Great presentation, as always, James. It's a nice series you've got going on. Given the amount of pens you have tried out now, have you considered making best-of / top 10 or similar kind of ranking videos?
You can't go wrong with these, they are so versatile, Any of the Jinhaos. And so many manufacturers do not include a converter. You could buy the pen just for the converter. NOW...they have new cool colors that I am buying. These will be my first Sharks under $10 for 5.
Just bought a pen from Galen Leather on the strength of your review. Wonderful experience! Thanks for that. And I think it would make a good student pen too.
The Shark is a real fun pen to write with. I own the pack of 12 Mako Shark - F. nib (Amazon) - $17.99 for the 12 ($1.50/pen). I find the nib a surprisingly smooth writer. Nice colors. Comes in a nice plastic case to keep them all together. Love your review of the Jinhao pens. In my collection, I own about 64 Jinhao pens. Love the X750, X450, 159, 3000 & 100 Centennial. Also appreciate how easy it is to swap nibs with aGoulet, Knox, Nemosine, Bobby nib in case you wish to exchange with another size nib. Love that Jaws theme (LOL)
I got some, and it's pretty awful. But for the price it's alright I guess... If I have a friend who wants to try fountain pen, I'd direct them to Wing Sung 3003 instead.
Love this Inexpensive writing instrument
I loveeeeee jinhao shark. Got whole box for $8 shipping include. I gave one to my boss and he likes it too. great for office paper.
I love the jinhao 992! The 911 is s wet writer.

I am not a big fan of the shaped sections, but I do really enjoy the 51a pens that I have!
Shark is a great pen. I have eyedroppered one with no problems. Jinhao does a great job with value, quality, variety. Thanks, James.

Hate to hear yours was a dud, but I'll second your 3003 recommendation.
So in short, just get a bunch of Jinhaos?
It's certainly not the worst plan. 👍🏻
I had a jinhao shark pen, don't use it prefer the y6 or 992
