As a result, I killed 15 dinosaurs, the rest went to eat their corpses, because they could not bite me (I have 25% of health left)
Maip may be one of the BEST modded dinos yet! If only for the move sets and vocals! Love how they gave this Megaraptoran these demonic "SCREAM of the Damned" vocals! And to think that Megaraptorans may be a clade of Tyrannosauroids, or at least very closely related to them! 😈
@@66Traveler99 depends on whose research you're going with. Right now, the data very strongly supports their position within Coelurosaria. With some evidence going as far to show at least a very close relation to Tyrannosauroidae or as a sister clade or just inside Tyrannosauroidae too.
@@66Traveler99 just because it's looks similiar to allosaurids doesn't mean they were closely releated, by that logic, platypuses and ducks are closely related when they're not. same can be applied to hedgehogs and porcupines
@@66Traveler99 you're kind of missing some of the points. You're conflating Tyannosaurids and Tyrannosauroids. Tyrannosaurids had the more iconic T. rex, Das and Albertsaur body builds. Go back to the really basal Tyrannosauroids (ie Proceratosaruidae and Stokesosaurus from the Jurassic, or Dilong and Eotyrannus from the Early Cretaceous) and you have Tyrannosauroids that look very, very different from the Tyrannosaurids who may better resemble primitive Ceratosaurs or even Allosaurs in the builds and proportions. And superficial similarities, like body build and limb proportions are often due to distantly related animals evolving to fill similar niches. If you compare Megaraptorans, like Maip, to these basal Tyrannosauroids, you'll start to notice a LOT of shared characteristics in their skeletal anatomies that strongly suggest a close evolutionary relationship between the two groups, before they eventually diverged. The question is when did Megaraptorans and Tyrannosauroids diverge? Was it early on in the mid Jurassic, which could make them just a sister clade to Tyrannosauroidae, or was it much later into the Jurassic, which could then nest them as a very unique Gondwanan Tyrannosauroid clade that evolved their own unique morphologies? And keep in mind that we have really a hand full of "decent" or good-ish Megaraptoran skeletons so far, and much of their evolutionary history is still a complete mystery.

For community servers they should only allow the vampiric bite to be used on prey or enemies. Because people could just heal mid fight from their friend.
I think the vampiric bite is supposed to combo with the claws. Since the claws do so much damage, the vampiric bite is meant to he used seldomnly to feed a bit of extra survivability to it. The cooldown might be too harsh atm, but it could be broken too if used in a way to take health from friends.

I've been playing pot for abt 2 to 3 weeks now and I've kinda been struggling. I haven't gotten any pvp in and its just questing for a dino and then getting killed to groups. I also can't find any groups what so ever, I've tried everything in the book and it's really a problem. I also don't know any good servers to play on so if you could give me some that would be very much appreciated. I love your content, keep it up bro❤
about you not posting can u do the andrewsarcus today and do everything plus a 1 hour pvp in the vid bc ive waited a min for it and i need to know if its worth me playing
Megaraptorans are my favorite theropod esp. Maip. I am looking forward to it's senses. And some tweaks to make it better. Maybe they should increase the regular claw attack to 70. I noticed, you like toothy dinos
His health is the only issue I have with him. He's a major glass cannon and has the same health as a Dilophosaurus while the other stats are similar to their Yutyrannus mod which also is a glass cannon when it was bigger than Allosaurus with a stronger bite in real life. Maip was the largest and strongest of the megaraptors and was the apex predator of it's time in South America being around the size of Allosaurus in real life. There's no reason it should then have the health of Dilophosaurus and gets killed so easily when it should be at 700 like Allo or around that range instead of 550 or 650 like Yutyrannus. Everything else is fine but it needs a health buff regardless of if they nerf the attacks or not but the vampirc bite should have a shorter cool down. When I tried different servers last night everyone that wasn't a Maip was just hunting them down since they're so easy to kill. Considering the dinosaur itself the stats or at least the health doesn't match it at all.
No they actually need to be nerfed, can keep up with a patchy, can bleed out everything,it’s agile, can climb difficult terrain it’s literally the most op thing ever and combined with an group, they are the best op midtier, imagine it in groups and with the vampiric bite?
5 days later this thing is just op on community server he have no real counter in mid Carni. Deal big damage big bleed crazy buff and very fast, the Maip really need at least a speed nerf and maybe a nerf for raw damage or a cooldown..

Vamp bite got buffed and cooldown reduced by 20%, it now heals 45 instead of 30. Definitely worth it to take for extra survivability.

You can have up to 3 teamates, and if tou bite all their tails at once it restores yp to half hp and deals like no dmg
We need more hunts in game stalking ect that would fit this dino nicely
There is ONE more thing wich it can bite and heal as for now coz it may be a bug so i won'tt say it so PT mod devs won't fix, but heals like crazy
