    Just finished seeing this video and yes I think I had a chat with you at the trail head. I noticed my 4-Runner in the parking lot at the Fern lake trail head. 😊

      You're welcome! Thanks for watching. I'm just so bad at planning. Like I am sitting here right now trying to decide where to go tomorrow.

      Always, one of my favorite lake hikes in Rocky! And, I was hurrying to get to the bus…..in my head. My legs just weren’t cooperating. LOL. Thanks again for a wonderful hiking adventure with my favorite hiking guide! ❤

    Great hike, even though its a burn area it is still pretty.Its coming back slowly. Lots of excitement in the parking lot at least the bus was in the parking lot an not going down while on fire.

    Beautiful day and hike! Love hiking to Odessa from Bear Lake! I often only have so many hours to hike in a day and I'll choose this trail. Except I'll come back up Joe Mills Mountain just so my butt got kicked. LOL! You had some excitement on your shuttle bus ride back. About month ago we were on the shuttle bus from Bear Lake back to Park and Ride and the driver hit the guardrail going around a curve. People standing were thrown to the floor. I don't think that driver has a job anymore.

      Haha! Yeah, you go smashing into the stationary guard rail you probably shouldn't be driving a public bus in Rocky. On the bus ride back from Fern to the Park & Ride the driver had to call in because the gas light was on. She's like "never seen that one before!".

      @@nicksangetta8874 LOL!!! Glad you both got back to your car. Can't wait to see where you go tomorrow. You and your mom have been such an inspiration for me. I never took the winter, this year off and I've passed 500 miles this year and I just passed 1000 miles in 21 months of 25 months since my first hike in Colorado, July 27, 2021. Thanks for all the help through your videos.

    I was wondering if you ever made that hike but split off towards Cub Lake from the Pool and then split off that trail to Bear Lake past Beierstadt and made a loop out of it in either direction?

    • @nicksangetta8874
      @nicksangetta8874  Год назад +1

      I have never taken it from the Pool all the way back up to the Bear Lake TH.. but I have hit Bierstadt from north once. I got a super old video for it.

      @@nicksangetta8874 Hey Nick do you use a chest mount or backpack strap mount for the GoPro? The backpack mounts seem kind of cheap or like they will slide down the strap.

      @@Miderguy_ Hello from the summit of the Needles! i got this heavy duty metal Ulanzi backpack mount. It has a button you push in to release and you can also lock it in. But I clip and unclip that thing probably 125 times per hike. Its still workin!
