A medal to you for using an actual 94 GT for the job. I only wish you had listed the parts replaced by brand and number so we could know what to buy to do our own water pump replacement. Im planning to do this same job along with the radiator replacement on my own 94GT this coming summer. You also installed a new belt tensioner and a new udler pulley, correct? (1st comment)
Yes, I installed a new water pump, idler pulley, and belt tensioner. I purchased all the parts at Autozone. I can send you the parts link if you need them.

I have a 95 aode 5.0 306 with f cam 2800 rpm stall , I'm have this weird squeal coming from what sounds like the transmission from a cold start its fine idles about 980ish no squeal but seems little sluggish but once it get to Temps like 165 idles goes to almost 1200 and squeals and smooths out from being sluggish but squeals loud.. only in park or neutral when in drive its fine and rpms goes back to 980ish. I'm not sure what it is , I was thinking water pump not sure because it sounds like rear of motor not in front were pulleys are.. this is a fresh build minus the transmission haven't drove it yet besides around block
The torque converter housing is mechanically attached to the engine's crankshaft causing the pump to operate whenever the engine is running. It's why a worn or faulty pump makes a whining noise in all gears, including park and neutral.

Just had mine start leaking. It was a high flow pump. It had been on the car @220,000 miles. It was a good one.
