You made my gratitude list tonight! Listened to this just as I did my gratitude practice & so I said, "I'm grateful for Andy LaCivita & all the great info I'm learning frim his videos!" Wish I'd found you months ago, at least, years ago would have been even better. Thanks for this wonderful video & being the fantastic resource that you are!!
I stumbled across your videos by simply searching 'interviewing for mid senior level positions' and found you. I spent several hours going through several videos and I am hooked! I can not afford your job search workshop but boy I wish I could! I am a accounting professional who helps companies optimize their AP/AR/Billing processes while providing on time deliverables to evaluate potential gains and loses to ensure quarterly reporting reflects profitable financials. I look forward to learning more from you! I recently got laid off this past week after a 6 year relationship with my prior employer. I can't wait to put these suggestions into action and land my next money maker!!
Great video. A Job came up recently that I was interested in. I'm aligned to the JD and experience very well. However I talked myself out applying as Logistically the position was much further to travel to than I thought which meant albeit promotion meant double my time travelling and very expensive to get there compared to my current role
But I don't understand, what about if I want to use some of the keywords to be get an interview, but I have no experience on that? It doesn't make sense
So... a manager friend of mine literally just called me to tell me that they just got laid off from their sales manager position at a big tech company. They landed that position in the first place because they are amazing leader in the industry and deserved it. Even before they told me, I have been seeing so many people talk about layoffs in tech right now. It got me wondering, is this just how it is in tech at the moment? Also, it seems like it is many remote positions that are being hit first. Forgive me if this is off-topic, but I was literally getting ready to check out your video (subscriber here!) when my friend called me. I would usually try to message directly, but YT doesn't have that feature a far as I know.
I received a verbal job offer recently, and after submitting my references, the employer requested another meeting to discuss additional questions related to certain content. I suspect there might be some negative feedback. How should I navigate this meeting? Any advice would be really helpful. I’m just gutted as I wasn’t expecting any negative feedback any help would be really appreciated.
I wouldn’t worry. And there’s no way for me to tell you what to do when we don’t know the purpose of getting together again. Why not ask the employer the reason for additional meetings!?
@@andylacivita Hi Andy, thanks for replying. I did ask they just said they had some follow up questions regarding g some of the content. I have written to my referee and have not had a response. The organisation was not very supportive, which was the reason why I resigned. I had to use them as they were my last employers. I guess I should still remain positive about them and not speak badly about the experience? Be honest but positive?

They’re difficult to tell. Don’t worry about it.
