Ingenious using that now redundant hole in the motor board as a place to put a needle pot. A brilliant and tidy solution! Its great to see the process of how one of these is bought back to life.

Great restoration. I own a Garrard RC 65A, which need new condensers. I'll have them replaced soon.

    Hiya a few questions.
    1) Ever thought about wearing a cheapo mask, dust etc, especially the cadmium?
    2) would you take off the cadmium if it looked rough, messy etc?
    3) How would you do that?
    4) What would you do to replace the cadmium, spray paint?
Also great videos mate, keep it up, subscribed.
    Thank you.

The volume control in line with the pickup is a throwback to the conversion tone arms and pickups for fitting to wind up machines ( which connected to the Gram input on a seperate Wirless Reciever) ThoseLong playing needles are ok but they won’t play 60 sides. You’re better off using 1 side normal steel needles.i wouldn’t trust my 78 rpm records to them
