  • This week the Chancellor delivered his Autumn Statement. He announced some of the biggest tax cuts since the 80s and the biggest cash increase to the Living Wage ever. This is only possible because debt and borrowing is lower than forecast, we avoided a predicted recession, and inflation is now half of what it was at its peak. There was a lot in the statement, but I wanted to pick out some key bits that will benefit people and families in Orpington.
