I went to Usui last May with my friend. the road is very, VERY tight in some spots. It's nice to see this update lean into that a lot more. I wish someone would make an updated Myogi too. Myogi is really narrow and has some steep cliffs. Also, for anyone who is interested, if you visit Usui you can go up on the famous bridge and there's a tunnel path you can walk. If you go inbound to the second large parking lot you can take the stairs up to an abandoned station.
The amount of hours ive sunk into usui back when i first got my wheel was insane, every drift car id download this would be my go to test touge and i loved it. i can say ive mastered the og version of the map with the wdts cars and deatwishgarage cars. so seeing this pop up in my recommended made me happy, especially since im leaving to japan tomorow!
lol. we all have that one track we test cars on and tune accordingly. mine is tsukba fruit lines downhill and for testing ai I do akina downhill, but only until the first long straight.

At some points this map looks kinda small and makes the car look out of place car. And I don't mean just the narrow road, but trees and rocks at some sections make it look (when viewed from outside) as if I the car was too huge and map small.

It isn't a technique, that's a quality of the tyre, meaning slick tyres with harder sidewalls have less slip angle, and street tyres with softer sidewalls (meant for comfort) have more. This is like saying "the chassis is too stiff, let's get a chassis torsion technique" as if the more of it somehow made you faster???
I just got ac and went into the proper tracks folder, not the ac folder in doccuments, and it doesn't load it throws me an error and tells me track not found

Initial unity just uses "borrowed" assets from Assetto Corsa, and also hasn't been updated in years now meanwhile TS has semi-regular updates and they actually made the assets for it.
@TSRB for me I don't really like when assetto mimics real life I even edit ppf filters to make them more game esque. I lower my resolution to bump fps so 3d trees would kill my pc and the vibes
imagine this usui and new akina was ported into beamng with permissions from this map's creators, that'd be pretty cool ..seeing that the current akina and usui kinda stink
This long USUI has been in assetto for many years now. Layout wise, it's basically the same, this just has better textures and fixed some bugs from what my eye can see

I took a WRC car down it and it didn't feel out of place at all!
Usui feels like a Kei car touge to me, mostly because an R32 or an S14/S15 feels absolutely massive on it. Hell an RX-7 feels big on Usui.
You should try irohazaka if you think Isui feels narrow lol
Try shomaru or maze pass, even irohazaka, you'll feel differents afterwards i think :P

I've loved usui ever since i first watched Initial D, It's so fun to drive too.
I've been to usui IRL on a Honda vfr, and it was miserable. Nothing but rain for the whole week, and it was covered in wet leaves and pine needles.
That is a bummer, but even without getting to enjoy it properly, getting to visit such a legendary place on such a phenomenal bike sounds awesome.
