Long Nose aren't any safer they're equally unsafe. More prone to engine explosion or parts in the bonnet from intruding the cabin in the same crash where a cab over's front cabin would squeeze, they have poorer visibility, & long bonnet in the front would have more chances to get hit as it's longer.

I think India should move towards trailer trucks for heavy load transport and reintroduce long nose trucks for expressway transit and improve safety standards in both types
I like Cabin over trucks than the long nosed ones. Cabin Over trucks have enough space behind the driver's seat for the co-driver to rest etc. In short they are more comfortable than the short Cabin long nose trucks.
Trucks is a life line for our village and people there. We have seen a lot of progress in our village due to trucks only...... From employment to infrastructure development.
Same reason long nose truck disappeared in Europe. Now only long nose truck there in USA and Canada where the truck nose is not counted in the total length.
Bangladesh also imported those trucks. Most of the trucks in our country were them. After the cease production in Indian those trucks are no more in Bangladesh too. Miss those.

Humanity is there but lesser as 2-3 decades before
