- A COSY GERMAN OKTOBERFEST FOR TWO & A HOME UPDATE// Hello everyone, So many keep asking us if we have a little update regarding our renovation? Yes we do as we share a bit more in today's video.
September is also month of the Oktoberfest in Munich (which doesn't take place in 2021 unfortunately). Since we have been quite busy, we are sharing a cosy German Oktoberfest here in our kitchen. We're making Weisswürste with a yummy carrot salad and Joerg shares some great German beers. Enjoy.xx

RECIPE CARROT SALAD:
Ingredients
400g carotts
1tbsp. honey
1/2 lemon juice
Vinaigrette:
Oil
100ml water
tsp salt
a bit of vinegar
Method
Peel the carrots and wash them. Add the lemon and honey.
Add the oil and vinaigrette. Set aside for about 20-30 minutes.

Oktoberfest is when I celebrate my German Ancestry. Just today my son drove me across St. Petersburg, FL to my favorite bakery, Cafe Mozart where I bought soft pretzels, apple strudel, a package of White sausages as you showed and a slice of cheesecake for my son.
This was a lighthearted , fun video, full of a sense of humor and lovely couple exchanges.
You enjoy life together, that's what matters most.
And we your viewers have a better day because of your efforts to film parts of your nice life in England!
But I know wherever you live, you will be happy together.

Hi Kirsten and Jöerg, I love your inset wardrobe. Beautiful and excellent use of space. Your fabrics and wall papers are beautiful,as always. I completely love Weiswürst!!! We cooked it the same way but we ate the skin also in the U.S. I've never had carrot salad; it looks wonderful! I just saw some Weisswürst at the store 2 days ago and now I wish I had bought it! I love pretzels and rarely drink beer, but when I do, I like dunkles Bier! Altes. Danke Schöen!

I love the amazing fabrics (wallpapiers or tissues etc) they have in the UK. They are so georgious and so hard to find here in Germany. I ordered some of them in the past without problems. But nowadays it is very difficult to order fabrics from the UK because of the Brexit. That is a really pity for me and a lot of Brit- Lovers as well. I hope you are well and you both enjoy your Life.

I make carrot salad with apples, then throw in a handful of raisins. The weisswurst looks positively anemic. I think I'd have to brown them in a frying pan, rather than in boiling water. The carpenter, who built your wardrobe is very skilled. Can't wait to see the finished room and I'm glad you take your time to be sure of what you truly want in decor.
No, you should never fry Weisswürste, it's veal that's why they look like that. They are ALWAYS cooked in water. Trust us, we grew up with this.

Your videos are super relaxing ! It’s hard to find videos that don’t give information overload. The way you guys speak is nice and soft and lovely. As a highly sensitive person I find most people’s voices to be loud and harsh so it’s rare I can enjoy a calm person’s soft tone. I love your day in the life videos as I can imagine eating all the yummy food and just relaxing with you guys !

That mustard looks so interesting!! Not even like mustard. I don’t like sausages and I don’t drink alcohol … but I am ALL ABOUT German pretzels! 🥨 I also love that carrot salad. I could be 100% happy with a pretzel, that salad, and a nice hunk of German cheese!!!

Even in the U.S., the days of hiring a designer for access are almost over. You can buy designer fabrics and trims online.
Best to hire a designer for design rather than access to stuff.
