When people talk about renovating a building or chateau my mind doesn't go to wallpaper and chandeliers, it usually goes to concrete slabs, IPN's, beams, new roofs and zinc flashing and then of course much further down the line ,,,, wallpaper ,,,,,, chandeliers ! We are ALL rooting for you Dan and will follow you blindly into this renovation !
After over 80 years , Why didn't one of the 200 Children step up and try to save this Home that sheltered them from the clutches of the Nazi's ? Now the house stands in ruin for 50s of neglect .
The driveway looks amazing. The Chateau even in snow and open to the air is beautiful! I think the old girl is catching on to a new energy and heart coming to her rescue. Take care of yourself.
This chateau is why I first started watching your channel. No roof, a tree or several growing up through it. And the history behind the chateau makes it irresistable. I'm really glad you're back at it.
The overhead shot of Nick from right above him in the tree is gorgeous. But then the music, filming, you and Nick are always a very good thing. Stay safe out there.
Just for one second Dan you stand and ponder but nothing truly fazes you. Which store bottles your enthusiasm and courage to tackle such projects, so many people admire your work ethic. The boys must think you are Superdad!!
Dan you have so much going for you. We love you. Your boys love you. Your very talented. Your property is amazing. You have great friends. Keep on keeping on. ❤️
I have to agree you are incredibly prosperous! All that and your fans adore you. I can’t believe how much you done today and it looks beautiful. I can’t believe what a huge difference. It makes just raising all of those site lines. Take care of yourself and feel better. 💜🤟🏻🤗🇺🇸💪🤒🤧😷🤕
There are certain people that come to your attention in life and you get an overwhelming feeling that you just want the best for them. Dan you are one of those people. I sense your vision for this chateau and I want it to come together in a perfect and wonderful way. I am getting excited for you.
Nick is like, why climb down the tree when I can just swing across.... I was holding my breath, literally. Amazing man. Dan, that drone shot of the chateau coming into view from the mist was absolutely magical. One day, you are going to direct movies, or as Jack P. learned "cinema." That was darling. Take care of that man flu. Don't give it to Amaury!!!! 🧡
I just wanted to say how much I appreciate that you’ve gone back to the daily vlogs. It’s feels so much more like we are up on what’s going on, and how all those small steps are progressing towards a set project in the overall scheme of things. Thanks!
I love to watch Nick work on the trees, he’s so talented , confident and careful. What an amazing pine tree! Imagine the history it’s seen. What nasty weather. Loved the drone shots Dan, stunning. The chateau just stands out beautifully. Dan, I love the music you choose, it’s my kinda treat. Get some warm work boots. Aw… man flu is rough. Hugs
Dan having a knowledgeable arborist like Nick is so helpful he knows exactly what needs to done without butchering the trees he brings them back to a healthy life and you and your family are going to be able to enjoy your beautiful property this year spring will be here before we know it getting snow for the next 4 days in southern ontario canada !and again would love some of that mulch these branches are going to make !
What a result!! I instantly thought, what if you planted rododendron bushes, all along the driveway? They'll get the acidic soil, they love, and now, that the trees have been trimmed, some sunlight will reach them too! The dark, green leaves are nice - and when they bloom - what a sight, that could be 😍
They are lovely in bloom and have a nice scent. I wouldn't have them in my garden as they can be invasive. Camellias do the same job and flower in spring, without becoming a nuisance.
Yes - I wish he’d get the darn SAFETY boots to protect his feet!! Another thing we followers of your vlog will shut up about when you do 😁. Totally enjoy watching Nick do his magic. And, Dan - give yourself a few days OFF and rest.
Wow, Nick is amazing, not just in his occupation, but as a person, educated, loyal, just all around good people, Dan you are a strong soul too, how do you do it? Well you know all of the viewers are enjoying the videos, you and family have a blessed weekend. It is cold here.
I know that it’s not fun working out in the cold and snow, but it sure did make for some pretty footage for trimming the pines back! The chateau sitting there covered with snow looked magical from the drone shots and it made me think that if it could speak it might say that it hasn’t felt this much love in ages…especially in the snow.
I love seeing videos where people are bringing historic properties back to life and saving some history. Well done, and look forward to seeing your progress with it. (Look after that flu first, though!) From Halifax, Nova Scotia (east coast Canada)
@@newfoundland3238 Well hey there, in Connecticut! Hope you folks are having better weather than we are at the moment. Newfoundland is the only province I’ve never been to - it’s on my bucket list. What part of it are you from?
Beautiful snow photos with great music! Thank you, Dan, for sharing your friend Nick! Excellent Job on clearing the drive of tree limbs and view to your chateau!
Awesome job as usual Dan the Man! I am so ready for you to finish the house for Annylis and the boys so you can get to work full time on your very own Chateau! YEARS of fun forthcoming! LOL
Beautiful drone footage and great music❤. Everything you do on that property breathes life and brings the dignity and purpose to the surface. Crack on!!🤗
Love that you are trimming the trees up and back, it's like we are getting a peek under the skirt to see the beautiful beauty that is the Chateau. Take care of yourself with that man flu.
I'm guessing that Nick the tree surgeon is never cold because he's dressed properly for the weather. Dan, your about the same built, ask him where he gets his clothing? After all your going to be spending more then just one winter working on your chateau. It will be an excellent investment.
Such progress and the Chateau is looking so good and so loved already. Take care Dan and we just love your style. PS Nick is amazing. All love from Australia.
Dan please wear safety shoes or boots! The cold must be going right through your feet and now you're sick. Sorry. It's the mother in me that needed to say this to you. Love you lots. What an amazing person you are!
You gentlemen take care of yourselves, Dan. You shouldn't be out in the cold for hours on end with that virus. And the trees look extra slick and cold to be working on. I love that giant pine tree! Take good care💗
Dan you looked warmer with your long sleeves and gloves 😜, prayers for your man flu 😷🤧 to go away!Nik and you did a great job today. Hurry Spring 🌼🌱 As much warmer weather 🌡️,Love watching you at the Chateau, working your bum off.! It's going to be epic!

Wonderful - creative vlog shots, and strong perseverence by Dan and Nick! P.S. Just ignore any '"armchair experts" that might pipe in, Dan:) Yes, the driveway looks SO much better - great job and kudos to both of you guys! You both deserve a day off -
The chateau showing her soul now!! love the video, love the drive, and love the music, keep up the good work, have a rest day and take care of yourself, nothing will get done if you are ill.
An amazing huge pile of woodchips will be great for landscaping if you do start some in the spring. Obviously the chateau will be done in stages, costs allowing, so design and soil works on the landscaping could a great thing to do during those gaps.
I love to watch Nick working. My son is an Arborist who also climbs. So many skills and so much strength required, it is fascinating to watch them work.
Well done! Nick you are a wonderful hard working and knowledgeable man. Dan, I wish you well. Please take care of your health. This dream will come true.

Any idea about the song/Artist ?
I loved the music he chose.
