Inspired by 'What's in my bag' and the 'In the bag'-episodes on RUclips and because we actually get a lot of questions about it, Joerg and I thought it would be fun to film a video and show you what we carry in our every day bags. We so enjoyed filming this video and hope you like it. Much love, Kirsten & Joerg xx
P.S. We need to keep our things in our bags to a minimum as we carry a lot of camera gear with us and when we're out and about filming all day long, it simply gets too much. We might change things up depending on the weather of course. The second bag Joerg uses is a camera bag from ONA.

My husband does the same thing when I can't find things and Joerg is correct. It's all about patience. I don't have much and my husband has tons! Both of you have very practical things in your bags. Kirsten, I love your glasses!

It's a beautiful sunny day here in Cape Coral Florida. Blue skies and even the wind dancing! I always look for the wind when it's sunny, because if you don't have winds, then the temperature is higher in the sun. There's lots of canals in Cape Coral that leads out to the Gulf of Mexico and that's why I think we get nice winds. We were living in Las Vegas, but we thought we would come and check out Florida.
Kristen, we love your beautiful dresses! We can't wear pleats or gatherings in our dresses or skirts, but it looks gorgeous on you, but must say, I don't believe in mixing flowers and plaids in clothing. If it's a skirt and blouse and the top is floral or plaid, then the skirt should be plain and vice versa. If the skirt is floral or plaid, then the blouse should be a plain blouse. If you mix the patterns, as my mother says, you will look like a Christmas tree! Also, about lipsticks. A few years ago, I loved lipstick, but then I noticed whenever my husband kissed me, he would wipe his mouth on his hand, but I didn't think anything of it until one day I realized, there was lipstick on his mouth! Then I asked him, is that why you wipe your mouth when you kiss me? With a big smile on his face, he said look at all this lipstick on my hand! And he said, it's still on my mouth!😊 So literally, I gave up lipstick five years ago and I only use chapstick that has very light color in it. Actually the fashion right now is bare lipstick, color tones of lipstick that's close to your complexion. It's much more attractive to men because I literally found out, men don't like lipstick, women are the ones that love lipstick. Also about the patterns in your husband's shirts. I realized a few years ago, when we were going out, my husband's shirts was clashing with what I wear, so we made the decision when we go out together, he will wear handsome plain shirts so he doesn't clash with my colors on my clothing. So I literally when to some great thrift stores and found name brand shirts like Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, etc. So he felt well dressed as well, but only with a tiny emblem so he doesn't clash with my clothing that was floral or stripped design. When he went shopping, he can wear anything he wants, even overalls! Then we don't look like two Christmas trees coming with all different patterns! My husband has a great sense of humor too, so we laugh at everything!
My daughter and I are making homemade jelly today, so we're sending you this message in between doing our chores! We have a story to tell you next time about a place near to Germany!💐
How courageous to show us what's in your bags. I never would have asked but it's a fun video. Mine is a lot like your Kirsten... chaotic, as you say. I can never find anything in it even though it's all there. UGH!
What an interesting video! When we traded in France my husbands bag strap broke. We searched high and low and finally found a soft attaché type with a cross body strap. It was made very well and it really comes in handy! ! My bag is cavernous. In the lady you don’t want to be behind in the grocery store! I definitely need to sort myself! I love Dior lipstick too! What a treat! And when you take the drone I guess it needs a carrying bag? Thank you

We made an assumptions video last year but it was a one off I‘m afraid; as people can be very rude we won‘t be doing it again.

‘Can’t get lost, 3 compartments’… but we do Joerg! I’m like Kirsten……don’t find what I’m looking for until I turn bag upside down. Crazy!! Lovely to have an organized, practical man about the house. Love Kirstens expressions as she watches Joerg…..can’ get enough of the two of you!❤️
Fascinating video. My husband and sons carry bags, or knapsacks, most of the time too. One of my boys is an artist so, in his bag, he carries a little portable easel with a palette & paint, sketchbooks, and other art supplies. They all carry iPad tablets, wallets, hats, keys, notebooks, pens, 'emergency rations' (energy bars/snacks), water bottles etc... My bag is a 'black hole'. It contains all the usual girly stuff, an e-reader, a small umbrella, a change purse, 2 wallets (one for cards and cash and another for ID and important papers), glasses, masks, sanitizer, crazy glue, folding brush/comb, baby-wipes, tissues, a bag of reusable shopping bags, medication, keys, a little Swiss army knife, memory sticks, and flash drives, receipts, wrappers and assorted bits of trash etc... I love, love, love Joerg's bag!! Thank you so much for sharing this entertaining peek into your personal lives.
thanks for showing us what is in your bag! I think it depends on the area where men live of who carries bags. I live 10 minutes from a hip city (where you see men carrying bags) -- but my rural town you would never see that. Now, I want a BAG like Joerg's! LOL
You're so welcome! To be honest, we never paid attention to that, Joerg has been using bags for as long as I known him and we did move around (rural and city lol).

Re: cash - after a bad experience I always try to carry a couple of notes separate to my handbag. I worked as an administrator in labs at a university, one day someone caused an explosion (small, only one person with very minor injury) which released noxious gases. I was at my desk when the fire alarm went off, so was able to grab my handbag, but the lab people had to leave without theirs. The fire service wouldn't allow people back in for the rest of the day, so I and the few other people who had our bags had to dole out cash just so that colleagues could get buses/trains home! It determined me to generally try to have some separate cash.
Oh no, what a terrible experience. Thanks for sharing, I often have a bit more in my bag but usually not more than 50 quid which should be enough for an emergency.

My grandmother (when she was alive) WOULD NOT GIVE HER LAST PENNY! I had no idea that was a German thing and yes she was German :)
Pennies were worth a lot more in the old days.
My mother had a German father, if she gave purses/wallets as gifts she always put a penny in them...I thought it was for luck..
A Lucky penny, but it may have been something from her German heritage. Idk!
I enjoyed this, and the German word for tissue was soooo funny to my American ears. I also love hats. I started to wear hats, and I live in a small American Town, oh the looks. I just started collecting hats and wearing them. What are your favorite hats?

I love both of your bags! I am curious as to what music is on Joerg's iPod. And would you believe that I have so much in common with Kirsten... in clothes, hairstyle (bangs!) and decor...and I am part German. And funny thing is, I've never broken a bone...except my nose, twice! Such a funny coincidence 😁
I love it!!! When I met my dear husband, he had a mountain of receipts on his desk. All crumbled up and some were 3-4 yrs old. I was shocked thinking he was a messy man, but he wasn't! He just needs to save receipts! He still does lol! I love this video, but you each need to carry matching lip balms and hand lotions inside your bags! You are our favorite couple and we send you big hugs from Texas and big love!
Thanks so much! We need to be careful not to carry too much as I mostly film with 2 cameras and Joerg carries our cameras and mostly our gimbal with another camera (plus drone), it simply gets too much when we film and walk around all day long you know.

Hahah yes, Joerg usually only carries a backpack when we go for a very long walk or a hike.

People just forget there are men who do carry bags: hence, Messenger Bags, then Journalists carry bags for their equipment.

My son always carries a large first aid kit in his rucksack after his training in cadets. On our latest walk he was most disappointed that it didn't rain because he was hopeful I'd have to wear his emergency poncho 😂

4 a.m. and watching this adorable 'What's in your bag'. I love to wear pretty backpacks as when I'm shopping I won't misplace it or leave it in a cart, etc. My husband would say I could live a week with what is in my backpack. Pretty close to truth. But whenever any one needs something - a bandage or measuring tape, etc. I would have it for them. My daughter just carries her her credit card and license in her pocket and doesn't like to carry a bag. Once at a wedding shower they played a game "What's in Your bag" and they would ask for certain things some weird and some very sensible. It was amazing to see the wide range of objects in people's bags. Enjoyed this very much and your back and forth! And as so many mention: You two are just so adorable!
Hallo ihr Zwei! Das war ja eine gute Idee 👍🏻. Ich finde es immer interessant, was andere so in ihren Taschen mit sich rumtragen 😊 und musste schmunzeln, weil es mit unseren Taschen doch ähnlich ist 😂( vor allem der Lippenstift). Finde es sehr praktisch, dass man in GB so viel mit Karte bezahlen kann und deshalb wenig Bargeld braucht. Grüße aus Köln von Regina & Jörg

I am an avid reader and always have been. I have a Kindle because my space is limited and the only books I have are antique or reference. I take my Kindle everywhere. I would rather lose my mobile phone than my Kindle.

Kirsten, I also never find anything in my bag. Once I couldn't find my car keys, even after emptying the bag. Went to security etc. Eventually I found them in my bag 😂. Like Joerg, I also have receipts from ages ago, which I never look at...Glad I am not the only one. And I also carry another foldable bag in my bag in case I buy something unexpected. Enjoyed your video, as always!
This has me thinking of friends Joey Trubbiani, and his man purse. Joerg, maybe you'll start a trend with this RUclips family, which I see is now over 61K, that's great.! Yes, the drone is in its own little bag. We didn't mention that bag as we don't have the drone with us all the time.

I don't know much about computer as you can probably tell so I couldn't mention those bags when I first saw them but I thought of you as you were looking for one at the time. For a man to carry a bag for personal items is only looked on as odd or uncommon in England. That is because certainly for my generation the men give everything except for car keys and wallet to their wives to put in their handbags. When I was at work I had a case for my daily needs just like most men who carry paperwork etc for their jobs. In mainland Europe even lorry drivers carry a manbag so now I don't need a briefcase I use a courier type bag if I am out and about. To me it seemed quite logical especially since I have to carry my medications and insulin pens etc. I'm just glad I don't carry camera equipment or like Joerg I would need two bags. I have the solution to the book problem too. As I have have always had the largest screen size phone available since we've had touch screen phones I download a digital copy of whatever I am reading to my phone as if I am stuck waiting for some reason I can't bear to waste the time so I can carry as many books as I care to. I am afraid I disagree with Seneca, if you know how to use it your life is too short. Only if you waste time does it appear to be too long a life. At seventy one it seems the years have flown by. Also, yes it is interesting what others put in their bags for day trips and short breaks. You might have had an idea that I hadn't thought of. Glad you gave Mozart a mention as he is probably my favourite composer. Amazing the volume of work he packed into his short life.
Joerg you are very organized, that’s a good thing. Kirsten you don’t have a lot in your bag. I like your bag. Maybe you should have a small cosmetic bag to put your beauty items. It’s just an idea.😊 until your other videos. ❤
Just to tell you that I am so pleased to have found your channel,I love all your vlogs. I have very happy memories of Germany… my husband and I spent several years in north western Germany ,as an army family…lovely days way back in the 1970s.

I allways have lots in mine i carry needle and cotton .plasters .tisues .face masks .paracetamol .even sisors .a little fidget toys for kerp the kids good hubby says every thing except the kitchen sink

Your bags are both quite nice. I think it depends on where you live in the world with men carrying bags. I’ve always lived in major cities in the US and have never known any man to carry a bag. Only backpacks for work to carry their laptop. It’s very frowned upon for men to carry a bag and those that do are seen as a certain way here.

I was never permitted to go into my moms purse when I was growing up... not even for a piece of gum...she felt it was her private space and I respect that. Althoug I let my kids go into my bag. Funny how things were and perhaps still are. Thanks for sharing but I felt like I was intruding....I guess when your raised a certain way it sticks a bit with you. Sending you much love! ❤

I had to laugh about the Joerg finds the things in my bag I don't situation because we made the same experience recently. I got nervous looking for something which was obviously NOT in there and he grabbed my bag, pulled it right away out and said he will never understand why women don't find the things in her bags ... Well ... Men and women are definitely different. But WE find things in the refrigerator they DON'T. Ha!
