And The 2024 NBA Draft arrives next week and everyone yawns, because there are no transcendent players who are thought of as generational Talents so interest will shift to Basketball in The Summer Olympics, which starts next month. Oh, yes, NBA Summer League Games begin soon and THe 3 on 3 League Games and don't forget The WNBA.
The funny thing about Stephen A. He was one of the ones who said Curry is the Small the be successful in the NBA. And probably someone who boo'ed when Knicks drafted KP. Stephen A Smith aka Back Paddling King. Also The GSW have had the best player Development staff in history since 2015.
Mark Jackson is the one that allowed Steph and Klay to shoot the ball whenever they felt like it from wherever they felt like shooting it from. No NBA coach had ever done that. Teams were shooting 7 to 8 three-pointers again and Mark Jackson allow them to shoot as many three-pointers as they wanted to, that is the difference
Well, yea, as both said, drafting Steph was only one piece of everything else that went right for the Warriors to become that dynasty, so the Knicks doing only one of those things doesn't mean they would've had that success. The "what if" question about Steph is interesting. When the Warriors gave him that first "big" contract, which turned out to be the best bargain in the league, there were questions about that. I remember the media asking the question "should you give someone with his injury issues that contract?" Lacob did, Dolan would've probably sent him away, like he sent away so many other players after a few years without success (even without injury issues). So not only would the Knicks not have that success, if Steph had the same personal career track (not winning as much without the rest of the Warriors moves) his good years wouldn't be with the Knicks anyway. Dell has been telling that Knicks draft story for years. Why is this an item today of all days? Are the Knicks fans in the studio having such a hard time with Boston winning a championship yesterday?
But the Knicks did have Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups and Amare Stoudermire at the time. Granted health would still be an issue, but talent wise, Steph with that cast would probably a good Eastern Conference contender.
It was karma for GS to get Curry. A payback for Knicks getting Ewing in the first year of the lottery draft when Warriors were the worst team that year.
@@RJtheGOD he had a huge impact on the team, what I’m saying is he wasn’t right for the Knicks due to injury. Like this season if you put KP on the Knicks and he’s healthy they might’ve beaten Boston. But he wasn’t healthy
SAS saying he begged the Knicks to draft Mitchell, but on his show right after the 2017 draft, he didn't mention Mitchell. He was upset that the Knicks passed up Malik Monk. SAS mentioned Dennis Smith Jr. and Zach Collins....never once mentioned the name of the guy he was supposedly "begging" the Knicks to take.
He wouldn't be as praised. His whole career Klay Thompson has had to guard the best guard for him while also allowing him to have an extra shooter to pick up the slack when he was missing shots.
Steph Curry would probably have more scoring titles and more eye popping numbers like he did in 2021. His 2021 season was out of necessity cause he was playing with a bag of chips and roll of tissue paper(32/6/6 on 48/43/92 splits). His career average on the Knicks would’ve been more like 29/5/8 or something but obviously with how poorly that franchise is run he’d have no rings, although Steph and Carmelo would’ve been interesting to see.
If Steph Curry had got drafted to Knicks in 2009, he would've asked out of New York by the year 2012 or 2013. Knicks Front Office and James Dolan would've found a way to rub Steph Curry the wrong way (figuratively & literally) back then. Steph would've been on a new team by 2013.
It would have been the same the cream always rises to the top. If we understood why most people would be great. I watching how they play he would have made a lot of players great with the style he plays and how many people it takes keying on him to stop him
I didn’t watch the nba finals other than KPs game 1 masterpiece. As a lifelong basketball fan I was disappointed. Looking forward to the nfl season 😂. It’s more exciting at this point
lol aye Jordan Hill was nice in college tho with all due respect and in 2009 they were busy paying guards in New York like they are doing now. It’s like drafting curry rn If the Knicks had the option
The Knicks would’ve traded Steph after all those ankle injuries cuz under those regimes they lacked basic patience. Most teams actually would’ve traded Steph.
The new york knicks franchise failed all their rookies and wouldn't have patience for curry's injuries just like they ruined PorzinGod and now hes a champ with boston
I love the Knicks, but thank God Curry didn’t become one. Knicks ownership Destroys Stars. You have to leave to become one. Curry is a star based on that alone.
@@whacc_ they would win rings of course but it would take some time for them to develop into what they are today. And Knicks probably wouldn’t let Curry go 😂
The NBA off-season has truly arrived.
I can’t wait to see the moves. Never been this excited
The offseason will be better than the postseason.

Those Phil Jackson days had Max renounce the knicks and Stephen a crash out every show 😂
Everybody Wins! - Molly , We haven't Won yet! - Stephen A. 😂
LMFAO
It’s crazy I thought about this yesterday

NGL as a NY resident I feel SAS's pain.
hey Monica is back. her penance was much shorter than I thought.🤣🤣🤣🤣
she was back the next day lol
Thank you for teaching me a new word. I had to Google penance.
@@nothembajozi2862 Same here lol
ESPN is owned by Disney. Ain’t no way she was going anywhere even if she cussed Stephen A out and talked smack about his family
Her take has nothing to do with the question 🤣🤦🏽♂️
Maybe Steve Kerr actually takes the Knicks job if Steph was there
yeah, Kerr was obviously chasing for Steph even when he was with Phoenix as a manager
NYK management is terrible. They could have pick Haliburton over Toppin in 2020, SGA over Knox in 2018, Donovan Mitchell over Frank Ntikilina in 2017.
Mark Jackson is the one that allowed Steph and Klay to shoot the ball whenever they felt like it from wherever they felt like shooting it from. No NBA coach had ever done that. Lol we doing 2k seasons on ESPN now?
Uh Oh, the time after NBA and before NFL starts has hit us quick.
The morning after a team wins a Championship? This? Cringe. I wish Espn was losing NBA rights not TNT.
They covered it already, stop crying
Wah Wah.
Grown man crying about what’s on RUclips.
There is a dozen videos of them talking about the finals right here on RUclips.
That means your celtics trophy is irrelevant no one cares if they won it 😂

I feel you Stephen A, but the timberwolves had 2 picks in that draft and we picked Johnny Flynn and Ricky Rubio. SMH
Imagine Rubio, Curry and Love together.
molly:" give it time"
stephan A: "the last time the knicks got championship i was 3 years old.... ladies and gentlemen Im 55 now"
what year is it?
This team around SA is Very good, Love the interaction with Molly
It was karma for GS to get Curry. A payback for Knicks getting Ewing in the first year of the lottery draft when Warriors were the worst team that year.
Totally true
I'm thankful to Jerry West for making the Splash Brothers happen 🎉
"Stephen A weighs in on a 15 year old topic." Cutting edge reporting.
Nothing else to talk about. Let’s play what if!
As a Knicks fan he wouldn’t be like he was in golden state
SAS was also against Porzingis getting drafted. Now he was an important piece on the Celtics finals run.
“We've been hoodwinked, bamboozled, lead astray, run amok and flat out deceived!” 😂
He played 7 games in the playoff run, Celtics are just loaded. That wouldn’t fly on any of the Knicks teams since the year Porzingis was drafted
@@LoftyXsWaGX34 what about the regular season buddy. He had a great impact there also
@@RJtheGOD he had a huge impact on the team, what I’m saying is he wasn’t right for the Knicks due to injury. Like this season if you put KP on the Knicks and he’s healthy they might’ve beaten Boston. But he wasn’t healthy

LMAO sas funny af
Why he gotta do this every year we get it 😂😂😂

Is it me or is Molly being increasingly rude to SAS? Feels like it by the day and I’m here for it
Yo we knew this for over ten years now, homie was photographed reading dan Toni book, even said he bought the book and was reading it .
What about the fact that Phil Jackson did try to hire Steve Kerr.
Steph Curry would probably have more scoring titles and more eye popping numbers like he did in 2021. This is what they are talking about
Why is everything... that the Knicks should have.... Crazy
Steph would’ve had more success if he would’ve went to the Knicks. Mike D’Antoni was the coach at the time Steph would’ve averaged 40 in that system
Stephen a came up with this question so he could rant about the Knicks being a possible contender for a title.
Idc about Monica’s opinion, I just want to listen to Stephen A.

That would’ve been a blessing for NYK fans smh we were right there that year smh
the best thing to ever happen to curry not being drafted by the knicks
I’m convinced Knick fans live in fantasy land..
Minnesota had 2 Pick back to back before Golden State the Knicks should trade one of those Wolves pick before the Warriors took
It would have been the same the cream always rises to the top. If we understood why most people would be great. I watching how they play he would have made a lot of players great with the style he plays and how many people it takes keying on him to stop him
No because klay and draymond helped Steph more than any other teammate

SAS is tired already he went like next year we’re winning it all and maybe SAS will retire this early 😝
It’s not like the Knicks passed on him! He was already gone by then! 😂😂😂
They could have traded up if they wanted to get him, but they didnt. Although I doubt anyone would trade up for Steph in that draft class.
@@tigera6 T’Wolves were stupid to pass on him twice! 😂
Who knows obviously but I think he would have been awesome in NY with D’antoni. I mean if Nash was a two time MVP what would Steph had been?
lol aye Jordan Hill was nice in college tho with all due respect and in 2009 they were busy paying guards in New York like they are doing now. It’s like drafting curry rn If the Knicks had the option
if curry was with the knicks, he woulda never lost that fmvp in 2015 and 2016 series, NY would not allow the refs to ruin their star
Something will apply to bulls and any other team
What if SA was on undipusted
come on man we had a good year this year, can we not go down this road for once?
Steve kerr was key to Steph curry, he allowed him to shoot those ridiculous shots. 99 per cent of the other coaches would have benched curry
Mike D Antony might let him shoot as well.
So Monica is back on "First Take"!
did molly just said "love you long time?"
Jrue holiday would of been a great fit for that horrible knicks team in 2009 who best player was a hurt Tracey mcgrady .
