If you play them on turns 1 and/or 2 they are amazing, but that's the same case for Sol Ring, Mana Crypt, Chrome Mox, Mox Diamond, Mana Vault, etc.
But now we get to mid/late game and you top deck Burgeoning and or Exploration... yeah they don't seem so great anymore, if anything this is one reason why I would personally consider the cards not worth running in the first place.
Also take into consideration that if somebody shoots or counters them that hand you kept no looks super mediocre (ex. Burgeoning, Forest, Forest, Stomping Grounds, Somberwald Sage, Giant Adephage, and Beast Within... Xenagos as conmmander)

Lifecrafter's Bestiary (not a green card)
    Zendikar Resurgent
The 8 in no particular order

Now after watching the vid. Sure Beast Within, but I personally would Rank Song of the Dryads higher than that. Even if it is not instant speed. The ability to circumvent the commander going to the command zone is a very very big plus.
But Asceticism? From my experience it doesn't do that much anymore. I face more boardwipes than pinpoint removal and most of it is not regeneratable...also it being on the field makes it much less useful than Heroic Intervention IMHO. Courser of Kruphix over Oracle of Mul Daya seems dubious to me

    • @paulszki
      @paulszki 2 года назад

I think sylvan library needs SOME work to actually do something. It's incredibly powerful, yes but you the rest of your deck still needs to accommodate it in some ways like with shuffle effects or effects that turn card draw into other effects, like the onslaught "words of ...." enchantments. It feels like a card that is really strong only, when the rest of your deck is also really strong (e.g. Fetchlands).
A card like Beastmaster's Bestiary is WAY less powerful because of it's higher and ongoing manacost but it's easier to just put into any green deck, even budget ones. (also, having to shuffle your library less in commander games is kind of a plus in my book.)
But mostly, yeah... all of the cards you mentioned could have easily been on the list.

My personal auto include for ramping in any green deck is Skyshroud Claim because it works very well in multicolored decks where you can tutor for shocklands and put them untapped. It also costs 4 but gives 2 back, making it feel like a 2cmc costed spell sometimes, compared to Cultivate/Kodama which cost 3 and give none back during that turn. Also sadly, the must have in all green decks in my opinion would be Gaea's Cradle, but the price is...

Some other Suggestions: Rancor - Goreclaw, terror of Qal Sisma - Rhiskar's Expertise - Terastodon (removes 3 planeswalkers for 8 mana) - Burgeoning - Lurking Pedators - Sylvan Library - Season's Past - Constant Mists - Berserk - The great Aurora - See the Unwritten.
Secret Bonus suggestion for green decks with good mana ramp (even mono) - Void Winnower. It was won me countless games, especially when i can just pay 11 by turn 5 or cheat it into the battlefield even earlier.
I have only had and maintained 1 single edh deck since the beginning and that's Omnath Locus of Mana. I always like to check the newest sets for new toys for my omnath.
The reason for only 1 deck is mostly because I'm a very casual player that can't build decks to save my life other than braindead mono green which is just big creatures and so on. That and monetary reasons. Although I'm trying to build the 25€ sen triplets deck but I'm stuck on the fact that sen triplets itself is another 25

Wow, I was way off. Still, at least I've got some great cards to consider for my deck!
Also, going to throw out Guardian Project as a consideration. Given that Commander's a singleton format, it's basically a 4 CMC enchantment that draws a card whenever you play a creature, and that's pretty damn good.
And I do like Genesis, as a decent alternative to Eternal Witness. You do need to get it into the graveyard, but once there it gives you value all day long.

My honorable mentions would be Once Upon a Time, Growing Rites of Itlamoc, and perhaps even the OG Planeswalker, Garruk Wildspeaker. I'd say Cultivate and Kodama Reach are tied for #3 and Nature's Lore is the true #2. A ramp spell and a better ramp spell, that's green on green.
But honestly, instead of picking two ramp spells, I'd just pick Nature's Lore for number 3 and probably add Crop Rotation in number 2. Green has good tutors and in commander tutoring is crucial. Wordly Tutor and Crop Rotation are green's must haves.

I cannot imagine that they can't at the very least put in the effort to ship these products to Brazil in some way or another. Not selling these products to LGS's is a huge mistake. They keep saying that some products are not for everybody, and I totally agree, but being from Brazil and not being able to acquire them from normal means just feels like I don't even deserve these products.
