Today we take apart the BRIX Gaming UHD to show users how to install memory and storage into the device. This tutorial will prepare users for M.2, 2.5" SSD/HDD, DDR4 SoDIMM installation.
With its debut at Computex 2016, the GIGABYTE BRIX Gaming UHD is one of the most sought after mini PC solutions out in the market today. GIGABYTE has incorporated the innovation of Intel's Core processors as well as a discrete Nvidia GTX 950 all in a tiny form factor.

Very nice. Reminds me of older times, when everything was over engineered for easy user serviceability.
Some of those old Compaq machines were built like tanks, with extra screws and rails built right into the frame for easy access. They even had flip up devices and bays built on hinges too.
Thanks, Great and very clear. how to install Windows for this PC?
I made a prototype of something similar in 3D few years back. The prototype is much simpler to assemble and removed. Almost no wiring in it.
hi great video, how i can do raid on 2 m2( i put m2 500 blue wd ) and didnt work
hi, i can know the name of this mini pc with fan behind. Where can I buy it?
Hello, I can't seem to find a review for a Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD3 Ultra motherboard, the UD5 is not a full ATX. I think this mobo is not a very popular? Thanks
Het begint er goed uit tezien eindelijk een klein kastje
I would buy it instantly if there was any bigger graphic card inside. With a gtx 950 I cant play on high details unfortunately. Nevertheless this is a very sexy cube :)
do you have to buy memory and the hd separatly?
hello where can I buy the intel screwdriver? where I look where I buy it? Thank you
When and where can I buy this in Canada???
Will you be doing a 1050 upgrade part at some point?
Very possible :)
Oh please let it be a 1060
you can't consider any Nvidia x(y)50er card worth for gaming...
Just a personal opinion
That's just the category of cards I never consider to replace an already existing one
I don't dislike the x50s in general
but since they are basicly almost the smallest cards out there and the weakest if you don't consider OEM cards, they barely benefit from any transistor shrink - the 950 has about a similar poerformance as the 3yr old AMD R9 270X
Yeah but the performance of an 270X represents the absolute minimum for a gaming rig for me
if you use a 2.5 HD and if intern temp in game is = 80 ° C your HDD is dead max temp for HDD : 50 °
The cooling solution looks really effective and this thing use only a bit more than 100 Watts under full load so it will be never 80°
Isn't your memory module facing the airflow it will cause interference wit the airflow
pls do full benchmark beacuse the price pretty sucks for i7 hq and gtx 950 we need 4gb of gpu
Is it possible that you raid the two M.2 SSDs instead of raiding one M.2 SSD with other SATA drives?
Unfortunately no because one of the M.2 Slots comes from the CPU directly so it doesn't support the RAID functionality.
That makes sense. Thanks for your answer.
WTF MANE, when this is going on sale? i cant find it anywhre
Wouldn't these brix units be great if they had a battery backup built in like a laptop
Good design.. i like it. my current brix pro makes noise while cooling, it seems better design and cooling
Q1 : Does it supports 4 display of 4K@60hz?
Q2 : does it comes with water cooling? (or any future version)
q3 : Can i customize CPU?.. like there be a version with more powerful embaded cpu like CPU i7-5775R(one of brix pro) with built in GPU, so that CPU hungry person like me can use built in GFX, so initially we may not spend on GPU and add that module later on.
q4: What is the max sound of fan in high load?
q5 : what is the max temparature in 100% CPU usages over 1 hour straight.
I will wait for answer, I am very satisfied with current 4770r, your answers will motivate me to buy this.
how many pins does the ram sticks have?
Standard DDR4 SO-DIMM, so 260 Pins
GIGABYTE Motherboards ok
looooove it ......could be even slightly bigger to maximise cooling ..........powerful desktops really need to be shrinked ....it's not freaking 1990 for crying out loud
GTX950 is not much faster than the GTX760 I use with my GB-BXi7G3-760 (rev. 1.0), Used it now for a few years and looking for a more powerful 'brix'. Strange that graphic power not increased much at all...
video card upgradeable?
no
OK. who's the idiot over at GIGABYTE that thought putting the power button next to the rear I/O was a good idea. Please move power button to the Front/Top of the device.
it doesn't matter because it's a tiny box .....u don't have to stick your arm behind a huge pc under a desk ......also wiring it to the opposite side is probably an unnecessary complication of the production line and it will just get in the way when u open it
I don't mind. I rarely use the power button. It is mostly sleep/wake using the keyboard. I prefer the clear front.
Why is this case so bland and unoriginal ? ( the engineering in it is pretty nice tho. ) You guys made really nice case designs when you made the red and green Brix gaming (Amd / Nvidia ) The only thing that was a problem back then was thermals (especially these faulty AMD units guises... seriously you shoot yourself in the foot with the thermals on these.) , i hope you come back with these designs with kaby lake, a gtx 1050 or even 1060 thermals should bring very efficient gaming solutions in that previous form factor.
