Did you poison the still in that run by chance? I went through the whole mission Ghost/Clean Hands, but those two still put him down without mercy. The only "high chaos" action I believe I did was poisoning the still.
@@danielthompson392 Long time ago so I don’t quite remember. But I’m pretty sure doing that boosted into high chaos. Can’t say for certain. Some of the optional objectives do raise/lower chaos. Also keep in mind if you do something like knock someone out and they fall and die that counts as a kill. High Chaos = More dead bodies = More rats = More plague = More drastic measures and harsher attitudes.

@@ruzer391 My first playthrough I did low chaos and it was much different. The guy said they had to end him and they didn’t want to but he insisted. Not sure what causes it. I know I didn’t poison anyone and didn’t kill anyone.

It's sad cuz in the low chaos he admits he dose I believe and the two give him a mercy kill. In a more nicer way. As I'm pretty sure in low chaos their after Corvo but also focusing on the sickness. But in high chaos, all attention is on killing Corvo. And hardly any attention toward the plague. So when that guy got the plague, the two were accusing him of trying to spread it
@@eurosalamandernot just thia, some other stuff too. In high chaos, a load of wanted posters that say Wanted Corvo are everywhere. Even covering up old wanted posters and ads. Some dialogue changes between characters as well
@redpandafirefox9434 the best part is the beginning of the end tbh. (Spoiler ahead) Samuel admitting that corvo isn't much better than the rest of the rot. It was such an eye opener and I knew I had to replay low chaos. (Which I did, also ghost.. was fun honestly.) 😅
you can do a similar thing with captain curnow in campbells secret chamber by turning off the music when camble is about to stab curnow. Curnow turns around and kills campbell and it doesn't count as your kill so you can do it on a clean hands run lol
@@SKTrims I was gonna do the non lethal when I found it because I was going for clean hands, but then I found out that this doesn't count as your kill, so it counts towards clean hands. I decided from that point on the kill every target in the game without it counting as my kill, so I got clean hands despite assassinating every one
You don’t need to save him if you do a good run/low chaos. He tries to hide he has the plague, but it eventually comes out and his buddies try to help him. They say they’ll give him their share of the elixir and that he just needs rest to feel better. Instead the sick dude just asks them to mercy kill him before he turns. And they agree. He then recites the prayer they say and his buddy mercy kills him and finishes the prayer.
The craftsmanship behind this game is ingenious, so much detail to the game, and the whole atmosphere. Literally lived in this game since its original release. Never get bored out of replaying this meticulous masterpiece.
I like how this makes the sick guard look cold af - seeing the opening for survival and instantly executes his downed allies to save himself before even questioning the identity if the shooter
You only get this version of this scene when youre in high chaos which means the city is already out of control with the plague so saving this guy will just make it worse bro wants to see dunwall burn 💀

The low chaos route the guards are more sympathetic and it's a much sadder scene. He essentially had to put him down with respect, but when you go the high chaos route he is indifferent and cruel like here. One of my favorite games ever.

You have to freeze time, so he can't see you attack them, and have to still hide from his view. If you want to guarantee the outcome, do what OP did and allow the final guard to kill the others for you.
i dont think cleanly saving him like this was ever intentionally designed by the devs, only way you can properly do it is exactly like the video did, you gotta stop time, but you wont have acces to totally stop time in this mission without cheats. so yeah, thats why there is no extra voicelines or anything from him of you saving him, unlike the other overseer and his sister that you can save earlier in this mission that have voicelines and stuff thanking you and rewarding you with safe codes and etc

This game means so much to me got me on the road to recovering from depression before I even knew I had depression yeah this game got me through losing my grand dad.
I think my favorite thing they added in Dishonored 2 is Domino where you could have just linked them all and the second one of them died they all would fall -

I'm doing yet another playthrough right now on low chaos. Next time, high chaos. I wish they hadn't ended the series with The Death of The Outsider. I wanted them to go to other Tyvia, Morley, Cullero and other locations. I do hope this game will be resurrected.
You should do a playthrough where Jessimines heart leads your actions. You know how some people feed a dog, or take care of a sick kid. The heart also tells about murders and rapists, and thives. Just a thought.

@@Belgorod_Jedi This is the point, because this scene can be seen at the end of the first assassination mission, in the last location (where the barracks and guards walk with dogs) in the barracks building itself. With low chaos (like mine), a slightly different scene was played there, the sick soldier himself asked to be killed so that he would not infect anyone, and with high chaos, this scene will be played.
