Can you place a second symbol on top/next to another symbol or will it be replaced every time?

haven't tried overlapping multiple symbols. But I don't think there's an option to add another symbol. You can do for sure is having everything into one dynamic symbol. again I don't know if dynamic symbol could contain another symbol inside. So give it a try and let me know of symbol inception works.

Yes. Dynamic symbol can be edited by double clicking on them.

In "Map Art" window from 3D Extruded & Bevel Options window,
There is a check box saying "Invisible Geometry". Check ✅ that box so you will see only artwork and geometry will stay invisible.
