- Welcome aboard the Disney Magic for a Silver Anniversary at Sea sailing! We recently sailed on a 4 night Bahamian cruise out of Port Miami on the beautiful Disney Magic for the very first time! Embarkation day is always a fun one, as you get to explore the ship and learn your way around (especially if it is new to you!). In this video, we take you on a room tour of our deluxe inside stateroom, Cabin 5020, which actually turned out to be a "secret" room! This room has a porthole, so we essentially got an oceanview room for the price of an inside stateroom! We then explored the ship and take you on a tour of both the inside and outside decks before heading to dinner at Lumiere's and Tangled: The Musical.
There will be 4 vlogs in this series, so be sure to check them all out!

I was on the Magic last November for the TCM cruise. It was SO amazing, and the best part? No Kids!! After we got home we ordered the same mattress and linens.
Love it!
Glad we found your blog. We are going on our first cruise on Disney, the Magic to Panama Canal!!! We are so excited!!
Awesome itinerary! Hope you have the best time!
Such a fun start to the cruise! Very cool you still had a porthole at the inside rate. It was also fun to see some of the same performers I've seen on my recent cruises were on your cruise. I've only had one cruise so far when we didn't get a private table... It was a switch but also turned out great getting to know some other Disney fans. SO glad you were able to see Tangled, I think that is in my top 3 favorite Disney Cruise musicals. Excited to see more!
It’s always fun to see some of the same cast members! We ended up sitting with 3 nice couples, so it was fun to get to know others. Totally agree with Tangled, so good!!
So excited, we're headed down for our cruise on the Magic in 10 days!!! This is the perfect video!!
That’s so exciting!! Thanks for watching and be sure to check out the rest of the vlogs as they come out!
I remember making that drive last year. Glad you made it there safely. Driving down is next level lol. I am reliving the experience through your videos. Thanks!
Thanks for watching! It’s a hike, but it’s worth it once you’re on board!
Going to be on the Magic in February! Thanks for the great introduction to the ship.
Awesome! Hope you have a great cruise!
I'm going this week & I CANNOT WAIT!! This will be my husband & 4yr old son's first cruise ever. This is my 1st Disney Cruise ever,
You’re going to have a great time! Enjoy it!
Just booked a Disney magic cruise for my son’s 5th birthday next year. It’ll be our first cruise, we’ve been to Disney World the past 2 years for his birthday so we’re excited to get a different Disney experience! This video is very helpful and makes me so excited! About to watch the next 3 now!
We hope you have a great time!! Thanks for watching!
Great tips! Only been on the Wonder so far. Thanks for sharing and have a Magical Happy Birthday!
Thank you!! The Wonder on an Alaskan sailing is a bucket list itinerary for us!
Very excited to follow you guys on another cruise series! Also...love the RSVLTS shirt! Just ordered a couple for our next cruise!
That’s awesome! Love their shirts! Which ones did you pick up?
@@MattAndAlexVlogs The “Lil Mickeys” like you have and the “Gang’s all Here” one as well!
Good choices! Enjoy them!
love the cruise vlogs!! they make me so excited for my first disney cruise next year!
We love to hear that! Thank you for watching along!
It was fun to watch this! My son and daughter in law were on this cruise for their honeymoon/babymoon and they were two of your dinner table mates. I bet Kenny loved your shirt! He has seen Nate wear those on paging mr morrow and he loves those kind of shirts. It was cool to see the ship that they were on when they were actually on it. I mean, I know a few days later but just that I knew they were there somewhere. 😄
So cool you found us! They were both so nice!
We just got back from the Disney magic cruise, took our daughter for her birthday week. So much fun and the crew and characters were super nice. Would do it over again
We’re glad you had a good time! Thanks for watching!
WOW another cruise series!
Oh yeah! 🛳️
It was so much fun
I’ll be on the Magic in a few days (for 14 nights!!!). The weird thing in the bathroom is for shavers and to suction the hairs after shaving. This will be my 10th Disney cruise- but first on the Magic! So excited!!!
Wow 14 nights! Have a great time!
I’m going on a Disney cruise next year m so happy you made this video!
Hope you find the videos helpful! Thanks for watching!
You guys I was there and it was so much fun mexico and private island in bahamas was so much fun and I saw myself
Hope you had a fun cruise!
Sick dude I’m 14 I wa sitting at the hot tip rails while you were there darn y’all were so close awesome vacation it was you guys ❤️
So excited for my daugthers birthday on the boat this year. !!!!
Sounds like it’ll be a great birthday! Thanks for watching!
Well of course it feels smaller on Deck 5...The ceiling is lower deliberately to make kids feel bigger because the kid's clubs are on that level...a little forced perspective which Disney is known for. Also, those "hairdryers" are just holdovers from a past life..haha..a very very old hairdryer.....there should also be an updated regular hair dryer in the desk drawer(i see you found it!)
And YES Lumier's, Triton's, Royal Court and Palace are all the same signature menu. (French Inspired). Also the menu in Animators is the same on all 4 older ships. Enchanted Garden while different is still similar to one of Rapunzels and Tiana's menus and somewhat based on Prince and Princess themed menu....if you look at the old themed menus.
I need to get your Capt Mickey shirt for my husband- where did you get it? So excited going on the Magic in 20 days!!
I got that shirt on my last cruise! They sell them in the stores onboard. Hope you have the best time!
We are sailing on the Magic in September. How do you manage to score the bigger veranda rooms? (i.e. your room on the Dream ca 2019 was huge!! 😊). Loved seeing the one with a port hole though. We may look at that for Alaska or Merrytime cruises in the future. 🥰
You can book those larger verandahs! This room was technically an inside room, but there are a couple of inside rooms that actually have a porthole. If you’re looking for a verandah, just make sure you book that and you’ll be good to go. If you’re considering Alaska, a verandah is a must do 👍🏻
Just came across this video as I was missing 25th Anniversary Sail-a-Wave haha! The Magic is such a beautiful ship, and we can't wait to go back! Also, I'm curious on your experience sitting with randomized families? My fiance and I have a theory that Disney groups folks together who are in similar age or family brackets and we lucked out in May with awesome people. I'll be watching the rest of this series and your Fantasy videos for sure!
Thanks for watching! We had a positive experience sitting with others (this also happened on our most recent sailing on the Wish). Your theory is correct! Since it's just the two of us, Disney will always pair us with other couples without kids. The same goes for families, they try to group the families based on ages of kids, etc.
That's so interesting, but that's all a part of what makes DCL so cool! Maybe someday we will cross paths in a rotating dining locations 😃@@MattAndAlexVlogs
Another thing, there are no ironing board or iron in the rooms, you would need to go to the laundromat room to find the iron.
Correct!
Cruised DCL 32 times and we’ve been seated alone. On all 5 ships. I think you were probably on a sold out cruise. If I was a tablemate I’d tell you to record
Good to know! There was barely any private tables on the Magic as opposed to the many that we’ve seen on the Dream and Fantasy. Thanks for watching!
@@MattAndAlexVlogs yup. I know the 25th anniversary sailings have been pretty full. But seems like you were open to tablemates even though you requested which is great and if you had the Animators show that does slow service down
I was in the cruise
So I wanted to book one of those secret interior rooms with a porthole, but it's actually more expensive than an oceanview with a full window on the sailing I'm looking at 🤔
Oh wow. Guess it just depends!
Hello, where did you park? Im going on the same cruise next week. Im looking for the closest garage
There’s a parking garage directly across from the terminal entrance!
@@MattAndAlexVlogs You're the man Matt!! Thanks for the quick reply. 👍🏼
So which Disney cruise is the best ones for couples with no rugrats?
We’ve enjoyed the Dream, Fantasy and Magic, all for different reasons! But we would say ship-wise, we still prefer the larger ships (Dream and Fantasy). The ships all have different itineraries, so be sure to pick a destination that you want to see first, then the ship will follow.
@MattAndAlex- does the sofa bed fold out?
It doesn’t pull out, but the top of the couch folds onto the bottom and becomes a bed. So the back cushions of the couch, if you’re sitting on it, fold on top of the bottom cushions.
How many pools
1 main pool for families, 1 adults only pool, 1 splash zone for kids under 3 and 1 water themed playground (not a pool). So technically, 2 pools.
Disney should really replace those ugly old fashioned couches in the cabins.
They could use a little facelift, but they’re not so bad
I’m glad you’re happy but I’ll tell you as a grown adult with no kids no way I’m going on a Disney cruise..
You’re missing out! There’s plenty for adults to do on the ship and you can do as much or as little “Disney” as you want.
Inside staterooms have NO windows in them! If you have a Ocean View Stateroom it is NOT an inside room, it's on the out side staterooms of the ship! NOT AN INSIDE ROOM!!!!!
Incorrect. This room is categorized as an inside, look it up 👍🏻
