Some interesting and well-framed images. Going back to the 1980s working for Amtrak out of DC, my first thought is that Amtrak has gotten a lot more boring since I left in 1999. I'm sure it's a lot more reliable in terms of equipment, but more boring. Mostly Siemans' City Sprinters and Acela; Amfleets and Viewliners. I'm glad I got to see the heyday of the Heritage fleet, AEM7s and E60s, and was always sorry I missed the end of the GG1s by a few years. Of course every generation of fans wishes they were around for earlier stuff. I really wish I had seen steam in regular service, but I'm glad I lived through what came to be known as "Steam's second revival" from the late '70s to the mid '90s.
It’s about to get diverse as soon as the Avelia Liberties and Airos enter service. There will be periods of time for both Acela and NE Regional where there is a mix of old and new, because replacement processes generally take a couple of years
Greetings from bavaria germany, its a really nice and excellent video to see the fast trains in the us. as a ice operator here i am really exited to make a trip with an acela train during a vacation and hope to talk to an operator there thank you and have a good time
Sure, the trains are speedy. But even in the northeast corridor, they can only go this fast until they run into a freight train, it's not too hot outside, and the track permits. The reality of Amtrak "high speed" is you're going 40 for most of it, but depending on the day, you're stopping and starting cause the Class 1 freight railroads like CSX and Norfolk-Southern, simply don't care about the fines for delaying Amtrak passenger service, and will put a 600 car coal train on the main line
Nice video, but... fast trains seem so slow! Yes, I'm French. (I'm not bashing, and we have many problems on our network, especially freight transport is underdeveloped, TGV took all the fundings... (plus the lobbying of road transportation...).
Looks like it was all taken no further south than Wilmington, DE, skipped the Philadelphia and New York areas, as well as MetroNorth to New Haven; resuming along the shoreline towards Providence and Boston, but not in Boston.
6:28. Listen I get its a French train, its going to have a French horn on it, but I can't support the horn on the new acelas. It's just too high pitched for me, lacking soul. Man I would kill to hear one of the new acleas with a K5LA.
"Acela trains are the fastest in the Americas, reaching 150 miles per hour (240 km/h) qualifying as "high-speed rail"... ... but only over 49.9 miles (80.3 km) of the 457-mile (735 km) route ..." That's hilarious. One of America's greatest failures. Go to France to see real high-speed trains.
its america, what do you expect? passenger railways on there have no chance to becoming a good public transportation without getting beaten to death by the car industries

5:03 that's gotta be the jazziest chord I've ever heard hahahah
He never fails to come out with great videos!

5:02 was honking in the back engine
Also the Wipers were on
Nice video! I just caught Amtrak 67 today which had 2 ACS64s numbered 637, and 653!
اجلس 😊
interesting and creative ideas of filming you have! Good catches!
5:02
Driver did gods work there!
Great Video !!! Best wishes from a german Amtrak NEC fan
Thank You!
Super fast AMTRAK trains and nice k5la on ACS 64 and Acela express great video ❤❤❤❤🚂

Thanks!!
awesome video man 🙌🔥
Thanks 🔥
Awesome!!
High speed Amtraks and high speed Amtrak Acelas galore!
Nice video thank you 🙂
its so good that Amtrak US now has speedy trains
The Northeast Corridor's always had fast trains. It's everywhere else in the US that doesn't.
@@happyburger23actually in the midwest we get up to 110, which is the most high speed route on amtrak other than the nec.

5:03 Nice buckhorn!!!!
NICE VIDEO
Thank you Amtrak for the high speed trains
ACELA EXPRESS (Made in FRANCE. / ALSTHOM.) 😊
4:11 Why is there a GE Genisis on there?
Equipment move
excellent!
Great compilation!! Is that an AEM-7 on the left at 21:00 ??
It seems to be an AEM-7
It is an old AEM7 getting scrapped!
great shot at 12:54
Greetings from Romania. I am a train operator here. Are the horns added on the video?? In Germany for instance most of train drivers never honk.
I am an engineer at Amtrak! No horns were added!
@@TrainBrain2000 Cool. More videos are welcome ;)
凄い早いね〜。日本在来線の電車は130km/h最速で、殆どが100km/hで走るからね。こんな早いの見ると圧倒されるね。
Those AMFLEET 1s are OLD. Wonder how long they can keep them together running at those speeds.
The avelia libertys were the best
Yeah 22:30
❤️

Where on the NEC were these taken?

ACS64 regionals were the best to
Where are my appearances
It'll be a shame when the Acelas are finally replaced by those ugly Liberty things or whatever they're called
The Avelia Liberty is not ugly!
21:40 looked like the catenary was smoking
Probably just dew.
vivat electric trains‼🚃
Europe & Japan laugh at what we call “high speed.” 😅
"Acela trains are the fastest in the Americas, reaching 150 miles per hour (240 km/h) qualifying as "high-speed rail"...

That's hilarious.
One of America's greatest failures.
Go to France to see real high-speed trains.
👍YES...FRANCE Number one.🚅👍
The Europeans and Japanese are faster
only on dedicated high-speed corridors ...
Not exactly high speed. Should invest in proper railways
its america, what do you expect? passenger railways on there have no chance to becoming a good public transportation without getting beaten to death by the car industries
still some reasonable speed tho, despite obviously not being high speed.
