The change in the atmosphere between 1978 and 2006 from the perspective of the protagonist, when i was playing in the 70's the city was more colorful and bright, but in 2006 the colors were gone, the city was ugly and dirty. At the time i didn't like the change but now i know we were seeing the game from his perspective, from the perspective of someone who wasted his life in jail, he gone from a young man full of energy who saw beauty in everything to an adult who could see nothing but the worst in everything, great game
I know... HE served time for a crime he didn't even committe. He didn't marry or started a family. That damn prison took his youth. He never got a chance to get back and finish collage. Poor kid.

This game has always really fascinated me. T.K. went prison for 28 years. To put that into perspective, this game came out in 2006, so if he went prison then, then he’d still have 12 years left of his prison sentence to this day. Imagine spending all that time in a horrid conditioned prison cell, watching yourself get older and imagining everything you’re missing out on, knowing you didn’t even do the crime that put you there. Imagine the anger you’d have once you finally get out and seeing the people who screwed you are all successful (besides the Mexican anyway) and have lived their life how they wanted to. So crazy and I feel the passion from TK and empathise with him and have watched the storyline cutscenes the whole way through multiple times. It really makes me feel a weird emotional way when I do. Another thing is that, considering the amount of people in the world, it’s pretty much guaranteed that at LEAST 1 person has lived a life pretty much the same as him - 18 in the 70’s, wheelman, framed for a murder, got a life sentence in prison, so in a way it’s kind of acting out someone’s life story, although that comparison isn’t needed for me to feel the empathy and emotion I do towards TK. What an amazing game. When I listen to the song ‘Suicide - Pop The Blue’ from the soundtrack of this game, I really get into a focused, targeted anger type mode that I can imagine TK would have felt when listening to it in game, and I kind of feel like him when I do.
For me this game had a quite bittersweet if not outright tragic ending, you manage to get revenge on everyone but you end up all alone, after finding out that you just managed to help Corrigan clear out his past connections and the worst, with the help of your childhood friend Ray, who simply got killed as a result, and while I like the plot twist of TK not firing the bullet he planned his whole 28-year stay at prison, he just departs on his own after giving him to Maria, probably never to meet her again. So now he's basically a 46-year old version of what he was at his 18 before being introduced to the gang, just an ordinary wheelman and street racer who spent more than half of his existence behind bars, as his quest for revenge ended up erasing his past with the gang as well.
Now he’s going to get to live. I’m 42 now ( honestly never thought I would be this old. ) I figure I’ve still got at least 40 good years left. T.K. Should still have about the same give or take. His past is dead and now he can make himself a future
Ace You might be quite disappointed.. The FMVs were rendered outside of the game engine, and the actual game looks nothing like them.. Its still perfectly playable though..
But man imagine play this game with this graphics? Or better it would be so cool, I think if they would make a remake they could like connect the driver 76 with this driver and join the both, show things we don't see in game, like tk in prison like mafia 2 prison mission

Mine too. Driver PL has been a favorite game of mine since I played it on my old PS2, Gotta love the thrill cam mode, the story and the soundtrack. With the cgi cutscenes and story it definitely deserve a movie.

For me Driver Parallel Lines has more realistic vehicle pyhsics than GTA San Andreas Also for the graphic of the "cinematic" cutscene(not in-game cutscene) its seen like a last-gen(ps3,xbox 360) But dissapointly, here are no much activity can do in this game

You can't use Keanu, for one he's too old for the part, he's too distinctive to easily find a young counterpart for the 1978 era, and everyone who sees him thinks Neo or John Wick. You need an unknown. Getting games onto the silver screen is something that needs to be done carefully.

Yup, it's like the 70's had the " golden" tint on everything, but on the 2000's era, it was more "clear blue " tinted
