I agree his rating system is unique my only critique would be some sort of adjustment to add a N/A for Hook and Video if the songs don't have one or both because that really can tank a songs grade as if its missing one or both it automatically loses a grade or 2
Yep, NF reactions are almost always really popular, but the problem is that the majority of the new subs are only going to watch NF reactions, and the views on everything else are gonna be inevitably lower than usual. It's a controversial trade-off...a double edged sword, if you will.
He does the kind of like devil may cry/japanese action game rating system, pretty unique amongst reactors...not sure i've seen anyone else do this in this manner at least. May have to steal this idea myself 😂

After the Search dropped it beat Chance the Rapper’s album head to head. Critics weren’t thrilled with that and Rolling Stone’s review called NF a one-trick pony. So that’s a callback to it. Plus NF wrote Paid my Dues in response to the criticism.
Instead of Hook maybe it should be Hook/Bridge So songs like this dont get penalized for no true hooks.

My only beef is with the "hook" rating.
If a song literally doesn't have one, then the hook can neither be "good" or "bad" and, therefore, should have no value/rating whatsoever... Otherwise, NF, who only puts a chorus/hook on a track if it's absolutely essential, thereby avoiding useless "filler", will almost always end up with a skewed rating in your system.
That aside, though... I'm glad I stumbled upon your channel. It's a nice deviation from the somewhat monotonous reaction video format.
Would the hook be a new and unique way of doing it, in other words the hook could be argued that it lies within the beat. As in every time the scene changes it starts that climb again
This was a Cypher style mixtape rap. So a hook would be out of place here, as Cyphers don't usually have hooks involved. You could slot this in to say one of Crypt's youtube cyphers and it wouldn't be out of place. I know Crypt's producer Joey Nato absolutely loved the production of this track.

Two Fun facts:
1. The cars lane scene is fully real, i think it took around 15 takes to make it, and that's INSANE, i can't imagine myself making one take with cars coming at me.
2. NF actually writes song to a beat, he gets the beat first, and then writes lyrics, and not the other way around, which is freaking sick.

@@JayUpTV this almost certainly is a response to everyone comparing/criticizing him for "sounding like eminem" which couldn't be further from the truth, though he has said that the real rap god was his biggest influence. Clouds was pretty influential, you can hear some of it inspirationally in Tom Macdonald's "Don't look down" towards the end of the track I knew it sounded familiar.
I feel like if there isn't a hook it should be skipped not given an F if you're gonna really grade songs. The way you grade the only way to get a perfect score is to have a hook.

If I could suggest, NF and Twenty One Pilots reactions are a good combo if you want to grow a reaction channel. Both talk about mental health a lot, both extraordinary unique talents, both religious but not overtly, and both with MASSIVE and dedicated fan bases that will watch any reaction to their artist. With Twenty One Pilots, I would start with "Ode to Sleep" "Car Radio" "Guns for Hands" and "Stressed Out" before you start diving into the lore of Blurryface and the whole concept of the Trench album.

#NFARMY we will be waiting and hoping you take the journey. You should start at the beginning. Most of his songs and videos tie into each other. Start with intro and then mansion. New sub for NF.
What you missed is the whole song is the hook. Also at the begining quietly head in the clouds isbeing spoken backwards.
No hook so the F for that is valid. But having a song go so hard and so amazing without a single swear word and some of the lines he drops in this I feel like the lyrics deserves that S rank.

You can literally react to every NF song and it'll bang in views and grow your sub count. I recommend doing it in chronological order over the course of a few months. Make the title something like "FIRST TIME HEARING: NF - __________ (REACTION)" I promise you views will bang. NF is dope man. He got hiccups at the concert I saw him live at and paused so he could wait for them to go away. So relatable and chill. Some INSANE tracks too. By far one of my favorite artist of this generation.

Great reaction, like most I think the hook rating needs to be modified. This was a Cypher style track, so there is no hooks in a cypher. I havn't looked yet to see if you've reacted to Crypt's youtube Cyphers. But once you hear that, you'll kind of see how this would fit in that category.
