That simple trick with expanding the gradient box for color swatches blew my mind. The rest of the tutorial was fantastic but that particular trick just saved me so much time on so many projects, thank you thank you thank you!!
I can't believe how advanced illustrator has become. I have used it from 1.0, it's insane now what you can come up with. I had to use filters to do some of this but not quite as well.
Thanks for this tutorial...I can use some of it for laser cutting layer art. I wish you could have given some verbal instructions on what you were doing...hard to follow all your moves. But overall it was very good.
Thanks for this tutorial. I have little experience in illustrator and this will help me to draw some elements of an indie game project that I am doing.
can you explain on 4:23, it looks you locked it, and then random click on artboard and suddenly the lines appearing again? why i cant do that? if i skip the locking, and go to pathfinder, it didnt give me white cut.
I made this last night! Came out really cool. Only question is even when i used clipping mask in the last it did remove all the extra work outside the artboard but was still showing up when i exported in .jpeg. I then used save for web option because then we can clip to artboard. But how do i use just clipping mask and get rid of everything else outside of artboard? i've had this problem before too. please answer.
Amazing tutorial. Thank you💕 where can I get a fish symbol? If I'll start draw fish, it's take me more time. Can give me advice? 😸 I have to draw it by myself? 👀
great tutorial. but when I did the drop shadow (which took forever to load...why?), my shadows did not end up as deep as yours. all my measures are the same. is that the x and y offset? what should i do?
Thanks Kevin0kura I think Your artboard size is big. So minimize your artboard size. My artboard size is 8x8inch, If you follow this size ratio then your artwork will be perfect.
Nice video, Brilliant work....!!! But I want to know how and from where did you get the fish outline...??? And if you have made it in Illustrator itself tell me how. Please tell me fast I am stuck there. Thank You.
Hi, I'm glad that my video is helpful to you. Regarding your query, I had previously drawn the fish outline. Whenever it was required I used it, like in minute 16:12 Keep following for more.
Honestly, its pretty easy if you screenshot it on your computer and then trace it with the pen tool. I have a Mac so to screenshot it I used command+shift+4 and selected the area of the fish on the video. Hope that helps!
The video was very nice but sir as you mention about the tutorial it was very hard to understand the tutorial... It was just like, that you were making a design for your own. It would be better if you mention the tools while drawing, it must be define to make the viewer understand ...
extremely slow, feels like you wasn't sure before hand what you are about to do at every step, agreed with anthony steele for music and yes, totally agree with peter for shadow to fall differently on each layer, please respond
after you've done everything in the video, export the artwork as a png then move to photoshop create a new layer above the artwork, convert it to a smart object then apply filter called noise, adjust its settings until you're happy with the result. lastly reduce the opacity of the smart object layer and voila you're done.
Honestly, I LOVE the artwork, but being that it's a tutorial, it's nearly impossible to follow along without prompts or narration. You don't offer instructions for anything. In the future perhaps you can offer some guidance in your videos.
to be honest making a video with a good quality audio is alot harder than making a video without it, and most of the internet don't mind it these days, buy if you are having trouble, then I think you should follow some beginners tutorials first, to get your creative feet wet.
Something that would help when you do make captions would be to place the text near your cursor. My screen is large enough (poor me, right?) that I often can't see them both at the same, so I can either choose to watch what you're doing, or read the text, but it would be nice to be able to do both. I loved the video, very cool effect!!
Nice tutorial with creativity, but you need more practice as for how to expand your gradients, when need to use ctrl+y to view outline preview for joint paths or find your fish and also know about average options for the path to make your rectangle shape clean without clipping mask. Sorry for say these. Ok keep practicing and give us more creative work. Thanks
hey rebuild your logo its not so good sorry for the nagative compliment but for your benifet in first inpration it dosent look like a claw from other reseons your logo is just too good :) hope you dont feel this comment is making fun of you I am just giving my opinion THANK YOU

Making swatches from gradient; that sold me. Thanks
Thanks for lovely tutorial
21minutes of that music, thank god for mute. good tutorial though
Thanks ^_^
Very nice sharing
The expanding gradient box trick is brilliant. But can it be replaced simply with an outward Off set path, though?
I usually do acid and make these. However, I listen to better music when I do it. Fun video though!
Thank You Very Much I Really Plan On Being An Upcoming Producer??
i love it
Thank you :) @Kuvvat Ashyrov
Great tut but would have really appreciate it if there was voice explaining steps. Thanks for the effort.
Wow, thanks for this good tuto !
Thanku you 😍 i really appreciate it.

People are like "that is so fast" which i guess are joking but to these that arent, it's called the power of jumpcuts.
... I made just similar one... Thanks for lovely tutorial❤
Thanku you 😍 i really appreciate it.

I feel pretty, and witty, and sooo gay....
nice
Great! But some shortcut keys didn't show, and sometimes I can't see which key you press. Could you add some supplementary information? Thanks~
to really sell the effect of depth, the shadow of the dolphins should fall differently depending on the layer it lands on. how would you achieve that?
Super cool work mate
Thanku you 😍 i really appreciate it.
Can u just zoom the buttons u click and color codes too that will be helpful for everyone one
Thanks a lot
this type design was trend in 2019
Yeah! it's true Graphic Design Studio.
I learn something today
Thanks :)
No, thank YOU! That's really helpful to me.
I'm glad :) that my video is helpful to you.
Good job! How'd you manage to cut off the excess content out of artboard at last? Was that clipping mask? I didn't understand that.
select all layers, ctrl+7?
Yup it is clipping mask!
@@markyanagisawa1723 thanks, exact answer i was looking for!
Amazing tutorial. Thank you💕

great tutorial.

thank you, that makes sense. i believe my artboard was 1080×1350pt

Good answer.
you could have used the offset path tool easier andfaster i wonder what is the difference
The video was very nice but sir as you mention about the tutorial it was very hard to understand the tutorial...
It was just like, that you were making a design for your own. It would be better if you mention the tools while drawing, it must be define to make the viewer understand ...
Good job, but you can do this with easy way
Isn't it more practical to do this with blending modes?
googd
extremely slow, feels like you wasn't sure before hand what you are about to do at every step, agreed with anthony steele for music and yes, totally agree with peter for shadow to fall differently on each layer, please respond
can I do this in corel draw?
Hi! Does anybody know how to add "thickness effect" for such kind of "paper layers"? Thanks.
after you've done everything in the video, export the artwork as a png then move to photoshop
create a new layer above the artwork, convert it to a smart object then apply filter called noise, adjust its settings until you're happy with the result.
lastly reduce the opacity of the smart object layer and voila you're done.
hi i have problem with drop shadow, when i select on drop shadow illus tell me "is not responding"
Hi @ehsan asgari I think your File(Page size) is too big, reduce your page size than try to drop shadow. My file size is 6x6inch.
Much prefer instructions via voice than music, which drove me nuts.
Honestly, I LOVE the artwork, but being that it's a tutorial, it's nearly impossible to follow along without prompts or narration. You don't offer instructions for anything. In the future perhaps you can offer some guidance in your videos.

just some text captions would be a more helpful I think, to see what tool you are clicking better without having to go full screen
Something that would help when you do make captions would be to place the text near your cursor. Thanks Kristen Franks, thanks for the support :)
long winded way to do this! yes the video to the music too much, feels like am at play school
Sorry 😐 but thanks for the reply 🙏🏼

the thumbnail and end result is not same though
Sorry bro, but and result and thumbnail is same.
no vector (((
sad that the thumbnails for your other videos legit hide ALL your final result at the end of the video
The music makes me aggressive
hahaha... this is good or bad for you.
too difficult without explaination
What is this? a mime? Why can't you explain each step with words??
Can you give me this source file?
Thank you!
