Oh. The fabled Vanara quest of Sumeru.. I was warned it was a long quest. I had no idea it would be THAT long. I think I worked through it over 2-3 weeks. Slowly over the course of the quest I realized more and more how deep I was getting.
The circles you just ran into are Sakura Bloom. If you have an electro character like Cyno, you can pick them up. Sakura Bloom are ascension materials for Kamisato Ayato and his sister Kamisato Ayaka
Well about the voice acting/ dubbing, it doesn't exist in world quest (such as the "love letter" quest, that is a world quest), so for the world quest, the dialogue is just in textual form. You can see in the quest list, which quest is archon quest (the main quest), story quest, and world quest

Some of them are also crucial for understanding Genshin lore. It’s a pity they are not voiced…streamers avoid doing those quests live for that reason and fewer players get to enjoy that part of the game

I can definitely say that I love Thoma's shield. Inazuma is a beautiful place indeed and also dangerous lol The music is each region is just amazing how each differ from each other. The view of that mountain is just wow! I agree, all the amazing sights in this game. The lady at the tea house was so snooty. I didn't like her lol Thoma is so adorable! One of the best Genshin Quests "Golden Slumber and its part 2" Unfortunately, it's not voice acted like most of the world quests :( but understandable they don't have the time for it and would distract people from the main quest and might be mistaking it as a main quest 👀
Be sure to unlock the statue on Narukami. You met one of my favorite characters, well, you heard her, but you met Ayaka and yes, everything in Inazuma tries to kill you, even the environment in certain areas
I remember getting shoved with a pillar of side quests with npcs form the archon quest involved and I couldn't get out of Ritou to do those couldn't start the archon quest and leave Ritou before doing the side quests I thought that my journey ends then and there........ Took a whole week to go back and serialize the bunch of quests Didn't quit genshin still yeah👀
Fun fact, Taroumaru in Japanese means goodest boy! Actually it means something more akin to precious eldest son. Tarou means eldest son and Maru means something precious. Huh, it does actually mean goodest boy.
We had some corroborating evidence about the nature of Visions: Yanfei once used her appraisal power to try to determine the value of her own Vision. Her conclusion was that no amount of money would be a fair price for one... but an object requiring a single person's lifetime of dedicated effort to produce might be. It's surprising how often that romance ends up dancing around the edges of the story, despite its not being ever all-important. Worth noting is that Kamaji is technically a distant superior to many of the people preventing you from leaving Ritou, and shows absolutely no prejudice against outsiders. (Neither did Chisato's father, though he could have been hiding it..) In retrospect, it's also interesting that Thoma is being careful to separate his actual observations and supposition, even to the extent of not actually answering your question. There's an off chance something else is going on with the Traveler's mood: Inazuma has an environmental problem there that you won't see in Monstadt or Liyue. In any event, this will pass, and it'll be a good experience for later on when the fact that the siblings are both quite intelligent and have a great deal of history prior to Teyvat becomes a touch more apparent. (They do get voiced internal thoughts, and not everybody was ready for that given how easy it is to just swap the Traveler out of your party and never look at the voice line databanks.) We have never received alternate outfits for the Travelers and I doubt we would before the main story concludes. (Really hoping for NG+ stuff.) At least there are references suggesting both Aether and Lumine have changed into other clothes off-camera; for example, for reasons that wouldn't be clear at your point in the story Lumine has supposedly modeled for photos in an Inazuman shrine maiden outfit. And it's plausible they want their descriptions to spread in as clear a way as possible.

@12:52- I don't know if you'll discover this on your own or not but . . . those violet floating particles you walked through- use Electro on them, you'll get something. I learned that on my own too.

Something similar happens in Fontaine, only you use Hydro, but I won't mention it until you get there since you might forget since it's one small detail. Actually in Sumeru there's a plant that only reacts to Dendro too. So even if there are chars you never level up, it's good to have them for element application or puzzles or minor things.

Yeah world quests usually aren't voiced, and some of them are very long and lore heavy and important, so I hope you have a bottle of water and a pack of silly voices with you when you do them because they may take a while Inazuma's battle theme is awesome isn't it? Well the past two nations the traveler is kinda being used by others to get this done and the nations changed, he does get all the credit but he was just used by everyone in Liyue, and now people keep expecting the traveler to show up and solve their problems, it only makes sense he sets some boundaries Lol, Ayaka the pot of plant

Really trying to make sure we understand what is going on and the effect that the Vision Hunt Decree has taken on the region. I am curious to see where this goes. That is a very good point! It is like Liyue broke the Traveller doing all of those fetch quests to the point where he is over them too lol
Don't worry about ending Cyno's burst a lil bit early. It's generally recommended to end it after the 3rd eye so you can refresh buffs, and other off field abilities such as the healing. No other character can provide him off-field abilities that lasts as long as his burst can extend... well except the archons. Their off field abilities usually last around 30 seconds. It's not as important right now though since you're only in overworld. But in Abyss, you'd definitely want to end it after the 3rd eye. Also wait til you see Watatsumi Island. It's the prettiest place in Inazuma imo. And since you are loving the music, I highly recommend watching the official Realm of Tranquiility: Inazuma Live Symphony Performance. Its so good! Plus you get to see them use the Japanese instruments that were used for the Inazuma city soundtrack. It's only a 10 minute video but well worth watching. Then watch the Duel in the Mist video (4 mins). Most of Genshin's regional music are recorded live. And it's so interesting to see the different traditional instruments they use for each region. There's one for Fontaine and Sumeru too. Though I only recommend watching these once you get to these regions in game. But definitely watch the Inazuma ones I mentioned above. Oooh also there's the Genshin Live Concert from 2021 and 2022 (they usually have one every year during Anniversary). It covers the first three regions. All these could be found in the Genshin official channel. These are long videos though, might wanna watch it when you're doing something else on the side. But again, well worth watching if you're into Genshin soundtrack. Anyway, sorry for my unnecessarily long comment. I just tend to type out my thoughts during certain points in the video hehe. Also I won't say much but that arrogant woman. Keep that in mind, you'll be able to connect the dots soon. As for your team comp, I would recommend investing in your cyno related team and ONLY them. Spreading your resources in other units you dont use too thin will punish you if you're not careful. My sister's account learned that the hard way. Try practicing your comps and rotation it'll be a good practice in the overworld. You can even have Monsieur Neuvillette since his hydro is pretty strong event at lvl 40. Would recommend Cyno, Kuki, dendro traveller and Xinqiu or any hydro unit. Also brace yourself at the upcoming ones it's gonna be a doozy. P.s Fun fact: the VA for raiden shogun also voices Hirago Chisato, which is kinda funny and unexpected. Her range is great and those pink like wisp, just use electro on those and you get sakura blossoms. Its a very hard specialty to gather imk
One of the things I hate about Genshin is that it's a tyoe that don't allow to replay quests unless you restart the entire story. Inazuma was fun and I trully wish I can replay the quests, no reward, just the ability to relive these moments in new ways like different party and tactics.
I agree. Especially event quests as well. There should be like a replay chapter tab somewhere just to experience quests again. Not even for rewards or exp but just to go through it again like you said.
I know I'm way ahead of the schedule but To have a smooth experience in future Archon quests, you might consider doing these quests before going to Sumeru : Zhongli's stories quests (2) - Itto's story quest - Raiden's stories quests (2) - Kazuha's story quest ^ ^ it's like a small break between Inazuma and Sumeru, but it will make a lot of things way clearer 👀
I’ve been thinking about it honestly. Just kind of skipping to Sumeru just for beetles and anything else I need. I haven’t fully committed to the idea yet though lol

Also, someone can correct me here, too, since Inazuma is based on Japan, they did include a lot of Japanese traditions too. Like back in the day, I believe it was not proper for a 'commoner' or regular guest to ever look upon nobility directly, especially royalty. So a screen was put in place. Like I said, I am not 100% sure on this.

yep about the visions a character's element depends on their ambition Anemo represents freedom Geo stands for contracts Electro represents eternity Dendro represents wisdom Hydro stands for justice Pyro represents war and apparently Cryo represents love this taking into account the ambition of the Cryo characters and their stories and in the chapter teaser Dain says that Cryo Archon no longer loves its people If you notice all the Cryo characters are in constant internal conflict: Diona can make perfect drinks but she hates alcohol, Chongyun wants to be an exorcist but his pure positive energy doesn't allow it, Eula is part of a stained and corrupt clan but joined to knights of favonius the literal cause of her clan's downfall
Haha yeah that's Inazuma for you. Even geographically speaking, anywhere that isn't Narukami Island will actively try to kill you. And because of the vision hunt decree, even Narukami Isladn will try to kill you. It really says a lot about how the Raiden Shogun runs things in comparison to all the other archons...but you'll get there. It does make for a very aesthetically great spectacle though. 16:15 fun fact, it's something that's really only delved into in events, but Taroumaru here is actually a really powerful ninja dog. He's an actual boss enemy we fight in a handful of events. He's also actually the owner of that teahouse, taking it up after having retired from the shuumatsuban :P 39:13 that's actually a pretty big thing with the Traveler. Another huge thing a lot of people miss in regards to how important Paimon is is in how she's always there to act as our conscience so to speak. The Traveler scolds her for acting selfish a lot, but the Traveler is themselves much more selfish when it comes to moral matters, and it's usually Paimon that gets us to do the morally right thing and help people out a lot of the time. In this specific case though, there's just a lot more to what's going on in Inazuma than we're aware of right now, so that'll be cleared up later.
It really is wild how she is running Inazuma. The whole region is hurting and you get that sense before you even enter and when you do it’s worse than you thought 😂 You just made my day with that fun fact. I wish that dog was a character we could use lmao that is amazing 😂 I do love Paimon and she really does care for the traveler. I mean she is our guide after all lol. I figured there is something bigger going on that I don’t know yet that I’m sure will change my perspective. And this is why I probably won't ever build her because the anxiety of having a char with low HP is too much for me. It's the same reason why I won't get Xiao. Hua Tao recently joined that list too. Too much high risk and high reward for me to handle lol.
Kuki Shinobu starts off a little rough, and outside of Dendro teams, she won’t make that big of an impact. You pretty much NEED Nahida to provide sufficient Dendro application that doesn’t require more than one Dendro unit. Dendro MC is excellent and she can work for Cyno teams, but Nahida is the best-in-slot. Save up your Primogems for Nahida next. Don’t even worry about trying to pull other characters, even if they may seem interesting. Nahida is a must-pull anyway and she’s worth saving several months’ worth of Primogems.
I posted that before I saw the livestream, which announced that Raiden Shogun was coming back on an upcoming banner. She’s another must-pull, though I would still prioritize Nahida.
Ayaka is annoying, so I completely understand Traveler not wanting to deal with her shit. She just decided we should run errands for her and "fullfil wishes" and never asked if we want to I'd help Thoma though, he's hot.
I think ever since the traveler saw their twin, their priority became "find the archon and ask them about my twin, i don't have time to get involved with other people's business". It's actually good that you did the Chisato's letter quest. I don't know if they already fixed it but back when I first started Inazuma, I was interrupted during Act 3 because the game suddenly required me to do that quest 🥲
It really has. He is solely focused on reaching his sister again and if it continues it could get to be a little sketchy dark side vibe from him. I hope not though and he starts wanting to help people again.

Something similar happens in Fontaine, only you use Hydro, but I won't mention it until you get there since you might forget since it's one small detail. Actually in Sumeru there's a plant that only reacts to Dendro too. So even if there are chars you never level up, it's good to have them for element application or puzzles or minor things.

Yeah world quests usually aren't voiced, and some of them are very long and lore heavy and important, so I hope you have a bottle of water and a pack of silly voices with you when you do them because they may take a while

Well the past two nations the traveler is kinda being used by others to get this done and the nations changed, he does get all the credit but he was just used by everyone in Liyue, and now people keep expecting the traveler to show up and solve their problems, it only makes sense he sets some boundaries

ayy let's go! As always I appreciate the comment :) I am really enjoying Inazuma so far and I can feel this is just the beginning. Really trying to make sure we understand what is going on and the effect that the Vision Hunt Decree has taken on the region. I am curious to see where this goes. That is a very good point! It is like Liyue broke the Traveller doing all of those fetch quests to the point where he is over them too lol
Don't worry about ending Cyno's burst a lil bit early. It's generally recommended to end it after the 3rd eye so you can refresh buffs, and other off field abilities such as the healing. No other character can provide him off-field abilities that lasts as long as his burst can extend... well except the archons. Their off field abilities usually last around 30 seconds. It's not as important right now though since you're only in overworld. But in Abyss, you'd definitely want to end it after the 3rd eye.
Also wait til you see Watatsumi Island. It's the prettiest place in Inazuma imo.
And since you are loving the music, I highly recommend watching the official Realm of Tranquiility: Inazuma Live Symphony Performance. Its so good! Plus you get to see them use the Japanese instruments that were used for the Inazuma city soundtrack. It's only a 10 minute video but well worth watching. Then watch the Duel in the Mist video (4 mins).
Most of Genshin's regional music are recorded live. And it's so interesting to see the different traditional instruments they use for each region. There's one for Fontaine and Sumeru too. Though I only recommend watching these once you get to these regions in game. But definitely watch the Inazuma ones I mentioned above.
Oooh also there's the Genshin Live Concert from 2021 and 2022 (they usually have one every year during Anniversary). It covers the first three regions. All these could be found in the Genshin official channel. These are long videos though, might wanna watch it when you're doing something else on the side. But again, well worth watching if you're into Genshin soundtrack.

Also I won't say much but that arrogant woman. Keep that in mind, you'll be able to connect the dots soon. As for your team comp, I would recommend investing in your cyno related team and ONLY them. Spreading your resources in other units you dont use too thin will punish you if you're not careful. My sister's account learned that the hard way. Try practicing your comps and rotation it'll be a good practice in the overworld. You can even have Monsieur Neuvillette since his hydro is pretty strong event at lvl 40.
Would recommend Cyno, Kuki, dendro traveller and Xinqiu or any hydro unit.
Also brace yourself at the upcoming ones it's gonna be a doozy.
P.s Fun fact: the VA for raiden shogun also voices Hirago Chisato, which is kinda funny and unexpected. Her range is great and those pink like wisp, just use electro on those and you get sakura blossoms. Its a very hard specialty to gather imk

One of the things I hate about Genshin is that it's a tyoe that don't allow to replay quests unless you restart the entire story. Inazuma was fun and I trully wish I can replay the quests, no reward, just the ability to relive these moments in new ways like different party and tactics.
I agree. Especially event quests as well. There should be like a replay chapter tab somewhere just to experience quests again. Not even for rewards or exp but just to go through it again like you said.

To have a smooth experience in future Archon quests, you might consider doing these quests before going to Sumeru :
Zhongli's stories quests (2) - Itto's story quest - Raiden's stories quests (2) - Kazuha's story quest ^ ^
it's like a small break between Inazuma and Sumeru, but it will make a lot of things way clearer 👀
.. and the Childe/Tartaglia Story Quest for a little light relief from the despair and tragedy of the other Story Quests.
I will for sure do them as I unlock them. I think I have to be AR 42 so hopefully soon enough 🤩

I’ve been thinking about it honestly. Just kind of skipping to Sumeru just for beetles and anything else I need. I haven’t fully committed to the idea yet though lol

Also, someone can correct me here, too, since Inazuma is based on Japan, they did include a lot of Japanese traditions too. Like back in the day, I believe it was not proper for a 'commoner' or regular guest to ever look upon nobility directly, especially royalty. So a screen was put in place. Like I said, I am not 100% sure on this.

this taking into account the ambition of the Cryo characters and their stories and in the chapter teaser Dain says that Cryo Archon no longer loves its people
If you notice all the Cryo characters are in constant internal conflict: Diona can make perfect drinks but she hates alcohol, Chongyun wants to be an exorcist but his pure positive energy doesn't allow it, Eula is part of a stained and corrupt clan but joined to knights of favonius the literal cause of her clan's downfall

Haha yeah that's Inazuma for you. Even geographically speaking, anywhere that isn't Narukami Island will actively try to kill you. And because of the vision hunt decree, even Narukami Isladn will try to kill you. It really says a lot about how the Raiden Shogun runs things in comparison to all the other archons...but you'll get there. It does make for a very aesthetically great spectacle though.
16:15 fun fact, it's something that's really only delved into in events, but Taroumaru here is actually a really powerful ninja dog. He's an actual boss enemy we fight in a handful of events. He's also actually the owner of that teahouse, taking it up after having retired from the shuumatsuban :P
39:13 that's actually a pretty big thing with the Traveler. Another huge thing a lot of people miss in regards to how important Paimon is is in how she's always there to act as our conscience so to speak. The Traveler scolds her for acting selfish a lot, but the Traveler is themselves much more selfish when it comes to moral matters, and it's usually Paimon that gets us to do the morally right thing and help people out a lot of the time. In this specific case though, there's just a lot more to what's going on in Inazuma than we're aware of right now, so that'll be cleared up later.
It really is wild how she is running Inazuma. The whole region is hurting and you get that sense before you even enter and when you do it’s worse than you thought 😂

Kuki Shinobu starts off a little rough, and outside of Dendro teams, she won’t make that big of an impact. You pretty much NEED Nahida to provide sufficient Dendro application that doesn’t require more than one Dendro unit. Dendro MC is excellent and she can work for Cyno teams, but Nahida is the best-in-slot. Save up your Primogems for Nahida next. Don’t even worry about trying to pull other characters, even if they may seem interesting. Nahida is a must-pull anyway and she’s worth saving several months’ worth of Primogems.
I’m gonna save up for when nahida comes back around for sure. I switched back to Kirara since I have her at c5 which is nice haha

It's actually good that you did the Chisato's letter quest. I don't know if they already fixed it but back when I first started Inazuma, I was interrupted during Act 3 because the game suddenly required me to do that quest 🥲
Chisato's letter is a part of archon quest, you can't ignore it anyway
It really has. He is solely focused on reaching his sister again and if it continues it could get to be a little sketchy dark side vibe from him. I hope not though and he starts wanting to help people again.
