A very good comparison. A suggestion: if at the end you add photos or a travelling shot to be able to see the difference with all the sizes it would be perfect. Thanks,
This. Respectfully between the angle, focus, and distance it is impossible to actually see the comparison. Please post zoomed in overhead shots that actually compare the nibs.
I was gifted an Omas extra fountain pen about 25 years ago, it is a beautiful pen which came with a tassel and a leather pen sleeve. Unfortunately I tossed the box since moving house and now has the pen but no nib. Where can I get nib for the OMAS pen. I am going to Spain in 2 weeks time and maybe can find it in Barcelona?
It'll be tough to source just the nib only. You might want to ask the folks at OMAS to see if they may have a solution for you. Contact them at this link - omasofficial.com/pages/contact
OMAS does have nice nibs.... but I am totally done with this pen company. I have purchased 2 expensive OMAS Ogiva pens from Goldspot very recently with total dissatisfaction. They are lovely to look at and the nibs are great. However, the filing mechanism barely works and I cannot fill the ink chamber to any reasonable capacity level. They do write nicely and feel good in the hand ... but unless you want to ink-up your pen EVERYDAY, skip this brand. I am going back to my original loves of Sailor and Pelican! (BTW, Goldspot is great to work with). Thanks, John Gig Harbor, WA
Thank you for sharing your experience, John. I'm sorry to read that the filling systems of the OMAS pens let you down. I'll be sure to share that feedback with them because we would love to see the product improve to be at the caliber that it should be for such a revered brand.
Much appreciate your nib comparisons, I especially like how you describe the feel of each nib. Thank you!
Most welcome. It's my pleasure to test them out and share my experience with them.
Holy Nibs Batman! Great video!
Nice review. I love my EF Omas.
Please close up the aperture more or use a smaller sensor for these closeup shots.
Excellent info, thanks, Tom!
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences
This is an excellent video - very informative. Thanks very much.
I want one so much! Great video Tom thank you.
A close-up of the handwriting would have helped the viewer appreciate it better. As it is the nib's action is too far away.
Quiet interesting nibs!

Hi. The camera is too far from the sheet.

Love the nib comparison ❤. Are feeds made of materials besides plastic and ebonite?? Or perhaps other types of plastic that can improve ink flow.
What type of paper quality you choose when you compare different nib sizes!. Will you compare on different paper quality?
I just watched a video you did 6 years ago and OMG you have not aged at all the only thing that has changed is your voice and facial hair.
Thank you. Pens keep me young.
Does OMAS manufacture its own nibs in-house?

They're not like the old Omas pens.
