Even if you go the wrong way during independent driving or following road signs as long as you do it safely surely they won’t fail you for that?
Hello Will, My examiner took me through this route, but I failed to follow the road signs towards M5. Please can you explain all the challenging things on this route please?
Hi, sorry for not replying sooner. I'm not great with social media. The signs for the M5 start by Henbury leisure centre. Left at the mini R/B. You follow this road over the bumps, over the bridge and past the rugby club until you come to the 50 mph, Cribbs Causeway R/B. Here you go straight on. This is a 50 mph dual carriageway, the signs you'll be asked to follow now are for Filton, which is right, 2nd exit at the next R/B. It's only 40 mph down here. You'll then switch back to following signs for the M5. Which is left at the large traffic light controlled R/B. I think this next bit is the tricky section. You'll then be asked to follow signs for Bristol. Keep to the left. When the new lane forms on your left, get in it. A new sign shows Bristol off to the left with an arrow pointing up and diagonally off to the left. It's a gentle left turn (5:03 time stamp) Then very suddenly it's the end of the road. The give way signs and markings are here to warn you that traffic (potentially high speed traffic) is coming from your right. When it's clear, emerge. Head to the next R/B and it's straight across, left 1st exit at the next and your back in Henbury at the Crow Lane R/B.
