Sennheiser has more clarity and crisp, but Audeze has more punch in sub bass.
Guess it all comes down to the sound you want!
sub bass techniquely won’t “punch” but i guess subjective description varies. senns just has less realistic bass and the auduzes are indeed quite good

The hd600 has always been known for the voice clarity and a sort of intimate feeling but damn that comparison was damning
I felt the senheisers had more clarity in the guitars and could hear them properly

@@jackSo42 Ive never called myself a sound engineer. Though I feel like I know my stuff here and there because of my hobby. Again. Liking a headphone more than another is a personal preference. It may be a headphone with a flatter frequency response, but that does not make it an objectively better sounding headphone because, again. It's personal preference.

It would be great if you could compare some headphones like the MM-500 with Sonarworks and without equalization.
I have had them for around half a year now.. I tried to eq them with sonarworks and realphones.. It only made them worse balance, separation.. everything.. I tried everything the first 3-4 month. with and without dsp.
I definitely prefer to use them with the oratory eq. It's SO much better than all the other options out there. Not only for use but for translation when i mix and master.
I run soundsource on the mac, add dmg equilibrium eq and apply the eq.

Considering I listened to this on my HD600s and not on a pair of headphones that were neutral, it is hard to tell what the true differences are, especially considering RUclipss audio compression.
Hd600 are neutral signature
@@salamanderhillbillyweasel1629 Not the most neutral, they have quite a bump in the mids, not as much as say the 660s but it is still noticeable. I don't have a truly neutral headphone

The audeze sounds more neutral and natural, the other feels a little bit hyped
For me the HD600 was better in the first song in the female vocals but the second song was easily better on the MM. I didn't expect such a difference. Bass was better on the MM on both songs. Overal i whould take the MM because i personally value the better bass.
Audeze felt more balance and able to hear instruments more clearly

Tone of the planars sound like you are cupping your hands over the earcups of a dynamic headphone. Like listening in a bucket. I hate that so much

@@VENOM-vq3ju yup. planar tend to do this. the dust filter ruin it. but to leave fragile driver too exposed worried me. i removed everything on the back of my headphone, the transparency and other elements improved alot.

First song both are pretty much the same, second song MM-500 is the clear winner

This Sennheiser with veil is still rendering music with better clarity than Audeze. What does that say about Audeze?

@@areginalow frequencies are horrible on seinheiser ...stop saying shit and try the headphones with music with bass not only mid range ...beacause it's some logical ...if you cut the low frequencies, you will perceive the medium frequencies better...and the seinheiser have definitly no sub bass

HD600 lacks lower end.
HD600 did better with vocals, no surprise. MM500 did better with the video game track with the more sub-bass and bass presence

second recording is atrocious quality, so its not gonna sound good on either
I use an equalized Sennheiser HD 650.
The HD600 is undoubtedly the winner

Press the Super Bass Boost System button on your MP3 player and then I think you will be satisfied.
A little advice: go to a recording studio instead of dreaming of a sound that doesn't exist.
And if you don't like the original sound of the instruments and go back to DJ music, there you will have plenty of plugins to modify all the sound of all the instruments you want.

@@getal1439it's pure logic...the hd600-650 have no bass, so you perceive the mid frequencies... it's as if you put a huge low cut => obviously you isolate the voice lol. .. to have an lcdx and an hd650, there is no match... audeze wins 1000 times
Audeze is better because it's clearer and more hi fidelity. Hd600 has it's infamous dark veil which clouds detail and also it has a small soundstage. Audeze is also multiples(in price) more than Hd600.

The MM …seem a little too bright..for my taste …tho the sob bass is present …can you live with the tonality 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
