The fact Georgie took care of his mom and siblings while having a kid on his own to look after to says what kind of person he is. I’m glad now he is a successful businessman.
As horrible as this is to say. Realistic anything can happen before the baby is born. Young Sheldon have cover miscarriages before.

@@haylongwang3002here’s a little confusion in continuity. Previously in big bang theory it was that that Georgie never had any children. Then young Sheldon came along and screwed that

It's nice that we have 'Young Sheldon' because we get to see the Coopers' lives before George Sr. died. It makes this scene so much more heartfelt since we have a background of Georgie's side.
kittyquiqui Especially since Georgie’s childhood effectively ended when his father died...
Are we gonna see how he dies in Young Sheldon?
@@power6847 probably a heart attack. Although, that may have been mentioned in an episode.
Ikr
@@power6847 Very likely, but for now we will still see him.
George truly became the man his father wanted him to become while being mocked and labelled as an utter disappointment by him and everyone else in Young Sheldon. Now THAT is a real man.
He's not mocked and labelled as a disappointment. His parents get annoyed with him sometimes, because like most teenage boys, he's lazy, he's selfish and he isn't very bright at school...Mary worries about him getting into trouble with girls, or hanging out and gambling with Meemaw..but they dont see him as a disappointment.. any more than any parents do..
This is one of my least favorite scene in the entire series. I hated it! Georgie bullied Sheldon, who clearly has issues, be it OCD, sensory integration disorder or whatever. And Georgie plays the victim because when George Sr. died, he, who was a grown adult by then, had to put his big boy pants on and help his family. Pathetic! Shame on Mary for saying should wouldn't go to Sheldon's wedding unless he got his bully brother, who Mary herself called "dumb as soup" and complained was dating a wh0re, to come to the wedding that was tangible evidence of Sheldon's growth and should've been celebrated with people he wanted around him, not his bully. Though it's not in Sheldon's character to truly stand up to his mom if it's not science based, Sheldon should've said, "If you want to miss the biggest day of my life, fine, stay in Texas... And when we have grandchildren, you can stay home for that too. This is mine and Amy's wedding, not yours, and if you do love me enough to respect that, you don't need to be there. The choice is yours. Choose wisely... I never forget!"

“He said never patch....Do you even listen?”
God damnit Leonard!
This is a case where Leonard is smarter than Sheldon. He noticed Georgie's sly salesman smile.
Honestly, I know it's a throw away punchline, but i think this can be overanalyzed to being a subtly sweet moment. Sheldon is generally the smartest person in the room. If you have doubts about that he'll assure you that he is. He does know that he's not knowledgeable about everything, though. He knows nothing about tires. He knows his brother is an expert on tires. If Georgie says "buy new," then by god Sheldon's gonna buy new. He may not have a lot of respect for his brother's chosen field of expertise, but he does respect his brother's knowledge in it.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@mightyzekken the only one‘s expertise he is never gonna accept is Howards😂😂😂
That's exactly how little Georgie would look like when he grew up.

Jason Lang ikr
res1416 to run a successful business you kinda have to tone it down a bit so other people can understand you perfectly in my opinion, so I think he toned down his accent as he got more success and it just stuck.
This scene is really good. Sheldon's brother George made so much sacrifice for sheldon and his family. And yet he still have enough to make a businnes out of everything he went through. The point of this is sheldon always misses the sacrifice of everyone around him. Especially leonard.
suddenly...I feel bad for Amy....yeah, I know he loves her...but...he is Sheldon.....he fails to understand a lot about humans and emotions....and when you're in a committed relationship things like that matter the most
That is the case of most on the spectrum. Sheldon misses social queues, so it makes sense for him to not notice the sacrifices of others until it is explained to him. I'm glad they didn't go OOC with Sheldon. It's comforting and the representation is important.
Georgie*
willtynellyworth actually he's not supposed to be autistic and we don't like to be associated with his type.
I think Mary Cooper is a little unfair to his other two children is like she favoured Sheldon and it's not right a mother loves her children the same
"I know life has been hard for you; doesn't mean it hasn't been easy for everyone else." I love that line, and I wish more people realize that. Just because other people didn't have it as rough as you, doesn't mean it didn't have its hardships.
Sheldon had a hard life? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@the-ironclad He has in a lot of ways. Although he doesn't have autism, he does have a lot of symptoms like autism and OCPD. It's definitely been challenging for him to communicate and understand people which has ruined a lot of things for him.
@@the-ironcladyes he has and that’s exactly the point the op was making from your perspective maybe he didn’t have a hard life but I think he did not in the conventional sense but he suffered because so many things that seem so easy to most people are incredibly difficult to overcome for someone like him. Say has a double nature: show and create. If someone says you 'say that you love me', correctly you can answer 'that you love me' because that say functions for show what is said. Finally, everything depends on how we pronounce words, that is the nature of enunciation.
The way George jr's been described in past episodes, I expected him to be like Penny's brother. But anybody who manages to support his family after his father dies and build a successful business from the ground up is a far cry from the 'mouth breathing idiot' that Sheldon reffered to. If I had a brother like Georgie I'de admire him, even if I had Sheldon's academic accomplishments.

The way Georgie says “well that’s alright, I know you didn’t” with a smile on his face got me feelin stuff. He’s still the bigger and more understanding brother! Immediately defused the argument and turned it into a heartfelt scene for Sheldon. A great scene in the show this one
It would've been an even bigger character building moment if Sheldon would've said, "I should've... I'm sorry." But his character is at that point yet, even with his big bro. Baby steps.
1:43 "I suppose I didn't think how it was for everyone else". That is amazing character development. Imagine him saying that in season 1,impossible.

What about That scene where Howard's mother dies? I feel like they were all connected in that episode. Sure in a sad way but very emotional. Or when Leonard kind of broke Beverly by forgiving her even tho she ABSOLUTELY doesn't deserve it and she finally showed some love for him? Also a beautiful scene!
The best scenes is all the scenes Georgie is in TBBT

Who’s here after watching Young Sheldon 7x12😢.
I havent watched it yet, not sure im ready to watch it but i know what happens and knew the episode would come
right here! I had to because this paints a clearer picture now
I always said people shouldn't trust Sheldon's recollection of how things were growing up.
Crescentknight8189 Sheldon apparently wasn’t aware of the real reason Georgie threw away the Halloween costume. Protecting his little brother from getting beat up. Sheldon left out what scientist he was going to dress up as.
Darcy Brummett that's what I mean. Sheldon tends to exaggerate things to make himself seem more grandiose and suffering under the yoke of his simple family, but what it looks like on Little Sheldon, that wasn't the case
Crescentknight8189 Another possibility is because of the different way of thinking(at least I think) is not reading or percepting it the same due to cut back of certain portions and acceleration in other's. The way Sheldon would react would also be different from the normal person simply even based on this so his experience isn't perse distorted(possibly is distorted everyone is different after all) I would think but like a different lense entirely that's another possibility. So to him it would be accurate for recollection to another it could technically be called distorted yes to the regularily "normal" functioning brain.
@@Crescentknight8189 He thinks differently from every one else what did you expect
Young Sheldon has a case of the unreliable narrator, it seems.
George was taking care of his mom, sister and a baby all at the same time.
And the boy genius was too dumb to appreciate it.
"I wouldn't miss it." The fact that this was George Sr.'s final words to his family before he died makes this hit SO much harder.
Who's here after the series finale of Young Sheldon?
What I love about Georgie is that all Sheldon's quirks don't faze him and actually what does faze him is when he's acting like a compassionate human being. He's also not being critical of the way Sheldon is in this scene, he realises his brother is different and he doesn't judge him for it, he just gets exasperated by it sometimes. Something I think was good to introduce into the series, people who understood Sheldon and the way he was and that an apology was actually a big deal for him.
I love that tap Sheldon does on georgie’s hand. It both shows Sheldon is still socially awkward yet also shows that he finally felt a positive connection with his brother. And Georgie is like “that’s weird, but I’ll allow it. That had good meaning behind it”
After all these years of people calling Sheldon crazy or insane. Finally, someone calls him an idiot.
Thx to young sheldon, without it this scene wouldnt be that great
I never watched young Sheldon. Still love that scene tho
Barracuda id say if you’ve watched young Sheldon this hits harder than it does, especially how they were to each other when kids and how Georgie went from being kinda lazy to having to support his family emotionally and financially
Watching Young Sheldon after this episode, I have a bigger appreciation for Georgie. He stepped up further when he became a father. And when he said to George at the funeral before the casket closed, "You don't have to worry. I got everything under control. I won't let you down, Dad." Georgie is the Cooper family's silent hero.
Georgie always made sacrifices 💕
Cray May But then you can't blame Sheldon for something that he didn't realise that was happening and doesn't actually have the capability especially at the age he was when his dad died to understand and be helpful in the situation
So does Leonard and especially Amy.

The accent though, it should be heavier.
TOMMY KELVIN GOMEZ JIMENEZ u do realize that not everyone can understand a Texas accent..right?? He wouldn’t be making a lot of money if people couldn’t understand what he’s saying..hence the reason why he toned the accent down, and besides he grew up, and sometimes even accents can fade away.

@@Naeinsengimnida I agree - it wasn't going to be a recurring role, and yet they went out and found an actor who could actually verbalize a lifetime of sacrifice and caring for Sheldon in a way that would make it believable for Sheldon to apologize. I like how Sheldon is even arrogant about his own brothers knowledge of tires at the end. “The Cooper said never patch Leonard!”
Sheldon’s recollection of most of his past should be taken with a grain of salt. He always believed himself superior to his family members. He was definitely the favorite. He got the computer he always wanted. Georgie was mean and nice to him like all big brothers. Lol Missy was definitely important to him, he left to be there during her pregnancy. His mom calls her kids dumb as soup, but really only compared to Sheldon.
Well when you really think about it Sheldon is only academically intelligent, he's basically stupid in everything else. His siblings might not have had the same academic prowess but they sure are a lot smarter than Sheldon thinks.
The only thing he didn't exaggerate his sister when they were kids

I feel like Georgie taking care of his family after their dad’s death is what leads to his and Mandy’s divorce. He’s stretched to thin and Mandy is also stressing with CeeCee and missing her husband, they will bottle it up tho bc neither wants to talk about and they think it’s for the best until it breeds resentment and all blows up in their face

I really liked what georgie said, life is hard for you, but isnt mean is easy for rest of us
I wish we had more moments like this with older sheldon and Georgie
This episode sure does show he really loves his brother. And it also ties well with the younger Georgie and Sheldon. I hope they show when their father died in the new series. Jim Parsons also lost his own father when he was young.
In Sheldon’s defense, they actively hid the struggles from him. Especially for someone like Sheldon who doesn’t do well with social cues, it seems a bit unfair to get mad at him for not knowing.
Blame Mary for that. Missy and Georgie and George didn't coddle him like Mary. Considering sheldon is an adult now, the responsibility for his own actions lies on him. I would understand not picking things up when you are a kid but as an adult that excuse doesn't stick. He has friends, girlfriend and you are telling me he couldn't figure out that losing her husband would be rough for Mary Missy and Georgie? Also taking first step to patch things up with Georgie doesn't require social skill. That just requires love and no ego.
The real villain of Young Sheldon is... well, himself.
There’s a strong argument to be made that it’s Mary. Remember, Mary called Georgie and Missy dumb when she talked about them in TBBT, she let Georgie step up and essentially have to lead both families after George died, and her descent deeper into her religious convictions became bad enough that she actively ignored her children’s feelings, like emotionally blackmailing Sheldon and Missy into a baptism, or years later how she forced Mark to change his wedding officiant speech to include religion, despite how Sheldon had been actively against that. Sheldon likely would have always had severe social difficulties, but the way she always coddled him and largely left Georgie and Missy to George (who was also regularly called in to help with Sheldon) really didn’t help.
This hits hard after the Young Sheldon Finale
Georgie kept his promise to George sr by taking care of his mom and sister and keeping Sheldon in the dark about all the chaos.
This is one of my top 3 favorite wholesome scenes cause it touches your heart and makes you laugh at the same time

Literally me and my brother had a reconciliation like this a couple years ago. It felt good to finally clear the air and just let go of all our grievances. My brother wasn't as far on the spectrum as me, but he never let me think my disability was a disability. He just told me, like my dad, that I just see the world differently.
