Merry Christmas, Jerry! That first guy was the textbook illustration of someone who doesn't buy a Harley because he wants to ride it, but instead bought a Harley because he wants everyone to know that he owns a Harley. For contrast, the guy on the Honda is the kind of trainee you dream about -- he knows that he doesn't know it all, he's paying attention to what he's told, and he's HAVING FUN learning.
I downloaded the Ride like a Pro V video the other day to help me master my first cruiser. For any of you on the fence, it’s the best 20 bucks you can spend on your bike. After one afternoon I went from taking up the whole street trying to keep the bike straight up while turning to leaning that sucker over and feeling confidient while doing it. Thanks for the videos Jerry, now come out to Northern California!
That guy on the vtx. I rode one of those for many years. He seemed to have a good grasp on how to handle that bike. Thanks for the video Jerry. Merry Christmas
Gary in Michigan is great! First time with him in probably 2009 I was one of the few left to follow the leader. Took a few tries but with his help the figure 8 ended up pretty fun! He came to Ohio a few years back, I wasn't riding as much as I used to but brought my daughter and her husband along. They were the only two left standing at the end to follow Gary which made me feel better as I understood now how my dad felt about me riding. Of note from both of them I have been to. I can't understate how important it is to have at least some basic riding skills before attending. One gentleman had a Honda bagger, first bike, and he had a total fear of even making a right hand turn. Love your training and recommend it to all!
I lived in Ft Lauderdale teaching scuba diving in the late 80s and early 90s and Christmas Eve on year was 17 degrees. Snowed for a few minutes too. Love your video.
Merry Christmas Jerry, high of 70 degrees today in Vegas, rode to work today. That was the best Christmas present I could have asked for, what a wonderful day it was!
Excellent! I always appreciate what you do for the motorcycle community! You're an excellent instructor and give great advice. Keep up the great work and I'll keep practicing!
I consider myself a hardcore rider. I will ride in winter as long as there's no snow or ice on the road. The distance also depends on the temperature. 32 degrees, sunny, clear roads could be a 100 mile ride.with a stop for lunch or coffee. My FLHTC has a heated seat and I have so many gloves, rain suits, and sweaters that my tour pack looks like a packed suitcase.. I was having a conversation with a salesman at Mississauga Harley in Toronto and your name came up. Joe the salesman tells me he's an instructor of your courses. When I told him that I have Ride like a Pro the conversation immediately changed to talking technique based on Ride like a Pro. "Keep power to that back wheel or you're going down, look farther ahead, don't ride on instinct" etc. I have over 55 years of what I thought was experience until Ride like a Pro. Yes you can teach an old dog new tricks I am living proof of it.
Merry Christmas Jerry to you and family. All the best in the new year. Made me feel a bit better seeing you had icecles in Florida but I still take your weather over ours in Fort Erie Ontario Canada
Merry Christmas you and your wife, season"s greetings from Prince George B.C. Canada where -30 ~ -40 (with the wind chill is a reality). Thank You for all the trips, tricks and skills you share on every video you post, they have helped me improve my riding skills ( I have shared lots of your posts with all my rider friends ). One day, I may manage to get down your way to take one of your courses. Keep up the great work Sir, keeping folks safe on the road is very beneficial for riders and those considering riding. You do a great job! Cheers (alcohol free of course, until the keys are hung up!)
merry christmas Jerry and family!!! holy shit that guy on the red street glide special was REALLY GOOD he did it so fast!!! i wish i could come down and get some lessons from you!😪
What is the difficulty with the VTX? I have the 1300 and have found no difficulty at low speeds. I love riding fast and slow. Love being able to balance, keeping it straight coasting to a stop. Challenge myself to keep legs up as long as possible.

The VTX is a pretty nimble bike, my problem with my 08 T is constantly scraping the floor boards.

As someone who owned a VTX 1800, that is truly impressive!

I'm glad to help but I don't have a Ride Like a Pro instructor or school in Canada.

Keed the RRR"s up.
Can these be done on a super sport?
Only if it has 2 wheels. One in the front and one in the back.
Do you show these students how to pick up the wheel after the fall? First guy looked like was doing it all wrong.
Yes I do.
Oldy Cops don't yell, they just get your attention. LOL
Turn your head!!!
I was wondering if you’ve ever had to tell someone that riding isn’t for them because of how they ride?
Yes, I have.
So in the mind ur thinking ok slow speed is key but in reality its not
Yelling🤣🤣. Everyone is so sensitive. YOU HURT MY FEELINGS….
