A white peg board for equipment and supplies would look great on the wall behind the chair plus wouldn’t stick out to much (depending on what you stored on it) so would leave plenty of room to access the ironing board. The whole space is looking great 👍
Your Happy Place looks so perfect. Nothing better than organizing and re-doing a space to enjoy. Great video! Love to see the humor you and Scott bring to your adventures.
I only watched Scott during your intro talk..he is such a nice hubby!! He makes me laugh everytime he has something to say!! You guys are a great couple and a wonderful family...love you all:)
Your hubby is sweet for being there to help 😊 although ,..bless his ❤️ for bumping his head . He was patient 😂🤣👍🏻 Men always dislike Honey Do’s 😂🤣 This reminds me of me and my hubby 😂🤣👍🏻 But if Mama ain’t happy,....ain’t nobody happy ....😂🤣👍🏻 got to love the simple things in life ❤️😊👍🏻 Texas Lady🌹
Sophia, oh, oh, oh, this is so,so,good. I love all the white. So unifying, and shows off all your Quilt colors very well. The adjustable feet for the table are genius. You and Scott look like you're having a good time, even though some things were a bit of a challenge. Thanks for bringing us along. Cheers
It’s beautiful! Nice job, Sophia and Scott. Once again, you have one of the best intros and outros on RUclips. Love the music. I’m seeing so much talent here.
Loved the way you planned your sewing room, it's a quilters paradise ! Watching you and Scott was fun,and you asking Ed when he was moving out I laughed out loud. Enjoy your Happy Place, you earned it.
I really enjoyed the two of you working together to make your space work, and it looks lovely. As someone who has been sewing for 60+ years, I do suggest that you invest in a good swivel office chair. Much easier to move around, get in and out of and the height is adjustable, too. Mine has made sewing so much easier on my back also.
Lovely Sophia 💜, Scott is Awesome 👏 also he is still too stinking cute. Y’all did a wonderful job too. It reminds me of me and Hubby working together on our projects 😂. Edward is such a sweet Son, he kept checking on his Mum and Dad to make sure y’all were ok plus poking fun now and then 👏 Lovely Sophia “ Ed when are you moving out of the house? Ed “ What? Lol 😂 Thank you for sharing. We love y’all 💜❤️💕🐶🐶🐱
Hi Sophia, greetings from Down Under. Love, love your happy place. Everything is looking good. The shelving is such a great idea, especially the hanging rail for your quilts. Love the way you and Scott interact with each other. I am looking forward to seeing what you do next. In the meantime, I hope you all stay safe and well. With best wishes 💕🇦🇺.
You mark above the shelf. Scott wants to mark below the shelf. That just about sums up all hubby and wife teams. At least it does for us. 🤣 Space looks great!
Looks fabulous Sophia and love that you and hubby have a twinkle in your eye for each other still...even though you are only planning to spend your retirement meal times together!! lol x
Love this space! Wish I had something similar. Sophia I can't get over how well and happy you are looking. Whatever you are doing for your health, it is working. ✅😊
Love your new and improved sewing area! 🌻 Your interaction with Scott is priceless. 😎 Now you’ll really be motivated to create with such a great space! 🎉🌸
I love your new Happy Place setup. Your second quilt is my favourite! Everything looks so much more cohesive. I like the quilts nearby on the rack like they are instead of hidden away. Enjoy! Tfs & take care 🌺
Sophia Get some S hooks and attach your quilting rulers ( they usually have a hole on them) to the underside of the wire shelf. That how I keep my quilting rulers.
Your happy place looks fabulous love love the quilts. Can I just say turn the ironing board upside down so there is no possibility of the board falling open on top of you. Your mannequin will look nice where the bookcase is. I can see your happy place taking over the basement . Hang one of your small quilts on the wall old sewing needles are great they don't leave holes in the quilts and tiny holes in the walls.
Love how it’s coming along Sophia...just a tip...the space where your ironing cord is you can stand your spray starch there and off the windowsill...great job Scott too...🥰🇦🇺
Having you happy place all brightened up and organized must feel so good! The reason things feel "crooked" after being leveled....is because you are looking at it while sitting in a chair that isn't level. LOL And the wall under the window? You could put a flannel covered board and use it as your design board? Have you seen those? The flannel clings to the quilt piece so you can arrange, rearrange until you get your desired layout.
I love it when you and Scott work together on something. And his tee shirt just cracks me up. Everything looks so nice, my friend. And I know that makes you happy to have an organized space to work in. xx
Definitely attach the 2 additional anchors on the ironing board. I feel like it will give you trouble later on because every time you remove the ironing board from the rack it moves and might loosen the other 2 anchors and you may end up with holes on the wall.
Sophie, you are welcome! It was my dad's longtime girlfriend, Debbie, who died of FTD (Frontotemporal dementia). I found a lot of left over fabric that belongs to that quilt. I will dig it out and send it to you in a few days. Remodeling my whole house right now. Too busy to edit and by the way, I found another job in my original field. You and I have the same college degrees, but I am on the legal side and you medical. Thank you for hanging on to that quilt. Do with it what you wish. She would be proud. I am proud of you and also proud of your weight loss. You inspire me in so many ways. You are a joy in my life and you should be proud of yourself. You have done well.
I don't know if someone suggested this... What about plants in the windows?... Even fake ones will prevent you from stacking stuff there. Plus it's pretty. If you find a treddle machine, give it a whirl. I prefer mine over the electric when doing straight stitching. It's a powerhouse. Tfs. Very inspiring.
Fantastic job! You will love having your own seeing room. You have given me ideas for my room! Thank you, love you and your videos. I look forward to the next one😁
Great job redesigning your “happy place”sewing/quilting area. So nice to see your quilts displayed. The chair looks lovely and goes fits well in the room.
As a quilter I totally understand the need for space, then more space, then more! My quilt room has grown so much and now that all my girls have their own homes I have taken over their rooms also. Our home has a game room and my quilting area is there and one of the other rooms holds my other craft related items. We left the last room for guests. As my husband says, "Unfortunately, you use every square inch." I love what you have done and I know you will spend many happy hours enjoying it! I anticipate seeing you taking over the whole basement as your boys grow and leave home. Then you and Scott can share the space to watch movies and RUclips.
@@mygreatchallenge my mom always wanted one but felt she couldn't afford it. She passed away over a year ago and I bought one with her money. I wish she had the chance to enjoy it for herself.
Really good team work, it all looks so nice & inviting to work there. Makes me want to sew there a good place to be creative. Lovely area, you did good Scott!!
I really like the way you made your happy place so pretty! It's really nice. You have inspired me to fix up my happy place to better organize my scrapbooking "stuff."
I love it! I am inspired now to put up a rack in my happy place. I haven’t been able to figure out what I want, but I love how you are displaying your quilts. This is definitely a consideration. Good job, you two!
you can get salvage machines repaired, depending which brand they are. Mostly when I scavenged machines I found simply that they needed servicing. Or in the case of old treadles, new belts which you can still get. ps, don't bother with any of those 80s sewing cabinets they are made of garbage ply - wait 'til an antique treadle turns up! It all looks lovely
I love everything that you're doing in that room. Beautiful job. The only thing that I would consider doing is looking for the sticky paper to go on the table that has one in grids on it. I think they still make that kind. It is very helpful when working on quilts.
I purchased a 1970s motorized sewing cabinet that's worth a few hundred for just $50 through newspaper ad. After all the heavy lifting and relocating I've had to admit to myself that I prefer sewing on my kitchen table🙄😁
When I install those wire shelves I put them upside down so they have a lip.. then things don't slip off the edge as they are slippery shelves. I love the space!
You: what’s wrong babe ? Can’t get up ?Scott: I’m old 😆 as once we all hit our 50 s we no longer can sit on the floor . Love ❤️ your revamped area very nice and orderly
I really like your "happy place", I actually will make one in my house too💙 I like how you're progressing in what you like.. You're an inspiration for me 💙
I have never seen you this happy in the past. I am very happy you found a way to feed your soul 🌟

You are looking slim and trim! I hope you tell us how you are managing to take the weight off🤞🏼😊
I really enjoyed the two of you working together to make your space work, and it looks lovely.

Haa haa, Hi Scott! Love your shirt 😉 Sophia, you look lovely in minty teal
I really love what you have done with your space! You may not have a lot of room, but you have made the most of the space you do have!!
I love it. You amaze me. I love watching you do things. I was laughing at you & my son ask me what I was laughing at. I told them about you & Scott.
It looks very nice. I love the quilts in the background. You are getting so much done this year.

Omg. I need to buy a new keyboard now! I spewed my tea when Scott was rubbing his belly in front of the camera. 😂

Great job! A sewing quote would look great on that wall and not take up any space. There are lots of decals available.
I think this is your VERY happy place Sophia! Enjoy! ☺️
Great job! It really motivates you when you reorganize your craft room. Did you ever give your father-in-law the beautiful quilt you made for him?
Yes i mailed it to him and he loves it
Beautiful sewing space! it is so bright and organised! 🌷xxx
