the west likes to force this Idea on their people that women in Islam are "forced" to wear Hijab, they have this imagining that we live in Nazi germany or something. It's true that in some Muslim country women are forced to wear Burqa or whatever they call it, but if you do the math they make a very small percentage, but the western media is fond of making generalisations and spreading lies and deception, that's their purpose. it's not true. God has forgiven and saved a killer even a prostitute who helped someone. These are true stories but more elaborate in quran and hadith. So it's not a given that if you sin you will go to hell. We all sin. All humans even muslims sin. we are only human and that's how god created us. it doesn't mean he's not testing us and we can keep sinning. but anyone's relationship with god is personal. noone can say you are going to hell or heaven even if you are the most pious or bad person because only God knows what hides in your heart. God did not tell tell you to kill animals and make scarves to cover your heads. The Quran didn't tell you to do this either. It was human personal interruption which lead to Muslims taking the "Dress moderately" part of the Quran, to putting a cloth over your head, and even further extremities of worse interruptions, to absolutely fully covering females.
When you consider what the cloth actually covers, 70% it's your hair. Hair does not attract men to you, nor commit sins of any formalities relative to lustful desires. A face can be pretty or attractive, but again this alone is not the same feeling as sexual or lustful desires. A mother can know her daughter has a pretty face equally to any male stranger she passes on the street. That is not a bad thing... That is a natural God given gift in itself!
Since the only part of a hijab which isn't covered is the face, and the face alone can only be considered pretty and not lustfully appealing the same way a body can, the entire man made instruction to wear a hijab is a contradiction to Islam. It's an issue which has always, and is always still being debated among scholars, but in good time, Muslims will no longer wear them, the closer they get to realising that tradition is not teaching the message, tradition is habit, tradition is not Love, and Allah or God, whichever name you choose in which ever language at whatever volume, should always and most importantly remain as 1 thing... Love.
There are some beautiful Arab girls, who shouldn't be taught from birth to do this tradition.
They should be free and men who lust after free girls, are the sinners who must be tamed!
A girl being born beautiful is the most natural gift they will ever receive in their life.
That is not their fault, but a man who has bad thoughts of a beautiful lady is the evil one, because in his heart he commits adultery with HIS eyes... not hers. I lived in Palestine (west bank) for 10 months, and I learned the real reason why many women/girls wear hijab is because their family forces them to wear it. Also it's actually more of a social class thing...girls and women from the upper class don't feel the pressure to wear it as much as girls from a lower class. Also education and the view of women in the family plays a role in this as well. That's just from my first hand experience knowing girls from West Bank who wear or don't wear hijab.

I have lived in israel for 7 years and i have been in touch with arabs ( bedouin) and jews at the same level... There are many families which wont accept a girl who doesnt wear hijab. And there will be many guys who wont ever marry a "non-hijabi"
About the girl who is very sad about the fact that people think that she was a terrorist because she was wearing a hijab, i can say there is a reason. There were many girls who were involved in terrorist attacks and they were wearing hijab.

The word HIJAB is used in the Quran but not for ladies.
Check these Ayath/verses that they say have Hijab in them. (But not found)
In Quran 33.59 - “ … JILBAB over themselves…”
in Quran 24.31 - “… Khimar over the Jayb..”
The word is KHIMAR in the Quran.24.31
- Root Meaning of KHIMAR is just a COVERING,
it can also be a neck scarf, any scarf, dupatta, chadar, etc.
There is no head, hair, veil, niqab or any such importance in the Quran,
transliteration of Q24.31: “yadribna bi’Khumur’ihinna ala juyoob’ihinna”
[Plurals : khumur, juyoob]
Quran 24.31 (see the part of the verse they say has hijab )

KHIMAR = COVERING
and
JAYB just means OPENING
- like an opening in a dress, deep-neck, like shirt pocket - is a jayb
To verify from the Quran check this example in
//Quran 28.32 (part)
“…. yadaka fee jayb’ika …”. //
“… put your hand in your Jayb..”
(clearly a pocket or opening in the dress)
(or) some people translate it as chest/ bosoms coz that’s where the Jayb is.
Look at where the importance is in the verse:
“COVERING over the Jayb”
- but the EXPLANATIONS of ‘Sect’ /Firqa leaders promoted the concept of ladies’HIJAB
- by adding it in books written much later after the Quran AND by adding words with brackets in translations and explanations
- AND also these Firqa leaders wrote the Dictionary centuries later to push their meanings
- please ask them : when and who wrote the Dictionary that they show their meanings from?
We should not accept new meanings to the words after the word is used in the Quran
- in the present era the meanings can be understood by checking the same word usage within the Quran
- see where the word is used again.
QURAN is it’s own DICTIONARY within it - (by using the important words in other verses and locking the meanings).
They should know when the same root word is used for intoxicants even then it’s used for COVER
- any intoxicant or alcohol COVERS the ability INSIDE the mind -
Please NOTE : khumur /intoxicants/ALCOHOL does NOT cover the HAIR or outer-head.
How can a religion claiming to be for the whole world - promote desert clothing for far off freezing lands?
IF anyone wants TO FOLLOW WORDS OF ALLAH then they should verify with the Quran - coz every secondary source should match with the Quran
AND they should not add words in translations.
JILBAB:
Means any decent OUTER CLOTHING worn above the under-garments - it’s plural is JALABIB
The verse in the Quran 33.59 is about JILBAB - it’s about wearing outer clothing - where it also says that “they can be RECOGNISED and NOT HARASSED”
So the condition is to be recognised :
how will anyone RECOGNISE if you cover fully?
- So avoid tight clothing - it’s really simple as per Quran.
Wearing clothes that the security personnel and other people are scared of coz they cannot recognise the person inside - as a result you face difficulty and then that results in feeling harassed.
Check the verse Q.33.59 below and remember that some translations or interpretations have added words in brackets - so look at Arabic /or word-to-word translation to VERIFY, yes VERIFY.
“… alay’ihinna min jalabib’ihinna… “

O Prophet! Ask your wives, daughters, and believing women to draw their JILBAB over themselves .
In this way it is more likely that they will be RECOGNISED
and not be HARASSED.

Notice it’s only talking about properly covering themselves - there is NO emphasis on head, hair, face covering in this verse also.

That's not correct, yes there're cases when part of them women are forced to wear Hijab- And anyone who forces a woman to wear a Hijab doesn't represent Islam for sure. However, the majority of us wear hijab by our choice, by ourselves. For example, I'm not a Hijabi but I decided to wear Hijab, for myself, for my God.

Jewish religious women also cover their hair. My friend who has beautiful thick hair started covering her hair the moment she got married to a religious man,also jewish. I don't believe in face coverings, especially in public buildings or dealing with people. Hard of hearing people rely on eye contact and facial expressions and to wear a fave covering whilst dealing with people is completely selfish and unnecessary. The hijab however, I like the concept of a lady's beauty being preserved for the husband. Jewish ladies do it and some Christian ladies do it too (or they used to)

Hijab is required in ISLAMIC countries, but when in other lands, the Quran requires ALL Muslims to follow the law of the land. So if a land does not want people wearing hijabs, they are not required to wear the hijab, but the opposite.
Also, the reason why people have a problem with hijabs is someone could commit a crime, and if they get away, they are much harder to identify. Hair tells a lot when trying to identify a suspect.

I was in Israel last Summer. 40/45 Celsius degrees plus the humidity day and night. Those women are hero's,I mean with this hot weather to dress like this must be a torture.

Hijab is not about head covering. It is a complete package. As a Muslim women we are asked to wear head to toe covering with loose dress. If you cover your head and wear fitting dress and make up , it is not proper hijab. And the most important thing hijab is obligatory not choice for Muslim women. In the Quran Allah first ordered man to lower their gaze . It is really frustrating to watch the series that very few Palestinians answered correctly about islam. In the comment section some people are giving examples of some countries. Islam does not care about any county, race and color. We have clear instructions about every thing. If we follow it we will be rewarded or if we don't we will be punished. As simple as that. And the rules won't be changed till the end of the world for anyone.

Yes, if a woman follows a command of Allah swt then its an act of worship. The main reason a woman is wearing it is Allah swt commanded her to in Quran and hadiths, she is following milats of islams.
When I was young, I read the Quran, loved it, saw the command for woman to cover, then I covered, I never thought initially about it being modest. I thought Allah swt commanded me to do it. I hear and obey whatever he has commanded me to do, the benefits are after effect for me.

People aren't perfect, In our religion-Islam, there's a specific way to wear hijab correctly- it's not only to cover our hair, but also we have to wear modest and clothes that covers our body and the female areas, and not to wear makeup as well. This is the right way to wear it, even though that unfortunately some people don't wear it correctly, but may Allah guide them and guide all of us.
