    I’m not a senior but I greatly appreciated your video. I’m new to Zorin OS and so far I’m really impressed. Many Linux distros are very powerful and customisable but often become hard to manage. Zorin OS might not have the latest versions of everything but the system so far is incredibly intuitive and stable. I especially love the flatpaks, they seem to agree more with my pc.

    So far. Of the many distros I've tested zorin passed my test on gaming. 😂
    Easy fix and assistance on exe installation.

    I have been looking for a decent magnifier tool like a windows zoomit tool to momentarily zoom the whole desktop, or zoom into YT video's to read small print that often is hard to see, but only 2 Linux tools I found but can't seem to get them to work for me ?

      Hello, on Zorin 17 GNOME , try holding super (also known as start Key) Plus Alt Plus 8 or (super+alt+8) to Zoom the whole desktop.
      Also you can try Control + + , or what I use to zoom inside of a WEB Browser or the File Manager ... using a regular computer mouse with scroll wheel, is to Hold down the Control key and scroll using mouse scroll wheel to enlarge and shrink text or icons. Regards, t

      All are good choices, but since you asked I would lean towards Mint for all the items on your list. Regards, t

    does this OS support Multi Monitor Display ? that is Mirror or Extension options ?

    • @linuxforseniors
      @linuxforseniors  10 дней назад

      I do believe. However I personally use only single monitors, my personal office one is a large 43 inch, so I have no need of duel, I still personally feel when you use duel monitors you are using more hardware resources. Regards, t

    I don't like the tiny fonts in the menu. Can the font size be increased?

      You can increase font sizes, adjust screen resolution, or change themes and icon sets , I have videos on most of that in my library. Regards, t

    I cannot install dracula custom themes. after pasting it in .themes folder, it never appears.

    • @linuxforseniors
      @linuxforseniors  5 месяцев назад

      I downloaded a Dracula theme by EliverLara from the gnome-look web site clicked >GTK3/4 Theme and looked and downloaded the "drackula.tar.xz". I then manually uncompressed it, then created a ".themes" folder in users home directory and pasted the Uncompressed folder it extracted from theme . Then Zorin Menu>Zorin Appearance>Other>Applications and selected the theme without issue. This is the Non Pro version of Zorin17 GNOME. As a side note, Icon sets need to go in ".icons" not ".themes" ...if this was a icon sets and not theme.
      The .themes and .icons folder can be created manually and are hidden under normal use, use (Ctrl+h) in file manager to display hidden files & folders. Not sure what other advice I can give. Regards, t

    I'm a 69 Year Old Knucklehead. I have a computer that I built. Its got five separate drives. My nagging problem is that not all Distros use their name in the Boot Menu. Most Ubuntu derivatives only list "Ubuntu" - even though they may be Debian, Mint, MX.... or any of the others. I wish someone could tell me a work around for this dilema.

      This one is not an easy task and if done wrong can leave your system unusable , since the boot loader files can be slightly different on some distributions, the file could be /boot/grub or GRUB grand unified boot loader or link . This is not an easy undertaken task to edit, also if you do not have experience looking at the lines of code, it can leave your system Unbootable. However the boot files edit, You could lookup the procedure(s) on line . Best of Luck, t

      Im not sure what you are asking. Type on desktop? This sounds like what a Plasma desktop via Krunner does, or maybe this is a different matter?
