Great job,I would tape a piece of paper to the front of the shelf over the oil tank and write “blue tub with Scott’s artwork” then to the right of that, “two wooden chairs, box of curtains”, etc. Then EVERYONE will know what’s behind the other things.😁

You did a great job. It seems you get alot negative comments for your decluttering- wow i can't handle that. You are working at your own pace & energy & work outside of home & maintain a house & family duties & find time for your family- ypu are 1 person doing alot of work - analysis plan & action & re evaluate if it doesn't function. Life is just keeping busy in so many areas. GREAT JOB!

I really like your way of decluttering. This is why I've been with your channel for so long. The more I declutter the more I notice things stay cleaner longer. So much less to go through each go round and my closet is still as neat as last year. I have to try different ways to organize because when you find one that you like it really stays neater longer. Well worth the multiple declutter episodes. Please know your hard work is appreciated.

I’m in same boat as you Sophia! I have been decluttering on my channel pretty much since I started almost 8 years ago. I always decluttered before doing RUclips but just not as seriously as I do now. So probably more casually an one box to goodwill every couple of months not every month like I kinda do now but not always. Yes everyone is different. We all don’t are not going to fit in the same box, pun intended! Lol

A sad situation occurs when folks never declutter and leave it as a burden for the next generation. It is exhausting, time-consuming, and can be anger-fueled. I am making sure that the cool things with the stories are going to my kids now. It is amazing to share the stories now and see them enjoy it and for my grands to hear the stories now.

Sophia….first I want you to know I love your channel. Second I want u to know how good you look. Your hair and skin..your personality is so I would love to be your neighbor. 👍. Third I am giving you permission to let got of the rocking chair and rolling pin. Once you are given something old or new as a gift, it is yours. I know there are people who may be hurt if you didn’t keep a gift given to you, but guess what…they don’t need to know. The fabric is beautiful, but will you ever use it. And fourth it isn’t any of my business…ha. And…whoever tells you you don’t declutter right or good enough..stop giving them your power. Delete…those comments. Shame on them for even saying negative things. Seems to be the nature of the beast being social media. I admire your talent. Your bedroom turned out beautiful and when you did your kitchen I was so impressed. And your garden is so cool. I could go on,,,but you get the point. You are more than good enough and delightful. That’s all….❤️ definitely inspired!

Things like creams, haircare etc I don't use or I know I won't use I'm putting in what's called "weggeefkastjes" in my country(something like a little library but with food and things like hair and bodycare) so other people with lower incomes can use it if they want.

Love it…YOU DO YOU!!! 🤩 Believe me YOU are not the only one! Stuff in my perspective has multiple lives (purposes)…I for one have to make certain something has lived all its lives in my space 😂 and to make certain I have no other uses for it …then it needs to sit for awhile (as more than not, as soon as I get rid of something I realize I could have used it Uggh!) They are always in an orderly place but for me what happens is it’s all so organized the walls start to close in around me as I’ve then used any possible space available-vertical and otherwise! The critical time comes around the holidays when the decorations and gifts, wrappings and extra food stuffs need room…I’ve actually come to call it Clutterdays. 😮….If there isn’t anywhere for the stuff to go, the anxiety hits in full swing! And I go into purging mode 😊

Hi Sophia! Just wanted to pop in and say that you’re doing a great job on
This series of decluttering videos! But the end of this video “the wrap up” was such an inspirational talk! We do have a part of us that just shoves and forgets, and we know it doesn’t affect our life, until it does. Then we must deal with it! This is the part of me that has to have compassion for those people that do not deal with it,instead-it becomes overwhelming for them and they continue to add and add until it is effecting them severely. It cripples them. I DO NOT HAVE THAT COMPASSION YetI want to help them, I have some-people like this in my life- but what’s the old saying? SWEEP YOUR ON BACK PORCH BEFORE YOU SWEEP YOUR NEIGHBORS.
I could go on, but won’t. You get my point here. I’m pointing fingers at myself, no one else.
My biggest issue is the “reselling” aspect of my life. It has to be managed. So I do get what you’re saying about having the need to organize your supplies.
Loved this basement declutter. You have gotten rid of a ton!

If you’re going to actually pack up the Etsy items in that area, ( and why not, there’s even carpet!😁) could you lay the door and half door that you’re keeping on top of two dressers or something from the garage? That would give you counter space to wrap and pack on with storage underneath! You could even keep that small white bookcase to put on top of the “counter” for the current items that have sold and need to get packaged.🙌🏻

She would’ve been so excited to pick things people got rid of. She loved yard sales & would always buy odds and ends. She loved dishes & would buy nice china pieces. Our family always ate off of different plates & bowls. She also sewed so the house had lots of fabric in it. I know she would’ve loved watching your channel. Great words of wisdom at the end. I’m older now & not in good health. It’s hard for me to stand or reach for things. I’m trying to get rid of stuff. Right now everything is out of my kitchen cabinets. I’m really overwhelmed. Sofia I remember you swapping the decorations into the boiler room 😂. If I remember, you were frustrated about having to shuffle the memorabilia boxes to get to the decorations. Maybe this time put them farther back and not in the front. That way you don’t have to shuffle boxes around!

That door in the discard pile would make a great work table in the box room. Hand the bubble wrap on a dowel suspended from the ceiling.

There must be a sport memorabilia store that would take a look at them? A pawn shop?

I’ve just recently found your channel and I certainly relate to it! I have been binge watching your older videos and am on day 12 of your 30 Bags in 30 Days Decluttering. I actually started a bag yesterday and decluttered 2 kitchen drawers, will start bag in another room! You are an inspiration!!!

Sophia, you are a remarkable woman. I'm a fairly organized person by nature but you have inspired me to look at some things with a different perspective. I went through this process about 10 years ago ( I think I'm about 10 years older than you) and the main reason I did it was I felt like all the "stuff" was controlling me and taking away my joy. Things I though my kids might want or enjoy......no way did they want it! I still do a annual declutter/reorganization of my home and it gets easier each year because I don't let it build up. I also don't want to leave this world and the last picture my kids have of me is all the stuff they don't want, need and have no interest or of no value to them. I've really enjoyed this series and I'm sure you've helped others' in their journey too! Thank you for sharing.

Preach Sophia!!! I'm with you....move, shufflle and finally we kick it out!! LOL!!! I look at it like we had so much fun that we did not have time to deal with stuff....where others probably....have the money (or in debt) to keep changing stuff or they may have the time on their hands to sit and think about what to do with their stuff or like you said....they have the awesome gift of seeing exactly what needs to be done. I hear you loud and clear.

I will never get tired of the circus like music in these videos😂 I am a perfect example of what you described about delayed decision making. I buy things that I like with no real plan, then they sit around with the tags for years until I give them away. Because I could never make a decision about how to wear the item or where to put the home decor item in my home. I get so frustrated with myself.

I couldn't wait until breakfast tomorrow ! Une vidéo de 50 minutes semblait trop croustillante pour attendre 🤣
I have plans for the boiler room 🤣
Can't wait to have your opinion on that !!! You deserve a proper space as much as you needed it for the sewing or a real closet in your room

Hi Sophia, l just love how you see things and your understanding too. It is all true what you say and without any judgement. Love it and l totally agree😊On this earth it is all about learning our lessons not anything to do about material things at all. So by realizing our mistakes that is when with our good conscience and good free will good things happen! Good luck Sophia you are doing such a great job! Bravo!👏🤗👍🥰😘

Do you think one day you could use your "cold room" as a root celler when you have all the lovely vegetables from your garden? Not sure if the temperature would remain consistent enough but fun to think about.

I had some fabrics for sewing projects stored in cardboard boxes in my attic, and unfortunately being in contact with the cardboard caused them to fade in some places and turn brown in others. If you want to preserve those Chinese silk draperies, you might want to wrap them in acid-free tissue to protect them and/or store them in an acid-free box. Hollinger Metal Edge sells acid-free archival storage materials.

Love the video, and reminders that we each have to do this as it is right for us.
I have to say, I do not have much in the way of hiding places. The clutter eats into our living spaces. So to decrease the clutter, will increase our sense of well-being and peacefulness. We do live life, do fun things, but the clutter makes it take longer to find stuff, and can end up costing when we buy something we didn't remember we already had.
Thanks for your encouragement, and your videos, showing it can be done, piece by piece.
