    You can also adjust your valve lash factory they run these loose for kids gives it a slow take off

    One more reason to remove the governor. Checking the dots!

      I wonder how many more are out there with timeing off

  • @observingrogue7652
    @observingrogue7652 Месяц назад

    You got me thinking about the timing on mine. I stopped using the 2 stroke kits, because they are so messy & unreliable. I think with my last one, the factory installed the crank seal wrong, and that lead to an air leak that made it run lean, regardless of the jetting. And it eventually overheated & seized. Never again. I should probably just build engines from scratch, or take apart a new 4 stroke, before doing anything with it.

    Instead of using a bolt, what about just cutting it and reinstalling it? Your becoming my go to for these things bro! Thank you!

      Thanks and can you explain more about cutting

      @@engineunknown2 I removed the governor arm (guess it called that) cut the angled part off above the two flat spots where the washer sits and then just smoothed it up before reinstalling it. I installed the carb you got and everything put back together, it's running alot better now

    Great video. But, I did not understand how was the timing off. The two dots?

    • @engineunknown2
      @engineunknown2  Год назад

      So the two dots have to line up to be in time for the Valves opening and closing. If it's out of time the Valves open and close at the rong time witch couse low power and the Valves could hit the piston

    • @diyek1781
      @diyek1781 Год назад

      You should have pointed out the dots with a finger or pen. Anyway, the two dots as the black small hole on the big pulley and the what appears to be the silver circle(dot) on the small pulley?

    • @diyek1781
      @diyek1781 Год назад +1

      I just saw the video again and there is a dot on the one Tooth of the small pulley. I guess the other dot on the big pulley is the black one. I think got it. Thank you

    I want to get one of these and yank the four stroke and put in a spicy 2 stroke. Seems like a good frame and build as a starter and much less expensive than building it myself from the ground up. There are a few things I would change but they look pretty good overall, probably better than most rollers I could buy elsewhere.

    • @engineunknown2
      @engineunknown2  10 месяцев назад

      Ya I was thinking about doing that to my all terrain. I have a pk80, but I think it will not have enough power for the 4 inch wheels
