    Some people have a knack for teaching and explaining; for creating tutorials. Some people don’t.
    You actually do, and do an outstanding job. Thanks.

      I'm so thankful for this tutorial as well. I just picked up the MPC Key 37 which IS the MPC ONE+, with a keyboard. I've been all over the place looking for tutorials for the Key 37, but I was searching for wrong thing. Instead, I searched for MPC ONE+ tutorials and voila, however, this video was the most thoroughly explained one out there. It was explained in a very certain way that I could understand, as-well-as detailed. This guy definitely had a knack and is awesome at it.

    Sample edit and program edit is the most confusing part of the MPC. Nothing about the MPC is intuitive, but once you learn it, it's an amazing system. This video is great for beginers and intermediate users alike

    New to the MPC world and just got an MPC One+ last week. Not knocking other tutorials out there because they are good. But you have a way of breaking things down to the amoeba in a concise way, which is what I needed. You helped me resolve an issue that was driving me crazy. Excellent teacher. I feel way more comfortable using it after watching this. You have a new follower. Appreciate you. 👊🏿

    Before I got my MPC my brother gave me the MPC 2 software. I used keys to pads to play the typing keys on my MacBook like 16 MPC pads . I say it was easy to figure out less than 10 minutes of me using MPC software for the first time in my life I put together drum patterns, instruments and had a beat from scratch going. Everything else was all down hill from there way easier than when I first use FL studios lol FL was 10x harder. MPC software everything is in your face if you have common sense and can read you can figure it out . When I got my MPC live 2 I already knew how to use it because it was like the software. The software is designed sort of like a digital MPC .

  • @folkerugge4990
    @folkerugge4990 2 месяца назад

    Extremely helpful video for beginners like me! Thank you so much!
    I noticed, that somewhere around the first third (I'm not quite sure where exactly) you happen to create en midi program to your track - by accident it seems. Right next you make sure to delete that program, because it was considered a mistake. I never thought it would be actually "created" and take up space by just swiching program type on the "sequence-bar"...
    Is that true or did I misunderstand?
    One other realted question:
    Is there a place to get an overview of the whole project and all that's included - in one view (very important!) Maybe in the MPC software on the PC...(?)
    Thanks again for sharing your greate knowledge and experience 🙂

    Are the maschine and mpc workflows super different? And if which so which do you prefer

    • @nervouscooks
      @nervouscooks  6 месяцев назад

      I think there are definite similarities but I would say the Maschine is easier to get going with. I actually love the MPC now I understand it but at first I wasn’t crazy about it. I would say the MPC feels more complex but also a little more capable. It sort of does everything and I definitely found a few limitations on the Maschine. Ultimately though it comes down to personal preference. If you’re thinking of buying I’d definitely recommend finding a local retailer and getting hands on with both before parting with any cash. My opinion is just from my experience and needs but you might want something totally different. 👍🙂

      @@nervouscookswhat limitations do you see in the maschine?

    • @nervouscooks
      @nervouscooks  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@comparisonisthethiefofjoy9452 nothing major but the MPC just gives you more options. You can auto sample, easy to make samples mono which is an odd thing the Maschine doesn’t do. You can layer up to four samples each with their own effects and offset the sample layers to play at different times. It’s just a device that for everything I’ve needed so far it has delivered. I’m sure it has its flaws though. They all do. I totally love the Maschine too and the pads on those are definitely the best. 🙂

  • @user-qe2xi1tb8v

    Do you feel that the mpc is “better” for sampling than the machine ? And if so why

    • @nervouscooks
      @nervouscooks  6 месяцев назад

      I wouldn’t say better I think they both have an easy time sampling and chopping. I think the MPC has a few more features because of its complexity with layers and it does some cool stuff with extending tails on sample chops etc. I’m firmly in love with my MPC but honestly if you’re good at sampling then the Maschine is great too. 👍
