It’s not just that Bruce got old and quit, that doesn’t fit his character. The reason why he quit was because he willingly pulled a gun onto a thug that he could’ve easily beaten a few years prior. Bruce was close to pulling the trigger, nearly breaking his code of no killing, which is why he quit being Batman.
Bruce retired from being Batman due to his old age and health issues getting the better of him. The moment Bruce picked up the gun (the weapon of a coward) & realized that Batman was afraid that he had no choice but to pull a gun on a punk that just got lucky, was when he decided to call it quits. Everyone within the Bat-Family either called it quits or died of old age, leaving Bruce alone for the rest of his old days. THAT WAS THE CASE UNTIL HE MET TERRY!!!
Hey, when Terry discoverd the batcave, he was just trying to help free a bat he thought was trapped in a clock. The fact that it turned out to be a secret entrance to the batcave wasn't known, so it's not snooping to help out an animal you think is trapped in a place like a clock. As for entering the passage, we all are curious about secret passages, right? Especially when there is no apparent danger.
For me personally, I was never a fan of the changes that Justice League Unlimited made to the Batman Beyond lore. Well okay, the story of Ace and how Batman's dog got his name was pretty cool. But I absolutely hated the idea of Terry ending up being Bruce's biological son due to CADMUS shenanigans. Shenanigans that are so convoluted and farfetched that they don't even make a lick of sense. I miss when Terry really was just a kid who happened to cross paths with Bruce and his world during a very crucial time in his life. The series had this spontaneous charm, and a coherent story. For me, JLU's "Epilogue" ruined all of that.
Admittedly I like how Amanda Waller got her character development in that episode. The realization that she's using a most unsavory method to create a new Batman hit her hard. And Andrea was the one to tell her off about it.
@@Scrap1240 lol maybe but please be honest you would never want to get on Batman's bad side while with the other two you'd be able to relax a bit more while around them.
@@Scrap1240I think it might be after the show. Terry mentions Bruce talking about most of his rogues gallery so it definitely probably happened after those episodes.
I really didn't like the episode from Justice League: Unlimited for retconning that Terry is Bruce Wayne's biological son. It's contrived and makes the universe feel small. It was far better when it was just by chance that Terry found Bruce that night. Sure, it was convenient that the son of the guy who found incriminating evidence would run into the retired Cape Crusader, but I was willing to let it slide. Now it's just adding more conveniences on top of that. That being said, Batman Beyond is an example of how to do a legacy character, without ruining or disrespecting the original.
I mean even if that episode was something different you can’t disagree that it’s jsut a weird character design choice that Terry and his brother have black hair when his parents have red/ orange hair to begin with lol
They have to be lol Batmans dna is strong! and I don't mind Terry being bruce's son in this universe cause you could say the same thing about Damien Wayne he's Bruce's kid too and he became another Robin lol@@Scrap1240
@@Narutoanime16g That's kind of a thing in animation, where the hair color (or really anything) will be different between the kids and the parents. My deal with the retcon is that it comes out of nowhere after the show has long since ended. The episode itself is rather good and I like that Terry is questioning so much, while still finding a true understanding of what it means to be Batman. But making him and his brother the biological kids of Bruce was too much.

Waiting for a live action Batman Beyond with Micheal Keaton
It almost happened, but the cancellation of the Batgirl film and the box office bomb of the Flash film has put that to rest.
8:04 if you rewatched Epilouge from Justice League you know why Bruce called his dog Ace
Oh wow, didn't even pick up that. Nice
This show and the movie is super good!❤❤ 😊 Amazing reaction i love you energy!
awww, thank you so much

G back when, in ancien tg times(the 1940s), Batman DID use a gun. I am not clear on when he took ip his no guns(except his line-gun) policy.
