about selling my Type R for that experience.
GTR 💯% go 4 💎

I would buy my 2 dream cars along with keeping my type R. Id buy a R34 vspec GTR and and an Azure aqua 64 impala. Cheers 🥂👍😎
If I made 400 a year I’d have a new NSX for sure. Saw a lucky guy take delivery of an orange one when we bought our MDX, love at first sight.
GTR
Id love to get the GTR much like you, for the experiance. More thanthat they are more comfortable than something else.
any amount of money id still want a fully refreshed R32 GTR
Hey bro why don't you do a video on how to break in the Type R .. great content 👌
Can’t wait to see you get your dream car..
If I made $400,000 a year i'd get an Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio and keep the change. Probably lots of faster cars for the money but I agree that it's not all about numbers it's an experience.
I've heard great things about them
Great video man, you got a sub!
Gtr and type r is my favorite cars
PRL is in R&D for their own fuel upgrade
Badass man! I didn't know that
Maybe the dealership thinking that you don’t know about cars. They lied to you. I don’t trust them anymore.
agreed
how about supra????
Dodge Viper GTS
You make enough money on RUclips to be able to buy a 100k car??
Not from this channel but I do from my other channel
@@TORQToolbox Congratulations!!!!
Hellcat. Red eye. That's what I am going to get if I have that big salary. Currently have a type R too
Buy NEW!
Godzilla!
