The Conservative party is finished. The eternal soap opera, intrigue, infighting, disloyalty, factionalism. Has cost them power for a generation. Kier and Angela can’t do any worse than what we have. It’s a national embarrassment. Shame on all of those who removed a leader with an 80 seat mandate. Shame on that leader for raving and partying while we were all in lockdown. Scotland is going to leave the U.K. Kier may be an honest man but he has the charisma of a damp rag. He can’t unite the nation and keep Scotland in. Labour need to win back labour heartlands in Scotland to secure the union. I don’t see Kier being able to accomplish that. But they deserve a chance at the keys to number ten we new fresh blood and new ideas.

Can we seriously have a PM in Mr Sunak who's wife is a non-dom and no-one will say anything especially in this cycle of deep financial crisis? He may have a nice smile, expensive suits and nod at the poor by having worn soles, but should such a low bar pass muster? We expected a chancellor of the exchequer to help the poorer become richer, not the richer become richer even beyond the dreams of avarice. The conservatives were not shocked at the latest outgoing PM: they had been salivating at her exchequer's mini-budget (how they must have laughed at the naming of it): cutting services for the poor, cutting taxes for the rich. They are past masters at this and of course are cynical.
It is we the voters who are responsible for this sorry state of affairs: we clearly don't care for probity, for service to the nation. We are satisfied at being laughed at, and ours is now the so-called banana republic we used to scorn in other countries. Those who care are just living in the wrong century, I suppose.

It seems all about a party and not about the mass majority of people of Great Britain whom in fairness should have a voice .Little said about running the country in 12 years of Conservative internal arguments and horrendous bad judgements in voting people into jobs who are incompetent and not fit for purpose to serve themselves let alone anyone else.Shame on us for allowing it. Today Truss has resigned .So yet another search for a Prme Minister yet leaving the incompetent one still in place. Throughout all the arguments distractions , theatrical circus and money distributions. Who was and is running this country.? At any time during the past 12 years we could have owned our energy company and customers could be shareholders now like the Co opetative which works very fairly distributing to all people. The economists feel that the poorest are too heavily taxed and the megga rich are not taxed enough which needs to be addressed. We should have been in renewables years ago. We have Electricity .Solar .Nuclear and Wind .Why do we need gas and fracking spending billion arguing about it In absolute disgraceful behaviour recently in the Chambers all on cameras for the whole world to see.I felt so ashamed of Jason Reese Moggs aided by Cofey .William Wragg was one of the bullied MPs whom stated in the common that he did not agree with fracking and only voted for it to save his Whip and position. He had written a letter also concerning a lady he felt had been scapegoated during the parties. An Investigation into the bullying of MPs is currently in progress.Boris Johnson is currently under scrutiny being Investigated concerning all of his numerous past wrong doings which throughout lockdowns caused the dismantling of our economy and current cost of iving crisis due to careless incompetance bad management and also reason why we are currently on our 3rd PM in one year..! 4th overall or is it 5th.I lose track .Truly shambolic state of affairs. When the Conservative party physically removed Boris they gained new respect from this country in cleaning their house and seeking to provide something new and fit for purpose to reunite the party In upholding true Compassionate conservative views fully fit for purpose to govern a country. It would be a complete disaster to return any of the ones conected to the past wrong doings Clearly did not work otherwise would still be in place. Also why are these people deserving of £115 000 yr pensions for causing misery.Truss is only 40 days or so.How can the Conservative party feel that the state pension of a person working hard all of its life, over 40 years in many cases only amoujts to min £142.00 week whilst a person apointed to a Ministerial job causing Chaotic mess in unresolved massive debt and waste warrants a state pension of £115.000 Yr.This does not make any economic sense does it as David Walker very eloquently said in Chambers .Talentless people putting signatures in boxes utter and complete Democratic disgrace. He was lived! Sunak is part of all the past disfunctioning with Boris still under investigation. Let them go to pastures new.Thousands of people lost their lives threatened by them with heavy fines if they broke their rules whilst they partied in celebration of what they had achieved off the backs of poor British people. Not one of them wearing a mask .Matt Hancock 40 billion of out of date PPI wasted written off whilst people are dying because the NHS does not have enough resourse to properly pay its existing staff and recruit and train more qualified people into the service.Cofey issues deadlines to existing GPS yet where are all these GPS and services to treat all of these people after diagnosis.More importantly where is the money to treat all of these people and dealing with the NHS comma by comma. Is she nuts.? The fact of the matter is that more and more people are leaving the NHS feeling abandoned by an uncaring self serving Government. The time now is for the Conservative party to get its act together. Re set itself and present some New Inovative and progressive politics thoughts feelings and ideas putting the Welfare of the people it serves first and proving someone who can successfully govern a countr stimulating growth and prioritising the people it is employed to serve as its first priority .! Listening to so many true Compassionate Conservatives today. After what has just happened it would be an absolute disaster for the party to allow Boris or Sunak anywhere near Ministerial roles again. They both well earned all the reasons why they are resigned today. Many conservatives have already stepped away and resigned in disbelief and horror and disgust in lack of healthy Compassionate Conservatism.Rewson why they joined the Conservative party passionate to orchestrate a fair sociey that properly cared for the Wefare of all peoples always supporting the weakest .Supertaxing the poorest and penalising pensioners to repay Furlough and fill a Covid Black hole is hardly progressive politics since all the informations currently being release into open press concerning all of this are demonstrating so many decrepencies .For example Boris had already purchased Biotechnologies NOVAVAX March 2020 which only encodes one spike protein not whole Immune system so much safer in use and easier to encode for variants yet no one seems to know what happened to it or who has actualy received it? Every single thing concerning PPI and vaccinations has turned into a cesspit of waste amountting to a covid black hole which to date no one seems to have located where this black hole is.Ths Conservative Government have an oportunity now to stand up to the plate and do the right thing electing a person not only fit to serve but one possessing the Compassionate Heart of conservatism to rebuild the TRUST and RESPECT of the mass majority of British people and crucial UNITING the party. Otherwise it is only protracting present festering mess which will lose them the next Election to a landslide of alternative parties and be written up in History books as the government that created economic instability and depression leaving a legacy of misery with nothing positively resolved or put to right for all its wrong doings. The Conservative party needs to move forward to that better world it has always promise it would deliver. The party needs New candidates to unite and grow it and it needs to present one now fit for the purpose of governing this country .It needs to give number 10 a deep clean with none of the rotten past left in place and it needs to respectfully allow this ountry to breath and have space and respite from constant worry to rebuild itself and Trust In those serving it. Sunak recently visited Markfield and Whitwick. Staunch Conservative seats. People were holding up placards recanting out .Never happened before .Please by the grace of God let it be nothing less than the best that it has to offer this time.!

The Conservative party has made too many mistakes. I like Boris, but it would be an extra nail in the coffin if he is even in the running. He should come back from his holiday to announce his support for a realistically capable new PM. A few other contenders should just support the most obviously capable candidate. If the party is united, this would mean there is not much of a contest, and they will show that they can elect a new leader quickly, and start governing properly. Labour has never won elections in my lifetime. Conservatives have thrown a few away.

I honestly don't know what he's talking about. "Markets" don't blink an eye to all sorts of extreme spending that isn't paid for. Yet a few mild tax cuts and a refusal to raise taxes... and this happens? OK... Had Truss decided to borrow billions for green energy nonsense one suspects there would be no problem. The fix is in.

Boris Johnson was one of the best prime minister our country has ever had.
The remainer starmer was pooing himself at the thought of going against Boris so he and the biased remainer media spent months and months trying to stir the public against Boris. Starmer saw Boris has his biggest threat.

Citing the Suez Crisis is (at best) unhelpful; as the interviewer asserted, it would be a "vertical climb" - & with the best will in the world, this implacable belief in a sensible recovery in as little as two years...well, Howard is deluded. I am not a Tory voter - never have been; ultimately, that's not the point; as with Brexit, so to the current debacle, there has to come a point whereby accepting defeat is the only option - & Howard's political colleague (I believe rightly so) sees that a period in opposition would be a far more sobering option. Recent events have been so cataclysmic that it would take at least a decade to repair the damage, if not longer....accept your punishment with good grace.

The current situation is so much worse than Suez, because it is caused not by a single action, but by several big structural problems. Covid, the war in Ukraine, the looming Climate Catastrophe, the decades long lack of investment and lack of real economic growth in the UK, the underfunded NHS, and Brexit has created the perfect storm that the Conservatives have to weather. Some of these are not their fault, but they are the ones at the helm (and have been so for 12 years), and hopefully they will be taken to account.
