    I think the nieve preamps are there because someone had the Di pre a bit loud and it clipped. Clipping the plugin to cover it up with some saturation is a great little trick though.

    The ToneX «eco-system» delivers as hell!
    Using it live, in practice and to track ideas.
    Always DI through a high end preamp when tracking, and very often the Tech21 Qstrip through RND 5032. Love it!!

      The design and layout of the Software is one of the worst I've ever encountered. I actually like the user experience on the pedal, but the choice of outputs does not really make sense to me. The realism of the captures plus the ability to use them as VST and on the hardware unit at this price point makes it all up for me though.

    • @Krypt666Norway
      @Krypt666Norway 6 месяцев назад

      Software works anyhow the «complexity». The quality of the profiles is what matters to me. Does not count negative that the price for the whole package is pretty low.
      Works flawless in all the different scenarios.
      Playing live in a 1500+ cap venue was not a problem, rather a real pleasure. Changeover was ultra fast and the soundguys loves it!

      @@Krypt666Norway The problem is not the complexity, there are way more complex apps that just make way more sense. I agree on everything else you say.

    damn, finally someone who notices the resonance peak around 640-660 hz!
    i hear it in a lot of modern videos on YT and i have the exact same problem in my mixes, mostly on the rhythm guitars, but no one seems to hear it.
    a few days ago Bradley Hall released a Death Metal song, there's a riff in that songs where you can only hear that frequency spike above all the chuggs!
    i use a Focusrite Scarlett and i thought that was the problem but it happens with other audio interfaces too.
    any idea why it happens?

      Most of these are DI into the usb hub of a computer. It is a well known fact that a 600hz thru 1000hz "boost" is built into the code of USB drivers. This is done to ensure that "vocals" come thru loud and clear so basic comp users can get good vocal results for podcasting. IF you go into the REGEDIT portion of win 7-11 comps you can goto the usb driver software and select "n" for "vocal enhancement" Depending upon your build of computer it will either be a "zero" or an "n" based on who built the computer. It's very easy to do. ON my HP it is "zero, 0" to select "NO" This will eliminate the 10db boost windows gives USB drivers at the hub to increase vocal syllabance and resonance for better podcasts. Or, Use a dual mono EQ to reduce the 600-1100hz range by at least 13db to ensure that it is gone. I recommend a "Q" of at least 8 and preferably 16 to keep from removing much below and above that range. Hope this helps.

      Why. I ordered it during the sale and still haven't gotten my license. Plus bunches of people are complaining about glitches and bugs. Glenn is a schill and a hack. Just 2 years ago he "screamed at the top of his lungs AGAINST plugins and sims" now he's developed one. I bought it to see about the bugs everybody was ranting about. Can't use it because I haven't gotten the license yet. Glenn got our money. Good luck. I'll check back in a year and see how your experience is then.
