- Hey World thanks for visiting, I hope you will enjoy my show, and more to come, you can visit my facebook page as well ' Village Talk Guyana ' and leave comments as well, much appreciated.
It's very nice to see someone making a difference in Guyana. Job well done!👍🏼
I'm Guyanese and I understood everything
No your name is a Punjabi name
He asked her what she liked about selling there 27 years and she started with complaints
lol
Oh beautiful Guyana my lovely native land ...big beautiful Guyana yesssssss🙏
my dear Guyana. geographically south american, historically/culturally/politically west indian. always be proud no matter what anyone says about my country. fuck anyone who wants to talk down to it
I'm from Portmourant , I miss the bara ginger beer crush ice ECT.
The first lady he interviewed didn't understand the questions because she had too much bottle up inside, she just wanted to be heard by someone who will hear and understand her on what's happening. She did raise alot of great concerns.
i'am going to port mourant in April - my families home town - I'd like to get involved
Thanks for the comment, unfortunately I am taking over the show, and this is the only media that they can voice their frustration, with the history of Guyana, as soon as people see a vid camera, they become silent and are scared of being singled out etc etc..... some on the other hand don't mind talking and the VENT like crazy.... lol...
All views are important.
I appreciate all the comments good and bad, having moved back to Guyana just over 2 years now. Just to clear the air, I started with this show to try and 'Be the change you want to see'- Mahatma Gandhi. However, what I learned from doing this show is that the had particular people who they planted to play up the pros' (read between the lines)... So I went out on a limb and asked people whom did not agree with what was being said to get a grasp on the truth... obviously it did what I wanted it to do, but all I can say is that I have been to almost all corners of the Earth every single Country has its' issues, be 1st world to 3rd world, it's just that some hide it very well from the more blatant ones, needless to say I have left this show and hopefully starting a new show of my own. On my own rules showcasing all the various food, culture, drinks and so forth... I hope this clears some frustration on here, objective for this show was to showcase a bit of what the people are going through.
Thank you.
Allan Ramsarran
Allan kindly contact chamber of commerce by the fire station street and also Rose hall Town Council.these guys maybe responsible for what's going on @portmourant market good job for exposing the many issues of the market. These people need an advocate I love your video and music good job.
LMAO! I believe the first lady you interview didn't understand the questions you were asking. Instead of asking "why would someone come shop here at this market verses another market" you should have asked her "wha mek dem ah come yah so and den nah go deh so" I bet she would have understood. I hate to laugh, but that was seriously funny.
Lmao, at the interpretation though. Omg, too funny.
Praise the lord and kiss the queen BT now that you speak a little bit of English ! must be real proud of yourself to think you're better than them , wow look at you think you're so special .laughing at other people .
My Mum's family is from Port Mourant back in the day. My Grandfather used to run the sugar cane fields.
Great! Please do make more videos like this :)
great job allan! keep up the good work. good luck on your future endeavors
Hi Allan. You spoke, I listened. I hope all is well.
Nice god bless. Guyana
Thanks for this Allan, when are you coming St. Maarten? Would love for you to tour my island. Blessings
Just to inform you the english that they speak is a creole based english which is a fusion of african dialect, british english and east indian given the large east indian population as well as influence.Although the english that they teach and speak in secondary schools as well as universities and institutions is the british standard english being that its a former british colony.
So typing obscenities and acting like low life trash as well as being a tough guy behind a computer screen makes you even more smarter huh?Ignorance is totally bliss my friend.
fuck off auntyman!!!!
Your such a nice guy.
God what a comment
I liked what you were going for. It's unfortunate that everyone you interviewed only wanted to complain. I would suggest trying to steer the conversation in a different direction next time. But this is great for us expats who want to see what village life is like in Guyana. Looking forward to future episodes.
It is a shame that Indo-Guyanese vendors cannot voice their opinion regarding security, theft, or other problems they are having at Port Mourant Market in Guyana. There is no justice for the innocent in this country. It is a shame that so many Indo-Guyanese have to flee their beautiful country. Cheddi Jagan's Guyana was such a nice place to live. I am wondering whether Guyana would ever get better or worse.
One of the biggest problem in Guyana is justice for the innocent.
Original community!
IS THE TRAINING SCHOOL STILL TRAINING YOUNG GUYANESE
why a lot of you people here who are not Guyanese commenting if you are not familiar with the way they speak or the way of life. You are all second guessing and most of you here only knows book English and not English English
Chandra Singh speak in Guyanese Hindustani, we all love to hear it
I watch because I grew up in GT. I want to know everything. Folks are speaking of their lives. It's very interesting.
I loved going to the markets as a kid. Good memories. These folks work so hard. They feed us. We had our fave vendors/sellers. My first visit home is to Bourda Market. Cane juice, coconut. Food. Fruits. Seafood. Everything. Everything.
I wish better for everyone.
@@allisonabraham6078 oh Lord Alison this is five years ago I commented. I don't remember it or the reason I commented. I am 4th generation Guyanese. I lived in the corentyne my first 32 years them immigrated to USA
the lady only complaint too much... she was asked to say something positive about the market and what drew the crowd their but the bitterness of the guyanese people in general just always seem to come forward... fyi im guyanese also... i praise the patients of the host. good job.
DO NOT FORGET NOT FAR FROM HERE MOSES NAGGMOTTO WAS BORN
They need to rebuild the market in a way that have cubical so that vendors can have doors or gates to lock up their merchandise when the market is closed.
he needs to rephrase his question
Hi Allan, your enthusiasm and concern come through. Some suggestions.. think about incorporating some maps at the beginning as you describe the location of the village.
You were to talk about Port Mourant, but by 18.30 I got a bit wary of listening to the problems with the market. As you said, people want to vent. However, in this kind of show, the administration should have had some response as to why they dont have water, etc. 30 minutes is a long time. Do you research the villages before?
if i am understanding you clearly, indo guyanese are the only folks that flee from guyana? if you are a guyanese your are a guyanese, its a shame of how bad we guyanese are, that no matter where we go we still maintain the nasty sickness call prejudice.
The house was opposite the market. I think. But its been demolished now unfortunately.
what was up wit that first interviwe
Hey im from the ramsarran family we must be related
coolie
Thanks for the video i have a house in port mourant when you interview someone who seems not educated to answer questions cut short the interview and move on to someone else or delete that part of interview before posting
real talk!
All she has to say is bad things bout the market -_- ill be seeing this woman in a few weeks . Good thing my grandma works there .
HAVE YOU NOTICED ONLY THE INCOMPETENCE AND THE IGRONT GET THE JOB OF MANAGING THE MARKET
this place is Gyana brith? in nouth of Brazil? thanks
The market need to be improved unity is strength may be homeless people using the place for shelter,
I am very sorry to say, but the first few minutes tells a lot of the state of mind of the people. That lady is NOT answering the guy's question ans kept repeating the same thing over and over! People don't know how to answer questions nor are they seem to be able to give their OPINION when asked. And this is just my observation. I don't know how much of you guys out there will want to agree with it.... Thanks for posting!
you need to understand these are poor uneducated people and they are doing the best they can okay, so back off
reshmonbdiabetuc reading a. tarachand
I am sorry to say that's my weakness 😔 also.
Hey Vid, I try to get as much as possible before but sometimes I only know where I am going a day before, and instead of me 'knowing' I approach the situation more of letting them educate me about the area....... I don't want to come across like a smart-ass it would make them not want to talk, I try to get them to talk about the area and so forth....... If I get a few days before, I try and do as much research as possible.
Nice documentary but u picked the worse set of people to interview. It made us look uneducated.
i agree
Absolutely agree!
I don't agree l was an uneducated Fool in Rose Hall.1965 iattended town school and became smart look poverty in the eye and say to yourself. I Want To Be Somebody.
this is so sad and depressing to watch.
PEOPLE'S FROM NEW AMSTERDAM WHEN THERE'S CHILDREN COMES FROM OVER SEAS THEY GO TO PORTMOURANT MKT FOR FIS SHRIMPS
The women who was interviewed at the beginning doesn't understand the question you're asking her! She was annoying me!
He wasted too much time with the first interviewer.
Lady u have to tell the president
he aint gonna do crap for these pp
The place too hot indoor now but when they were selling on the streets under the Sun it was not hot.
How can you please these gooofs in Guyana.
You better watch your fucking mouth bitch
Guyanese go America then return to Guyana to live a nb d expect Guyana to be like America. Guyana is a third world country. We can't compare the two.
Our market is like USA Flee Market and those been there will now its out door in the hot sun, cold snow and disorganized.
Compare that to this market pound for pound and Guyana is better.
Blue
She is talking too much .Number one. Funny haha.
If your people are fleeing then you should talk about your people. There is no culture in Guyana any more the Indians lost everything. Why are people not feeling safe in Guyana? I would have love to live there once again. This country was really progressing at one time. Everything is so unkempt.
Asha Kuldip
She is not answering the question.
Urrrrr
Que porra de Inglês é esse?????????? Em 14:36 o senhor fala com muita dificuldade rs
Go fucking sell at another market.
Talk to someone else, plz!
I find the interviewer annoying lol. He clearly doesn't know how to interact with guyanese people. He speaks to them very odd
LADY PAGALI SKUNT
